A cute scene in which Neko and Tyle dance together at a festival in Corona, growing ever closer.

Neko loves the Tangled world. It's colorful, rich in its history, and the festivals were tons of fun. She's been to them a couple times, and she always enjoyed herself. The dancing, well, she could live without that particular aspect, but everything else was fun.

Which is why she narrows her eyes at Tyle when he offers his hand to her, music playing in the background and people swaying in circles. She flicks her dark eyes to one of the buildings, trying to ignore the two toned boy's expectant gaze and cocky grin.

"No," she says, daring to look at her friend again. He still wears that stupid, arrogant grin, yet his eyes glimmer with a hint of gentleness. It's as if he knows she doesn't want to go in the crowd for fear of people noticing her claws and fangs. Neko looks away again, a touch of pink dusting across her cheeks. "You can't make me."

"I can't," Tyle quips, "but people are too engrossed in themselves to notice you, Ne. Besides, you gotta learn to conquer your insecurities, and this is a great place to start."

The brunette flicks her gaze over at Tyle again, jumping when he rests a hand on her shoulder. She looks at him underneath her bangs, seeing a stupidly sincere look on his countenance. He squeezes the muscle reassuringly, his free hand reaching up and resting against her brown tresses. He musses them, dare she say it, affectionately, and the pink on Neko's cheeks darken. "You can't charm your way into this way, Ty."

"Not trying to, sweetheart," the green eyed boy replies. "I'm trying to comfort you. You're all tense."

Neko blinks a few times. Tense? She notices her muscles are tight, making her sigh. Tyle knows her so well, even better than she knows herself at times. She bows her head, staring at the cement, and her friend makes a noise of concern. "I hate being so self conscious. You're right, everyone is too busy and enthralled with themselves to notice. But... I can't shake the feeling they'd be staring at me."

"If they do, I'll give them my famous "back off" glare. That'll teach 'em!" Tyle promises, faint laughter slipping from his lips. His fingers go under Neko's chin, lifting her face up, and he gives her a comforting smile. "I know this is hard for you. But that's what I'm here for."

Feeling strangely reassured and confident at Tyle's words, Neko nods and starts to walking towards the dancing crowd. "You'll glare at them if they look at me?"

"You know it, hun," Tyle reassures, walking towards her and taking her hand.

And so, they dance. And Neko was too focused on Tyle to notice if anyone stared.

Maybe Edge was onto something when he said they would make a good couple...
