The fate of the Boos as a species originally looked a bit different from how it is now, all thanks to an ancient who just couldn't keep their fingers away.

A long time ago, shortly after the council formed there existed a group of beings called "the ancients".
These ancients were some of the most powerful beings in existence next to the Council itself, able of wielding powers of creating life or even destroy it by a simple thought alone.
With everything at their fingertips however and no divine guidance on their mind unlike the Council they grew rather bored and unsatisfied.
One by one they grew mad with power and were taken down just as quick by heroes destined by fate.

After witnessing their friends die one by one or being sealed away, one of the ancients decide to take a much more tame approach to keep themselves entertained.
And so the Lady, who was mostly associated with Boos by her appearance, took one timeline and made the Ghosts her own creation by forming the fate of the Royal Boo Family.
The rest is history.
