Fetch's Quest

Hiii! Migaras Fetch! That is your name, right? Gosh, I've been meeting so many new people lately, it's tough to keep track...

...I'm getting off topic, whoops. Anyway! I'm back, and I got the stuff you asked for! Just give me a minute to remember which pocket of my bag I put them in.

You know, I really think you could be selling this job offer better. Well, I guess it's not any of my business, but... just speaking personally, you almost scared me off doing it entirely! You made such a big deal about that forest being Elalykin territory. I've never seen an Elalyk before, but I know they're scary monsters, even for big old rrex. Hey, like you! And as for me... whew. I bet one could eat me in a single gulp if it wanted to.

Anyway, the point is your spiel made me so terrified I was going to die out there. For the first hour I was just jumping at every noise and movement. But I was out there for an entire day, and I didn't see so much as a single antler. You're not supposed to make loud noises in Elalykin territory 'cuz it attracts them, right? Well, I lost my footing and rolled all the way down a hill at one point and still didn't see heads or tails of one. I think if you didn't oversell the danger so much, a lot more people would be lining up to fetch plants for you.

Ah, there it is. Big bundle of fractalroots, just like you asked. Quick question - are they supposed to, um, writhe like that? They weren't doing that when I pulled them out of the ground, but afterwards... let's just say I learned the hard way to keep them in a separate pocket from all my equipment, haha. I must've spent nearly as much time detangling them from my stuff as I did picking them. I hope I didn't mess up somehow - did I? If they're no good, I can go out again and -

What?

Oh, jeez, look at that. There's a bit of a line forming behind me, huh? Sorry, sorry, I tend to ramble on sometimes. I'm working on it. Here you go. One last thing - thanks so much for the opportunity! I feel like I've gotten a lot more experience under my belt. I hope I can work with you again someday.

See you around!
