Relationships

Shipped with Red Son (Sweet n’ Spicy) - Fang and Red Son knew each other at a young age, and grew up together, becoming very close to the point that eventually the two were able to convince their parents to allow them to mark one another for their future marriage, once they were grown enough.

The death of Fang hit Red Son harshly, leaving him to never make an attempt to find any other. And once his father was imprisoned under a mountain, it only further turned his soul into a bitter thing.

Still, he was persistent to find Fang again, one way or another. And made an attempt by using a little trick with one of the few things that were left with him. A little doll named Minikong, Fang’s childhood toy. It was crafted by the Macaque, and enchanted by the Monkey King. With a bit of magic to fuel its enchantments, the doll could come to life to play. One of its favorite games being hide and seek. It would always find Fang, Red Son considered it being due to it being attuned to her magic. And every hundred years he would make an attempt to use it to try and find her.

It isn’t until the Modern day comes around of the show, does it actually work, and he is able to track down Fang’s reincarnation.

Shipped with MK (Unknown) - They would have a more ‘young aspiring love’ sort of relationship, where Zhi is probably the first to initiate having a crush on MK, and MK eventually finding out due to him helping her hone her powers more and noting the mood of her flowers.

Haven’t got much else about it yet, but I think it would be a very fluffy ship.

MK: Can include the HiT AU Where MK was born a human on FFM, Wukong left him at Pigsy's, but kept an eye on him. And when MK started to show monkey powers, Wukong stepped in and offered to train him to be his successor. Leaving MK to hone a secret identity of sorts, and take a much more slower path on becoming a successor.

Monkey King: Monkey King’s relationship with Zhi can be summed up a bit rocky. Given her fear of demons, it’s pretty awkward at the start, and due to his lack of a proper living setup, it leaves Zhi not quite wanting to live with him.

This isn’t even mentioning how much he desires to spend time with her, wanting to get to know her, and make new memories with her. His extroverted-ness not quite coming off as charming to her introverted-ness.

Even so, Zhi does eventually come around to seeing him sort of as a parental figure, not quite ‘dad material’ though.

Macaque: So Mac for the better part of this AU was the father of Fang, and he totally blamed Wukong for her death as well as the loss of FFM and everything else. His fur used to be so white, but he was burned terribly to the point it's all black now.

He didn't quite die in the fire either, I think maybe he did try to stick around the mountain, recover what was lost with the survivor’s. But he was so hollow with nothing but rage that he couldn't stand to just let Wukong walk freely when he caught word of him helping escort a monk.

None of it made sense, and despite the other’s calling out to him, he left in a rush to seek out Wukong. Finding him, where by then he'd calmed down enough to see some sense, and saw that the other was being controlled by a cursed circlet. He considered that he was simply a prisoner doing the bidding of the Heaven's, and that by slaughtering the monk he would be able to free them.

This, of course, did not go well. For as soon as he tried to attack, Wukong fought him back, and upon briefly elaborating that he was here to protect the monk and serve his sentence, Mac felt rage at the fact that he hadn’t even bothered to try and contact them.

So they continued to fight, getting to the point where Wukong literally had to beat the shit out of him to the point Mac couldn’t anymore. Mac fled with what little magic he had, but he could barely do much at that point but lay and make an attempt to recover. LBD found him at that point, snuffed his life out and stole it for herself. Only to eventually give it back once she’d been imprisoned. But Wukong felt his death, his magic was ingrained into them after all.

So everyone thinks he’s dead.

Wukong, having lost so much, when he finally gets sent away by the monk, he returns to FFM, if not to make an effort to recover what was lost. The other monkies are there, they’ve tried to move on, he, however, has not. He doesn’t hate them for it, they’re quite literally all he has left…

But he fears if they stay, he will lose them. Whether that be to the Heaven’s finding him not serving his sentence or otherwise. So he banishes them. Before taking what was left of FFM and moving it to the middle of the ocean, where he crafted a ring of fire around it to keep it safe and hidden forevermore.

Mac has been doing his own thing for a long time now, his death having severed the bonding mark between him and Wukong, leaving him free from all but the LBD and the faint grudgeful hold she had on his soul. Still, he stays on the move, keeps his circle small, all as a means to survive. He doesn’t thrive in life as much as he used to, there’s a lot he has to do that he doesn’t like to, but someone has to do it, and if they pay well enough, he doesn’t complain.

But then Mac feels the pull of something he hadn’t been able to place, something so deeply ingrained into his soul that it shook him to the core. Forcing him to abandon his own plans in an effort to seek out what it is.

Going to Megapolis, he finds MK, and worse yet, he finds the other wielding Wukong’s staff.
