Djubetos MYO Guide

djubetos 101: the basics

image0.png

welcome!

congratulations on securing your very own standard or mutated make-your-own (MYO) slot! now we can dive into the process of designing your funky lizard and bringing them to life!

if you don’t have your MYO quite yet, you can either buy one at the shop OR if you’re a first time owner, you can obtain one free standard MYO via completing the newbie missions!

what is a djubetos?

djubetos are bipedal, silicon-based lifeforms that came from deep space. they are able to travel by splitting atoms within their tails - this leaves them constantly on the verge of starving, and hence, one of the biggest threats in the universe. while aggressive, they are occasionally admitted into human society due to their strength and intelligence.

the typical djubetos sports a tail filled with nuclear gel, colored limbs, a set of crystalline horns, and a bad attitude. their DNA is highly unstable, allowing for almost any mutation one can imagine.

to learn more in-depth biological (+ more) information about djubetos, visit the database page!

what is a standard myo?

a standard MYO is just your average MYO slot! standard djubetos can pull from the pool of basic traits, but cannot gain mutations unless you use a mutagen on them. Mutagens allow for one mutated trait per mutagen added.

what is a mutated myo?

a mutated MYO is a step up from the standard slot! they can have everything a standard djubetos does, but with the lovely addition of being able to apply an unlimited amount of mutations freely without needing a mutagen.

what is a mutagen??

a mutagen is a single-use item that allows you to apply a single mutation to your djubetos! these are different from other items in that you can use this to apply ANY mutation, not just ones that have been discovered. if you need help with figuring out mutations, feel free to contact one of the admins, @RAPTOR-01 or Twilightmyst, in the Discord or via DM/private message on TH!

how do I obtain a MYO slot?

djubetos are part of a closed species, so you cannot make your own without a MYO slot!

this species' information is accessible in this toyhouse world and on the species discord. joining the discord is mandatory, and so is having a toyhou.se account, as the masterlist will link to the character's toyhouse profile. these profiles MUST stay visible for documentation reasonings!

all first time owners can get a free standard myo slot through completing the three newbie missions listed in the linked post!

more standard and mutated MYO slots are both fairly easy to get otherwise, as they can be purchased for USD or group currency in the black market, traded for, won in raffles and contests, and even occasionally gifted or exchanged in return for services in the group (aka coding and idea help, etc). completing missions to earn group currency to spend in the black market is the easiest way to obtain a djubetos MYO for free!

people who own djubetos characters and MYO slots may also be willing to trade with you! the best way to get fully designed djubetos though is to obtain adopts. adopts will be released by staff and guest artists periodically, and sometimes will even be raffled off. depending on what types of offers they're accepting, you could nab a character for cash, art, character trades, cat pics... whatever.

@iShibanu will do their best to keep their creations balanced between raffles/contests, FTO sales, and FFA sales! Most of their adopts will be posted to both the discord and the toyhouse tradeboards, so keep an eye on both!

how do I submit my myo?

1. check to be sure your MYO slot is properly submitted to the masterlist and note the ID number. if it is not there, then please message @RAPTOR-01 / ikaXinu on TH or discord. the slot itself will either be a character profile made by you, or be a character profile transferred to you from the species owner or original slot owner. the masterlist should simply state the MYO ID, your username, and how it was obtained / the worth.

2. if you've already created your djubetos, time to move to the discord! find the #approvals channel under the 'moderation' category and fill out the form in the pinned posts under 'djubetos myo approvals' form thread.

3. and now we play the waiting game! typically we will not take more than a week or so to get to your submissions, so feel free to give us a little poke if it's been over a week since you posted!

4. once approved, the masterlist will be updated with the new image. please be sure to update the character's profile on your own TH as well. if not approved, you may be asked to change specific things. once fixed, your character will be perfect and ready to go!

5. congrats, you now have your very own alien lizard piranha!

the masterlist

we currently utilize neocities + charadex for the masterlist! you can visit the site from the front page to access the sites the masterlist is hosted on. typically we keep things as up to date as possible, but we still have to manually keep track of things so it's highly appreciated if you comment, DM a mod, or join our discord to report any changes you need to make.

if you're making changes to the masterlist such as a design change, exchanging ownership, submitting a design to a MYO slot, or anything else, please message @RAPTOR-01 / ikaXinu on toyhouse or discord!

for the sake of the masterlist, please don't delete/remake the character's toyhouse profile or trade it to someone who does not have a toyhouse account without contacting an admin first! if the masterlist link is no longer able to link us to the character profile, we cannot see the ownership history and therefore would be forced to void the character. if you must remake the profile, or would like to void your character from the species entirely, please message us first so that we can help with that.

myo guide

myo creation

now that we’ve gotten the basics out of the way, you’ll need to know a couple things about basic djubetos anatomy. please remember that these pointers are mostly general guidelines for the species itself + guidelines the standard MYOs must follow - mutated MYOs have more freedom in terms of traits!

please consult the third tab on this guide, 'mutations', if you're looking for the mutations guide!

djubetos anatomy

these are pointers in text form for basic djubetos anatomy! if you have any questions, please visit the #questions channel on our discord or feel free to dm a mod!

⋟ | Djubetos are bipedal and digitigrade, and have long prehensile tails.

⋟ | They can have either pawed feet, more lizard-like clawed feet, or human feet. Same goes for their arms, which can be thick, human-like, or tentacled! They can switch between any of these traits freely at will due to them having fluid muscle tissue instead of true bones in those areas.

⋟ | All Djubetos, with the exception of some mutated individuals, have a single, unique set of horns that either grow in crystalline formations or can appear as any type of horn found in nature. They share the same patterns as their accents and allow the Djubetos to communicate with other Djubetos. Mutated Djubetos have the capability of having only one horn, or even no horns at all.

⋟ | Some Djubetos have a set of pointy ears, or don’t have an external set of ears at all.

⋟ | All Djubetos have an accent color (up to 3 on a standard myo) that appears on their arms, legs, horns, around the eyes, and tail. They can appear as markings anywhere on the body, but *must* be present in the locations shown within example images. Pure white and black (as long as its light enough to distinguish the lineart) can also be used in addition to the other accent colors.

⋟ | Djubetos tails can come in a range of bone structures - full cage, half cage, internal, and smooth (no bones showing). If you do full or half cage, the bones can optionally extend up the spine as well!

⋟ | Djubetos, by default, can have fangs (visible or not), claws (retractable or not) and pawpads on both hands and feet.

⋟ | Since Djubetos are oviparous (aka egg-laying) creatures, they do not naturally have breast tissue, but still do have their underlying pectorals.
