Rulebook
You must read and understand our rules and guidelines. By entering the Theristis community, you agree to our rules, and we will give out warnings and bans if you break them.
We want to create a community where you can feel safe and understood! Please be kind.
General Theristis Rules
- When purchasing or creating a Theristis, we assume you have read and agreed to our Terms of Service (TOS). Failure to comply with these TOS will result in a Strike or Blacklist, depending on the offense.
- Theristis are a closed species by mika-tama.
- They must be credited when uploading a Theristis design.
- You can obtain a Theristis through Official Adopt designs and Myo slots/designs. You can not create a Theristis besides these methods.
- Co-ownership is allowed with a max of 2 people.
- Both owners must confirm the owner-transfer if trading/gifting/vouchering/reselling a Design or Slot.
- You must first receive a Regulator’s permission before being listed as a co-owner.
- Reposting the adoptable art is only allowed on Toyhou.se. You can also request to link the TH profile with the Masterlist.
- Posting a Myo Design anywhere is only allowed after it is approved.
- Always watermark the work to protect the original artwork and your property.
- It is not allowed to use a Theristis for commercial usage.
- You can pay a fee to gain the rights.
- The regulators have the right to screenshot conversations for documentation purposes.
Payment
- You must be able to pay within 48 hours! Do not bid, claim, offer if you can not afford it.
- You can request payment plans for adoptables over 100€/$ 120
- If the payment is not fully completed in the agreed-upon timeframe, the artist may not refund the downpayment, and the adoptable will be put up for sale/auction again. Please bid responsibly.
- We don’t allow backing out of bids, claims, offers. If you still back out, it will result in a Strike.
- Once you complete the payment, you will receive the final files, and it becomes your character or Slot.
Owner Transfers
- If you are Trading/Gifting/Reselling a character or Myo Slot, you have to reply to the comment in the Black Market with the following form:
New Owner:
Obtained from: [Resell (include resell cost), Trading, Voucher (include voucher's worth), Gifting]
- The trade has to be confirmed by the new Owner and the Regulator Team.
- Members can not be given Theristis design to blacklisted users. This action will result in a Warning.
- Theristis Designs and Myo Slots have a 1-month cooldown period after an ownership transfer. You can not trade/gift or resell the Design or Slot in this period.
Trading / Gifting
- If you obtain the Design or Slot from trading or gifting, you can only trade the design for another design, artwork, or gift to someone else.
- The Design or Slot will have no resale value when trading or gifting. You can't resell them.
Vouchering
- You are only allowed to the voucher if you purchased the Design or Slot for money.
- Once vouchered, the design will be considered traded and cannot be resold or vouchered again.
Reselling
- You can resell the adoptable only for the original price. If you have purchased any extra commissioned artwork, you can add them to the adoptable's worth, but please note that personal artwork does not add to the price.
- You can trade the adoptable or gift it to a friend. But once gifted or traded, it loses all monetary value and cannot be resold. It will follow the trading rules or gifting rules depending on how the Design or Slot was transferred from here forth.
Retiring
Maybe you want to leave the community or are asked to leave it (blacklist). If that is the case, you can/have to remove the Traits of your Theristis.
- We do not claim the individual traits, but we do not want the design to resemble a Theristis anymore. So please remove all traits and backstories that follow the Theritis lore.
- It includes:
- any soul fire (ears, tail, uncontrolled)
- ability to show their animal skull with soul fire
- weapon(s) to collect souls
- soul-vessels
- Current Theristis artwork posted to Toyhou.se must be deleted or put onto a separate "Do Not Use" tab.
- You have to contact the Regulator team to work with you to ensure your removal from the species is adequately mediated.
- Retired Theristis need to be approved as well!
Minor Safety
Theristis doesn't allow content perpetuating minors' abuse, harm, endangerment, or exploitation. A minor is defined as someone under the legal age of majority - usually anyone younger than 18 years old in most countries/regions.
Any content, including animation, digitally created, or manipulated media, that depicts abuse, exploitation, or nudity of minors is a violation and will be removed when detected.
We have NSFW +18 channels in which other rules apply.
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Nick-/usernames that contain offensive or non-PG-13 language and words
- Content that depicts solicits glorifies or encourages child abuse imagery, including nudity, sexualized minors, or sexual activity with minors
- Content that shows sexual arousal or sexual stimulation
- Content that depicts a sexual fetish
- Content that depicts exposed human genitalia, female nipples or areola, pubic regions, or buttocks
- Clips extracted from non-pornographic films, shows, or other content to isolate sexual content (real-world or artistic)
- Sexualized comments, emojis, text, or other graphics used to veil or imply nudity or sexual activity
- Content that suggests depicts, imitates, or promotes the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, or drugs
- Content that depicts or promotes physical abuse, neglect, endangerment, or psychological disparagement
- Content that involves current news that depicts violence, guns, racism, etc.
Adult nudity and sexual content
We strive to create a platform that feels welcoming and safe. We do not allow nudity or sexually explicit content outside our +18 channels. We also prohibit content depicting or supporting non-consensual sexual acts, sharing non-consensual intimate imagery, and adult sexual solicitation.
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Content that depicts exposed non-drawn human genitalia, female nipples or areola, pubic regions, or buttocks
- Content that depicts real-world pornographic or gore content (such as sex scenes, nudes, blood, and injuries)
- Content that depicts Violent, graphic, or humiliating fetish content where the purpose is sexual gratification
- Content that depicts Non-consensual sex acts or unwanted sexualization
- Any sexual content involving minors
Suicide, Self-Harm, and Dangerous Acts
We care deeply about the health and well-being of the individuals that make up our community. Awareness and understanding of mental health are critical. We support creators sharing their stories, such as posting content discussing their experiences with depression, self-harm, or other mental health issues
However, We do not allow content depicting, promoting, normalizing, or glorifying activities that could lead to suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. We also do not permit users to share content depicting them partaking in or encouraging others to participate in dangerous activities that may lead to severe injury or death.
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Content that provides instructions for suicide or on how to engage in self-harm or eating disorders
- Content that depicts promotes, normalizes, or glorifies suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders
- Suicide, Self-harm or eating disorder games, dares, pacts, or hoaxes
- Content that depicts promotes, normalizes, or glorifies eating disorders or other dangerous weight loss behaviors associated with eating disorders
- Content that shows the potentially inappropriate use of dangerous tools, vehicles, or objects
- Content that depicts or promotes ingesting substances that are not meant for consumption or could lead to severe harm
Hateful Behavior / Violent extremism
Theristis is a diverse and inclusive community that has no tolerance for discrimination. We do not permit content that contains hate speech or involves hateful behavior, and we remove it from our platform. We suspend or ban members that engage in hate speech violations.
We define hate speech or behavior as content that attacks, threatens, incites violence against, or otherwise dehumanizes an individual or a group based on the following protected attributes:
Race, Ethnicity, National origin, Religion, Caste, Sexual orientation, Sex, Gender, Gender identity, Serious disease, Disability, Immigration status
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Hateful content related to an individual or group, including:
- claiming that they are physically, mentally, or morally inferior
- calling for or justifying violence against them
- claiming that they are criminals
- referring to them as animals, inanimate objects, or other non-human entities
- promoting or justifying exclusion, segregation, or discrimination against them
- Content that depicts harm inflicted upon an individual or a group based on a protected attribute
- Content that uses or includes slurs
- Content that contains names, symbols, logos, flags, slogans, uniforms, gestures, salutes, illustrations, portraits, songs, music, lyrics, or other objects related to a hateful ideology
We do not allow people to use our platform to threaten or incite violence or promote dangerous individuals or organizations.
Do not post, upload, stream, or share:
- Statements of intent to inflict physical injuries on an individual or a group
- Statements or imagery that encourage others to commit or that advocate for physical violence
- Conditional or aspirational statements that encourage other people to commit violence
- Calls to bring weapons to a location with the intent to intimidate or threaten an individual or group with violence
- Instructions on how to make or use weapons to incite violence
Violent and graphic content
We do not allow content that is gratuitously shocking, graphic, sadistic, or gruesome or that promotes, normalizes, or glorifies extreme violence or suffering on our platform
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Content of humans that depicts:
- violent or graphic deaths or accidents
- dismembered, mutilated, charred, or burned human remains
- gore in which an open wound or injury is the core focus
- real-world physical violence, fighting, or torture
- Content of animals that depicts:
- violent or graphic deaths or accidents
- the slaughter or other non-natural death of animals
- dismembered, mutilated, charred, or burned animal remains
- animal cruelty and gore
Harassment and cyberbullying
We do not allow content that threatens members of the Theristis community. If you find content that violates this policy, report it even if it is happening in dm’s when it involves two members of the community (the harassed/bullied person and the Harasser/Bully).
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Content that features prolonged name-calling or malicious insults (such as racial slurs) of any sort
- Content uploaded with the intent to shame, deceive or insult a member
- Repeatedly encourages abusive audience behaviors
- Repeatedly targets, insults, and abuses an identifiable individual based on their intrinsic attributes across several posts
- Repeatedly messaging a member even after being asked not to
Spam and Scams
Theristis doesn’t allow spam, scams, or other deceptive practices that take advantage of the Theristis community. We also don’t allow content where the primary purpose is to trick others into leaving Theristis.
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Chat Spam: Do not spam any channels with topics that violate our guidelines.
- Suspicious Links: Do not share links to pornography, sites containing Child Sexual Abuse Imagery, or similar sites, that violate our guidelines.
- Live Stream Abuse: Live streams are intended to stream content that belongs to somebody else without the okay from the moderation team.
- Scams: Content offering cash gifts, “get rich quick” schemes, or pyramid schemes (sending money without a tangible product in a pyramid structure).
- Video Spam: Content that is excessively posted, repetitive, or untargeted and does one or more of the following:
- It promises viewers they'll see something but instead directs them off-site.
- Sends audiences to sites that spread malware, try to gather personal information, or other sites that have a negative impact.
- Sites that depicts violation of our community guidelines (sexual, violent, and hateful content)
Personal Information
We don’t allow content that reveals personal or sensitive information. We want to keep our community safe.
Do not use, post, upload, stream, or share:
- Personal ID and passport information
- Private contact information and addresses
- Online login information (usernames and passwords)
- Photos of private people that they don’t want to be posted online
- Personal financial or medical history
General Rules
- The Code of Conduct and Terms of Service contains the rules of behaving in the Theristis Community. If your behavior or content violates your Community Guidelines, you will receive a warning or strike. The Regulator Team will remove the content.
- If you are a GA of the species, you can also receive a warning or strike if you miss deadlines.
You will also receive a warning or strike if you violate the discord server rules:
- This is a PG-13 channel! So you must be at least 13 and keep the conversations safe for minors!
- Please read each channel’s topic and check its pinned messages for their specific rules or guidelines before posting in them! If the channel uses a form, you have to use it.
- By being on the server you agree to the Theristis CoC and TOS.
- Please don't advertise outside the advertising channels!
- Be polite and respectful towards others! Sexism/racism/homophobia / any kind of hate speech will NOT be tolerated and result in a warning or ban.
- This is a friendly group and a no-drama zone! Please take it to DMs. If you have trouble, please only dm the Regulator team if it is CS or server-related!
- Our server is SFW. No NSFW outside our NSFW channel! This includes NSFW images, as well as an in-depth discussion of NSFW topics.
- To be added to the NSFW channel, post in the questions channel, include your age, or ask DM a regulator!
- This isn’t a requirement, but it’d be appreciated if people would include their dA username in their nickname so we can ping them for raffle wins or find them faster on our sheets!
- If you use another nickname, please do not include any words that are not PG-13.
What to do if you get a warning or strike
We want you to stay in our community! So if the regulators notify you because of a violation, you can do the following:
- Learn more about our Guidelines and read through the Code of Conduct and Terms of Service.
- If you think we made a mistake or misunderstood something, let us know! You can dm a regulator.
If you try to use another account to access the Theristis sides while on temporary/permanent ban and learn to know it, the account will be banned immediately. If you are not already on our blacklist, you will be put on it immediately as well.
If a warning or strike is issued, we'll let you know by dm. We'll tell you:
- What content was removed
- Which policies it violated (ex. harassment or violence)
- How it affects you
- What you can do next
Warning
We know that mistakes can happen and that you don’t mean to violate our policies; this is why the first violation is only a warning.
- You will be put into our Strike system.
- The next time your behavior or content violates our Guidelines, you will get a strike.
- Sometimes a single case of severe abuse will result in being blacklisted.
First Strike
If we find that your content doesn't follow our policies for a second time, you'll get a strike.
- It will result in a temporary ban.
- This means that you will be unable to do the following for 1 week:
- Posting on the discord server, DeviantArt page, and Toyhou.se world
- You can't participate in events during this time.
- You can't obtain any Theritis Designs or Myo Slots.
➢ Official Adoptables, Myo Sales, or Owner Transfers in any shape or form.
- The Regulator team will restore full privileges after the 1-week period.
- The Strike will not expire until 6 months from the time that it was issued.
Second Strike Strike
If you get a second strike within the same 6-month period as your first strike, you can not post any content for 2 weeks.
- If there are no further issues, full privileges will be restored after the 2 weeks.
Third Strike
- Three strikes within the same 6-months period will result in a permanent ban from the Theristis community.
General Rules
By working with Theristis, you agree to Code of Conduct and Terms of Service.
- You must be 16 years or older to apply as a Guest Artist.
- You have to join the Discord Server and join the TH world.
- When creating a Theristis adoptable, you have to follow the general and GA TOS.
- You are not allowed to sell adoptables to blacklisted users.
- You need to notify Mika or the Regulator Team if your adoptable is sold. We will update the Masterlist.
- You need to have Paypal.
- It is your job to ensure that the adoptable fee is sent to Mika via Paypal and with Euro €.

- You have to send sketches and traits into the discord channel for the Regulator Team to check on.
- Please use our template when uploading non-event adoptables.
- Special or cross-breed traits are not permitted for non-event adoptables. For event adoptables, the rarity will be given to you. You can’t choose one.
- Not meeting deadlines (both for WIP’s and final design) will result in a warning. Please tell Mika or the Regulator Team at least 3 weeks before if you are unable to participate anymore! You know the schedule, please try to manage it. The first strike (after 2 missed deadlines) will result in a fee raise of 5% (10% in total). With the second strike (after 2 more missed deadlines), you are not able to be part of the artist team anymore.
- You must include the 4 basic traits and a weapon: Soul fire, Animal Skull, Animal features, and the tail with soul-vessel.

Ferrymen
- This role is given to official designers of the species and will stay for 6 months.
- Ferrymen must create at least 2 designs for sale.
- They can participate in Event batches or create one-off adoptables.
- The Adoptable fee for Ferrymen is 5% of the selling price!
- Ferrymen can also put up adoptables for OTA, DTA, or Raffle.
- Ferrymen are allowed to use Regular and Vari traits, but no special traits outside of events! For events, each participant will get a Slot rarity assigned.
- Ferrymen will be randomly rewarded with Death Shop items.
- They can keep their Therisitis adoptable if it has not been sold after two months.
- Ferrymen will get a 10% discount on Death Shop items.
Creative Souls
This role is given to one-off designers.
- They create one design and are finished!
- If you want more than one design but stay less than 6 months, we can discuss a specific amount of designs.
- They can ask to participate in an Event batch or create a one-off adoptable.
- The Adoptable fee for Creative Souls is 10% of the selling price!
- Creative Souls are not allowed to put up adoptables for OTA, DTA, or Raffle.
- Creative Souls are allowed to use Regular and Vari traits, but no special traits outside of events!
- There are no additional perks.
