what is a linked eingel?
when an eingel comes of age it gets linked to a newborn living being, this is referred to as a link partnership
for the rest of its days it will receive every memory, every thought, every bit of pain. it will remember everything for you
once linked, the eingel will sprout wings and characteristics to resemble it's link partner such as scars, birthmarks and animal characteristics such as animal ears, fins and spikes [if the link partner is an anthro/feral/kemonomimi]
but why wings? an eingel needs it's wings in order to move through the air, otherwise it would start floating helplessly towards space
an unlinked eingel is unable to visit our world so it has no use for wings

if you're unfortunate as to die as unexpected, your linked eingel may be commanded to take over your body
referred to as possession, the eingel will merge with your corpse. the outside being you and the inside being the eingel
once this merge happens, an eingel is stuck being you for the rest of its life
fortunately, a possessed eingel is able to invert itself if it chooses to do so. referred to as flipping, It will flip itself inside out so you're on the inside and the eingel is exposed
a possessed eingel doesn't have to live out your life, it merely has to make sure your presence is still in our world. If it so chooses to it can go and do whatever it wants in our world.
eingels are only able to possess corpses that have not yet been seen by any living beings. due to this, it's more often the case that those who die in freak accidents or all alone are the ones who get possessed
