Vallis Deorum
Vallis Deorum is a fantasy world created by Zeradox, which is home to two semi-closed species known as the Lucem Dantes and the Messores. You may not make one without a MYO slot.

Vallis Deorum is a Kemonomimi based realm governed by two deities; Lux, the god of light, and Tenebris, the god of darkness. After millennia of warring, the two deities created the two main species of this realm to fight their battle for them; Lux created the star-born Lucem Dantes, and Tenebris the void-bound Messores. For millennia these two have warred, ceaseless strife between light and dark... Will you heed the call to arms?

History
Long ago at the dawn of Vallis Deorum, two deities of perfect contrast ruled over the lands; Lux, the god of light, and Tenebris, the god of darkness. Together, they maintained order and harmony for millennia. As time passed, the delicate balance fractured. Unrest stirred between the two before harmony inevitably shattered. Conflict turned to hostility, and hostility turned to war. Being matched in power, however, neither could best the other.
With no discernible end in sight, they decided to create their own species to fight their battles for them. Lux created the Lucem Dantes, while Tenebris created the Messores. After many bloody centuries, the land had been split into thirds, with neither species gaining the high ground. To this day, tensions remain high, despite the reasoning behind their war being lost to time.
The Lucem Dantes and the Messores
The Lucem Dantes are beings of light and are known for their elegant wings as well as halos with stars at the center. They are a community oriented species, placing great importance on cooperation and family.
The Messores are beings of darkness and are known for their extra limbs and imposing horns with black holes between them. They are a more individualistic species, placing great importance on self reliance and independence.
Other Species
The world of Vallis Deorum is also home to various kemono beings who have existed within the realm long before the arrival of the Lucem Dantes and the Messores. In most cases, they live contentedly alongside the two rival species. However, not all kemonos are as hospitable to them; some remaining hostile in response to generations of turmoil across the lands. In modern day, the distaste for the Lucem Dantes and Messores has died down, being nowhere near as pronounced as it once was in ancient times.
Disguised Forms & Lifespan
The Lucem Dantes and the Messores were blessed by their patrons with the ability to disguise themselves, to more easily acclimate to life amongst the kemonos. This means of blending in was much more necessary long ago, when tensions were at their highest. It is still often utilized to this day; depending on the location, it may be more or less expected of them to remain in a disguised state.
Both the Lucem Dantes and the Messores live much longer than the average kemono, averaging 300-400 years of age, though some can live up to 500 years. When a Lucem Dantes or a Messores is nearing the end of their life, their star or black hole will begin to fade. Upon passing, the star of a Lucem Dantes will be extinguished, while the black hole of a Messores will collapse in on itself. The body will disintegrate into stardust not long after passing, leaving only the halos or horns behind. It is common practice for family or loved ones to keep the halos or horns of their dearly departed.

- Vallis Deorum is a semi-closed species realm, meaning you cannot make your own character unless you possess a MYO slot. FTO (first-time owner) slots may be obtained through our FTO Center bulletin.
- Be respectful to other members and staff.
- Please only submit approved characters to the world.
- Vallis Deorum is a lore-heavy species realm. While it is not mandatory to fully follow the lore of the species, it is recommended. Choosing to heavily disregard core lore aspects may restrict characters from participating in lore-based events.
- Although it is not mandatory, joining the Discord is highly recommended! A large portion of the species information can be found there. We also host a number of Discord exclusive raffles and events.
- Always credit the artist/designer of a Lucem Dantes or Messores properly. This includes any bases used in references and personal artworks.
- Do not copy, steal, or wrongfully use any Lucem Dantes or Messores designs. Referencing is only allowed if given explicit permission by the owner of the design.
- Lucem Dantes/Messores designs or MYO slots can only be sold for no more than their original price + additional art value. Designs or MYO slots received for free cannot be sold for real currency unless additional art is added on.
- Staff members have lives outside of the species, so please be patient with us! If a staff member doesn't respond within 48 hours, please feel free to DM Zeradox to check in.
