Space Carp
A catchall term coined by humanity and adopted widely, space carp are spacefaring organisms which often resemble aquatic lifeforms. Commonly regarded as vermin due to certain species' nasty habits of scraping their beaks on the hulls of artificial structures or even predation on spacefaring sapients. Most, though not all, species are bioluminescent and achieve locomotion through gas propulsion.
