★ WHAT ARE POCKET PALS? ★

Pocket pals are humanoid (though not exclusively) little friends that reside in Pocket Pal pods! They are similar to Tamagotchi, being handheld digital pets! They typically have their Pocket Pal pods around their neck on a collar!

• Each pal has their own bubbled home within their pod, and can travel to other pals' bubbles! This can be something simple like where they live, where they work, or a location they like!
• Pals are highly-adaptive AI that learn from their owners or other pals they may know!
• Pals can come in two variants;
  • Prototypes: Are the same as the day they were manufactured.
  • Corrupted: Have gotten damaged in one way or another, and half of their body is corrupted/covered in shadow!
• This is a closed species, but we keep the barrier to entry low for new members!
  • This world serves as our masterlist!

★ HOW DO I GET INVOLVED? ★

Pocket Pals can be obtained in a lot of ways, which is broken down below!

Make-Your-Own (MYO): These are Pocket Pal slots that can be obtained through our Ko-Fi store, bytes (our group currency), or our monthly MYO offerings held in the Discord!

• First-time owners (FTOS) get a discounted common byte MYO.

Adoptables: Staff and guest artists regularly post adoptables in our Discord server, these vary from USD bids, byte bids, offer to adopts, or even draw to adopts!

Raffles: From time to time, we raffle MYO slots for the community or even raffle off designs for free!

Byte / USD gacha: Around the end of every month, we host two separate gachas for server members to get a chance at a handful of adopts!

• USD gacha: Entry is always $25, and first-come first-served.
• Byte gacha: Entry is 500 bytes, and is NOT first-come first-served. These are raffled, and the previous month's winners cannot win again!

★ WHAT ARE BYTES? ★

Bytes are our group currency () which lets our little pal world go 'round! 

Bytes can be obtained by:

• Submitting Pal Pieces in our Byte Hub! You can submit one piece of writing or artwork a month!
• Completing monthly prompts! These are typically topics we give users to draw or write about!
• As a Discord server booster, you can collect role income once a week!
• The !work command in our work channel.
• Offering byte commissions or other advertisements in our community for other users!

• Common MYOs are 800
  • The FTO discount for a common byte MYO is 500
• Uncommon MYOs are 1200
• We have various trait items in our shop that range from 150 to 300
• The VI-Pal pass is available for free to server boosters, or can be purchased for 300
  • The VI-Pal pass allows access to a VIP-only channel, special raffles, staff works in progress, and even flatsale adopts!

★ COMMUNITY ★

We offer as many opportunities as possible for people to get involved in our community and the species, and we love to see everyone's creativity!

Guest artist applications:

• We open guest artist applications once a month, where the community can submit their design portfolios at a chance to make designs for our species!
  • When your guest artist application is chosen, you are a guest artist for that month.
  • Guest artists can make 4 adopts a month, and they can be any kind of bid, raffle, or otherwise!
  • Guest artists can participate in our USD gachas, but must submit one design to the byte gacha.
• While being a guest artist, communicating with your fellow artists is really important! You will be provided a monthly schedule you can fill out to claim days to post on.

• This section of our server hosts a Pal of the Week, every week! The pal featured is randomly chosen and drawing them will reward you bytes!
