★ POCKET PAL TERMS OF SERVICE ★

Pocket Pals is a humanoid/anthro closed species created by xtcherub and Malboroz . This TOS is to list rules for the species and our community. If you do not agree to any of the terms, please refrain from purchasing or obtaining a Pocket Pal/MYO or interacting with the species in general.

This species is a Toyhouse and Discord centered species and most of our events and information are announced in the Discord server.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment on the species official Toyhouse account or the server’s QNA channel. You can also create a ticket in the Discord server for private inquiries or reports. Do check the FAQ to see if your question has been answered there as well! Please ensure that your questions are answered by staff for reliable answers and to avoid any potential scams!

Users who are caught breaking any of these rules will be warned or possibly banned.

★ GENERAL RULES ★

This species is open for anyone to join. So please keep public content PG-13. Refrain from distributing NSFW content, that includes art, imagery, sexual talk, etc. in our spaces.

The species masterlist requires a Toyhouse profile to be able to obtain a MYO or own a pal.

★ SPECIES SERVER CURRENCY ★

The Pocket Pals server has a currency called bytes (). Bytes can be obtained through various ways explained in our User Guide.

Byte Rules:

You may trade bytes for other items such as art or characters. You may advertise them under bytes ads in the server.
Please do not trade Bytes for USD or vice versa.
Loaning bytes to other users is not allowed.

★ MAKE YOUR OWN (MYOs) ★

Once you've obtained a MYO in our species, you're able to start designing your Pocket Pal immediately.

DO NOT create new profiles for your Pocket Pal, your MYO slot serves as the character's profile.
DO NOT upload redesigns or MYO designs to a profile until your MYO has been approved.

USD MYOs:

MYOs of all rarities can be purchased through the Ko-fi shop.
Please submit your proof of purchase in the Discord server for your MYO to be transferred to you.
You are allowed to resell your MYO for the same price bought or lower.
MYOs bought with USD can add value to your pal.
USD purchases are non-refundable.
You can swap USD MYOs for MYOS obtained through any means. However, monetary value for MYO slots is lost once traded for a non-USD value. In the case of a USD obtained MYO being bought from another community member who bought it from the Ko-fi shop, the MYO will be worth how much was paid for the MYO trade.

Byte MYOs:

Common and uncommon MYOs can be bought using bytes in our Discord's pal shop.
Submit your proof of purchase in the Discord server for your MYO to be transferred to you.
Byte MYO purchases are non-refundable.
You can swap MYOs obtained with bytes for MYOs obtained through any means. However, byte value for MYO slots is lost once traded for a non-byte value.

Server raffles and events:

MYOs can also be obtained through our monthly prompt where you can draw pals for a chance to obtain an MYO.
The winners for the event will be rolled randomly.
Raffles are also held occasionally in the server.

MYO design guide:

Please look through the species trait sheet for a detailed written or visual guide.
Submit your pal to the MYO approval thread in the server for them to be official!
Feel free to create a ticket in the server for a check before submitting your pal.
You are allowed to commission an artist a custom to make your pal.

Designing rules:

Pals cannot be based off of pre-existing characters from media. Your MYO approval request will be denied or asked to be changed. However, they can be lightly inspired by pre-existing characters.
- Fill out the inspiration section when submitting a MYO. You will be verbally warned if you do not for a design that is clearly based off pre-existing media.
You are allowed to turn your one-off character into a pal as long as permission is given from the original designer.

Redesigning rules:

Contact the original designer for permission for redesigns; TOS's are not applicable, we need explicit consent.
Redesigning a pre-made pal must be recognizable to the original design
Gender, clothes, hairstyle changes, or adding extra accessories does not need to submit for a redesign approval

★ OFFICIAL POCKET PAL ADOPTS ★

Pocket Pal adopts are posted frequently on the Discord server. These are reserved for staff or monthly GAs to make.

Pocket pal adopts are only available for staff and GAs for the month. You are not allowed to make your own and advertise pal adopts.
Designer’s TOS applies to any adopts they make.
If participating in a bid-to-adopt (BTA), be sure you have the funds and follow an artist's terms for bidding.
- Do not delete your bid without communicating with the designer or staff, a warning will be issued.
Failure to purchase an adopt or ghosting the designer will be recorded and given necessary consequences.
Please be respectful and civil to other participants during any open adopts, any misconduct will result in staff taking necessary action

★ TRADING AND RESELLING RULES ★

Feel free to use any of the advertising channels and appropriate pings in the server to trade or resell your pal. Do take note of the rules posted in the individual channels about posting rules.

Trading and reselling of pre-made pals or MYOs:

Make sure to follow the designer’s TOS if applicable (ex. trade cooldowns or other)
Entertaining offers (EOs) for pals are not allowed to be advertised within the server.
You cannot resell a pal for USD/real life currency if there is no value added. Additionally, you cannot resell your pal for more than the value bought.
- Creating a design for a pal MYO does NOT add value on it's own.
Commissioned art, additional art by the owner, custom commissioned designs, and MYOs bought with real currency can add value to your pal. Gift art (including DTPA, Pal of the week, other events) does not count.
Pals obtained from our USD gachas cannot be resold for more than $25 unless art is added.

Byte reselling:

Pals obtained with bytes cannot be traded for real currency unless there is added value such as commissioned art.
You are allowed to trade your pal for bytes.
Pals obtained from our monthly byte gachas cannot be resold for bytes more than it's value (500 bytes) unless art is added.

★ VOIDING ★

Please ask the original designer for permission before voiding your pal.
Submit your pal in the voiding thread, where a mod will remove your character in the Toyhouse world. The messages in this channel are purged often for privacy.
Removing pal traits is not required.

In the case you would like to add a Pocket Pal back to the world, contact the team through the Toyhouse profile, the QNA channel, or a mod ticket with a link to the pal you would like to be re-added and it will be put back into the world at no additional cost or expense.
