Introduction

Centauris o thanatos (greek. "on horse of death") or Centalis are mystical beings that guide dead souls over the river Styx and Acheron to guide them to The Asphodel Meadows. They act as guardians and ferrymen for the souls when crossing the two rivers, but not all souls are pure so they must be careful to not get tricked.

They were made as vessels to help Charon make souls cross the river to the underworld and to keep peace. They are bound under the contract of the goddess Styx, that if they make enough souls equal to their sins cross the river, they will be made to roam The Asphodel Meadows freely later on, and some might even become human again.
