TRAIT GUIDE
Sealestials are an open species created by gutter. Named for seals and stars, Sealestials take heavy inspiration from myths surrounding selkies. Anyone is free to make their own!

  • Not all Sealestials fit into these subtypes! They're just fun bonus options for non-standard Sealestials!

OSTARIIDAE have much longer tail flippinions, extending to the full length of the body, or even more, trailing behind them like a meteor trail! They also have up to two small additional pairs of flippinion ears - six in total, each set with its own pair of gravities on the tips!

Ostariidae are occasionally mistaken for mermaids, or leviathan-like serpents.

ATMOSPHOCIDAE have shorter tail flippinions, but their torso flippinions are much larger and more wing-like! They're more likely to be feathered, but that's not exclusive to this subtype. Their flippinion ears can also be much larger to match the ones on the torso, and assist further with ‘swimming’ through space!

Atmosphocidae are occasionally mistaken for angels, or demons.
