LORE TIDBITS

LORE

Headaches, chronic migraines, and unemployment have been at an all-time-high. Most researchers assume this to be due to overworking, but recent studies have shown this to be quite the opposite. The laid-off individual is, and has been, dead. A parasite that is believed to have originated in cats is spreading rapidly among people and using their dead bodies as a host. Many homeowners are releasing their beloved pets, causing an outbreak of these pests out in the open. Anything can be infested with what the public is now deeming "Super Ticks."
The parasite takes four weeks to fully take over. The victim will die after two. There are no measures that can be taken to prevent this pest other than constant checks to the back of the head, specifically the Occitipal Bone, where the parasite most commonly latches on.

The governent has declared a worldwide outbreak.

LOGS

  • Day 1 - 11:30 am.

I have a blistering headache. Something is happening to be, it's not going away no matter the medication I take. It's a constant pounding at the back of my head, as if I accidentally stuck something into my skull.

  • Day 3 - 2:00 am.

A government report was just released all over the news. I'm not sure how long I may be alive, if this is true. I have the bump. They don't know if it's safe to remove yet, and I'm afraid it might hurt me more if I try. I tried to use lice shampoo, but now it's itching horribly. I think I made whatever is on my head upset. There's no blood, though.

  • Day 4 - 5:00 pm.

My week is supposed to be up soon, according to an article I read. I woke up with a thin ring of blood on my pillow.

  • Day 4 - 7:00 pm.

Maybe I'll be okay. I found an article stating that they detatch if you pour prune juice on it. Besides, I was told that people that survive this thing will get a massive paycheck if they help with research.

  • Day 5 - 11:00 am.

I can't move very much. I feel stiff. Maybe this is what it's like to be dead.

  • Day 5 - 2:00 pm.
