available to any caual made before the revamp is fully released or any free myo from the original starter event. this allows you to keep their traits the same if you can't fully switch them over to the new system without having to change or get rid of something (though you can anyway if you really want to), or for starter myos, to be able to use the old traits when designing since that's what was originally there during the event. note that after the revamp, additional old traits cannot be added to existing designs.
