Hello Kadoworld!
We have some good and bad news to share...
The bad news
Sadly the species will be going on a semi-hiatus starting SEPTEMBER 30TH 2024 until JULY 1ST 2025 [in 10 months as of this bulletin]. This means there will be no newsletters, no new events, no new GAs, etc.
Onto the good news!!
During this hiatus, we will be revamping and updating the world, the neocities and the server!
These changes include but are not limited to;
- Adding trait graphics to the neocities
- Making some of the pages on the world more clear!
- An updated lore/Void guide on carrd with plenty of buttons and new information!
- (Discord server) Addition of new bots and a general clean-up of Discord channels and descriptions + role names
- ... and more!!!
Furthermore, during the hiatus, we will still be accepting MYO designs, updating masterlist transfers, handling the shop, etc.!
If you want to stay updated
If you'd like to be kept up to date with the changes as they happen, please comment below and ask to be added to the pinglist. We will ping you in the comments of this bulleting ~once a month in place of a newsletter, with all the changes and updates that were finished in that past month!
Additionally, if you have any suggestions, or something specific you'd like to see happen, please dont't hesitate to comment them below so the mods can consider it!

Pirates Vs Sailors
"The ocean may be vast, but there's only room for one of us on the seven seas!"
Hop on your ship of choice and set sail, may the wind be at your back!
This event will be in the style of artfight with a few of our own additions! you can track your team score here!
- multiple entries are allowed, but each piece must include at least one (1) kadonul.
- currency points = team points. each entry will earn points in the style of starfruits. upon participating, each kadonul drawn will receive two (2) starfruits. Each huskling or 2x null forms will receive one (1) starfruit.
- you will not be able to switch teams, so chose carefully! there is a thread in the discord server that you can use to pick your team. if you are in the TH world only, please DM your entry to the kadonul account and mention which team you are entering for!
- pieces must look finished or fit your terms of what is considered finished. no sketches or low effort pieces will be accepted.
- all pieces must at minimum be from the shoulders up.
- all art pieces must follow our TOS.
New Art Prompt
Ahoy there! It's time to set sail with Captain Dimitri. Summer has come, and Dimitri is tired of being holed up in his shop all season. With the shop being taken care of by a friend, he's ready to sail the seven seas along with all his Kadonul friends! Who, or what will he discover?
Draw, or write about your Kadonul's adventures in the ever lasting battle between pirates and sailors, and perhaps they may stumble upon some buried treasure! Well met, me hearty!!
Ancient Traits
Special traits that can be added to your MYO. Ancient Traits can only be purchased using Starfruits. The new traits are listed below.
- Shapeshifting: Your Kadonul can shapeshift into one alternate form. This does not include your Kadonul's NULL form, and the NULL form will always mirror their usual humanoid form. Please read the trait entry for more specifics!
- Mixed Subspecies: Your Kadonul can have traits from both the Aquonul and Aeronul subspecies, at the same time.
- Man-Made Limbs & Traits: Your Kadonul's limbs and traits can be made of man-made objects. This is not the same as prosthetics.
Huskling Traits
Adding onto our Husklings, we're introducing some fancy treats for your pets that may alter their appearance and traits! You can find these in the newly established pet shop run by Rayne and Mavis! This shop primarily runs on Starfruits, but those can be exchanged for Void Crystals in Dimitri's shop.
- Non-Moth Wings: This huskling's wings are not the standard moth-like design.
- Other Tail Types: This huskling's tail is different from their usual half fur tail.
- Different Shaped Core: This huskling's core is a different shape from the standard oval shaped core. It is still located on their upper back, between their wings.
- Man-Made Traits & Limbs: TThis huskling's may have traits (such as wings or tail) or limbs (not including the head, ears, or main body) that are made out of man-made materials, such as metals, glass, etc.

One whole year of Kadonuls...thank you so much for an amazing year! The Kadoteam is super proud of the little community we have built, and we thank you all for coming along with us on this ride! Here's to many more years to come!!

Marine Day! (July 15th)
To celebrate our oceans and sea life, one of our mods (AstralRam) is hosting a primarily F2E raffle on this profile. What can you win? A slotless Aquonul custom, up to the Sacred rarity! Summer Traits
As a last addition to our seasonal traits, Kadonuls is introducing our summer traits! These are F2U during the months of June, July, and August but can be used year round with a Timeturner. The new traits are listed below.
- Coral/Barnacle Growth: This trait works similarly to the Sacred rarity trait "Crystal/Plant Growth" - but with coral and barnacles instead!
- Mermaid Tail: No legs in this water... we have fishy mermaid tails! This tail can be in the shape of any marine animal tail (e.g. sharks, eels, etc.), and it replaces both the legs AND tail. NOTE: this trait is only available for Kados of the Aquonul subspecies!
- Pearl Parts: Your Kado can now have parts of their body be made of pearls.
- Living Hair: This trait works exactly like the "Living Tail" trait from Halloween - except now it's the hair that's come alive.
- Bird Feet/Claws: Instead of the required pawed feet, or the common hooves... cawcaw, the feet are now clawed! NOTE: this trait is only available for kados of the Aeronul subspecies!
- Water Tail: This trait works similarly to the Sacred rarity trait "Elemental Traits/Limbs", but only applies for the element of water, and can only be applied to a kado's tail!

Brief Notes!
We recognise that there has been a delay of this month's newsletter, and staff has been a bit extra quiet over the past few weeks, so we thank you all for your understanding!
We are currently gearing up for some exciting events in the next couple of months - this with the Kadonul species's upcoming anniversary (and more!? 👀). With this, the perpetual event "Draw the Kado Above (DTKA)" will be on break for the month of June, July, and August. Don't worry, though, the summer months will be filled with lots of other commotion here in the Void - to be announced later on >:)

Now for some important information on the site - sorry it's so long sob
Kadonul masterlist links have changed
This is the biggest change that has taken place with this update, and we hope you can bear with us through it!
A lil explanation on "why the change?"
- The masterlist is no longer on the front page, as we have other content there. Therefore it operates on a sub-page ("/kadodex")
- Masterlist entry numbers have finally been fixed to their design type (e.g. MYOs are MYO0001, MYO0002, etc.; NPCs are NPC0001, NPC0002, etc.; and same goes for OFF designs, and the newly incorporated GUE (guest artist) design prefix !), so the numbers may, on certain entries, no longer match up with the old masterlist numbers.
- This is how we originally wanted the masterlist numbering to be, but it wasn't easily possible with the last version of charadex. We are very happy that we get to make this change now, even though we do understand that it may be inconvenient for the masterlist numbers themselves to change for a lot of you.
BUT don't fret, there's a (very easy!) way to find them again
- Go to Species Info -> Kadonuls Masterlist (Quick link: https://kadonul.neocities.org/kadodex)
- Type your TH username in the search bar.
- Profit (all of your lovely characters and MYO slots should show up)
The bank will no longer be updated on Google Sheets
The bank has been moved to our neocities site.
- Quick link: https://kadonul.neocities.org/inventories (found under: Shop -> Bank/Inventory)
- You should be able to type your TH name in the search bar to find your personal inventory!
- As of today, we will not be updating the Google Sheet, and will only be updating the site (we will also link to the new bank in the old Google Sheet, just in case anyone happens to go there heh)
Dimitri's Shop will no longer be on carrd
Dimitri's Shop/the Kadonul MYO & Trait shop has been moved to our neocities site.

Kadonul and Huskling Traits pages
You may notice, under Species Info, there are links to catalogues of Kadonul traits and to Huskling traits! Notes on these:
- Images depicting the traits are cooking! They will be rolled out as they are finished.
- For the Huskling traits specifically, we know that the "Extra Traits" button comes up empty... these traits have yet to launch, but don't worry, they'll be there when the time is right >:))
Bugs, or incorrect/misplaced info?
I've done my best to double-check everything, but if you notice site bugs or incorrect information, please don't be afraid to let us know!
- If you have any corrections. Whether its ML entry info, typos, or a site bug, let us know (preferably with a link to the place that needs correcting!) - you can do so either in the #help-box in our Discord, or by messaging the kadonuls account!
- If you notice missing or incorrect "Transaction Log" entries. Under each masterlist entry, there is a "Transaction Log" section, detailing transfers in ownership, addition of designs, etc. A lot of entries have been typed in, but some may be missing or incomplete. A couple of reasons could be:
- We may have been unable to find some information, as a lot of Kado info is strewn about different parts of Discord and TH
- We may not have logged it yet (there's a lot of transactions to log... we're working through it, promise!)

hello hello Kadofriends! we have some news about the masterlist site/Kadonuls neocities site~
As some may already know, a new version of "Charadex" (the popular code lots of species use for masterlisting - Kadonuls included) dropped relatively recently. Our staff has thus been working behind the scenes to update our site to include all the new lovely features that the Charadex update entails!
What does this mean for our residents?
- The site will be down for maintenance for a few hours, starting at 9am server time (in about 1 hour from this post), so we can get everything set up nicely and make sure it works as expected on the platform
- You current masterlist links for your Kados will be changing slightly due to the new setup of the site (more will be explained on finding your new links, once the new site is live)
What can we expect to see on the new site?
- The site will include a new front page, with an overview of the species, important links, staff, etc.
- The site will still have the Kadonuls masterlist, and in addition there will be a species trait catalogue you can filter through for more detailed descriptions of traits than you may see on our trusty written trait guide
- The Huskling masterlist and traits catalogue will go live with the new site (if you haven't seen the announcement on Husklings, they are the official pets of the Kadonul species - you can read about them in the April newsletter
- The bank (currently hosted on google sheets) will officially move to neocities; this way everyone should be able to easily search their name on the site's inventory page to find all their stuff, instead of having to sift through a spreadsheet
- Drimitri's Shop (AKA the Kado MYO/Traits shop, currently hosted on carrd) will be moving to the neocities site as well, hopefully making it easier for folks to check out Void Crystal goodies !
- ... and more later? >:))
When will the new site be up?
- I'm not fully sure how long it will take to perform the maintenance, but it shouldn't be more than a few hours downtime ! (heck, if everything goes super smoothly, it shouldn't even take an hour hehe <3 )
- Either way, dont worry; we will post again, once the site is ready for use!
