THE VOID
Nowhere, Everywhere.
The home of the Kadonul species. No one knows how, when, or where the void came into being, but some speculate that it is actually the domain of a higher power. The only way to enter is through a portal created by a Kadonul.

Overview
The void is a very dark place with no sun to provide it any form of light. All light in the void comes from it's inhabitants (Kadonuls) and other natural sources such as glowing mushrooms, crystals, and more. The biggest lightsource is a large glowing ball of energy that is kept deep within the Lost Woods.

Time passes the same in the void as it does on Earth, which makes it very easy for a Kadonul to switch between the two locations without any confusion. Additionally, they have no calender or time system of their own, and use the same system as humans do.
Most Kadonuls begin by speaking the language of whatever memory they were created from. This can be English, Spanish, Chinese, or any language that is spoken by humans.
The second language of most Kadonuls. The Nulvenish language consists of a series of clicks, hums, and whistles. It is a tonal language and is mostly used to communicate between NULL forms.
There are not many Kadonuls who speak Mocatian, and there are even less who are fluent enough to teach it. This language can be used...─error─code─045─...
Void Crystals
Glowing purple crystals that are mined from deep within the crystal caverns.
Shadow Travel / Portals / Flight
- In their NULL forms, Kadonuls are capable of jumping into nearby shadows and re-emerging from another one.
- Kadonuls possess some sort of magic and can use this to open portals to and from the void. They cannot be used to open portals to different places in the void however.
- Some Kadonuls are capable of flight, either by using their magic or by possessing wings.
Mirir . The Goddess of Memories. Kadonuls are not heavily religious, but they do have a god that they follow. Her name is Mirir, and is the one who created the first Kadonul (Weiss). She is deemed the mother of the Kadonuls, and her name is often mentioned in old stories and legends. The only one who has seen Mirir in person however, is Weiss.
BEGYNDELSE
In the beginning, there wasn't much in the void. The Kadonuls have transformed this dark and gloomy place into a habitable region with lights and cities. The void is divided into three main sections, with each section sporting it's own subregions. The town of beginnings, called Begyndelse is where all portals will lead you to. It is the central city of the Void, and by far the most populated.
Landsby
Landsby is the name of the region where regular Kadonuls live. This area is accessable to all types of Kadonuls, and is the place where most Kadonuls will start out. Landsby contains several different landmarks such as the Memoria Lake and the Lost Woods. It is also known for it's bustling night life, along with the Crimson Market that comes around every two weeks.
Himlen
Also known as the city in the sky, Himlen is made up of a series of floating black islands which the Aeronuls have turned into a home. The only way to reach Himlem is by either flying there, or shadow travel. Himlen has been known to appear like stars against the dark backdrop of the void, when viewed from the ground.
Vandpyt
Historical Figures
Mirir . Goddess of Memories | The goddess of memories, and the mother of all Kadonuls, she is the reason the Kadonul species exists in the first place. She is often mentioned in old stories and legends, described as a beauty by many. The only Kadonul who has seen her in person is Weiss as she disappeared from the Void many many years ago. Some speculate that the void is actually a domain made of her powers, and is kept alive by her faith.
Weiss . First Kadonul Previously a devoted priest of Mirir's temple, upon their passing, Mirir turned them into a Kadonul, placing their soul in the doll like body that they have now. They were alone for many years before more Kadonuls started to appear in the void. They believe that their life duty is to watch over the Kadonul species.

Landsby
nowhere, anywhere
Home of the Kadonuls . main city
The main city of the Kadonul species. This is where all Kadonuls start off, before perhaps splitting off to either Vandpyt or Himlem according to their subspecies. The city is well developed, with bustling streets and fun shops.
Crystal Caverns . mine A series of deep underground caves where void crystals are gathered. These caves start at the surface and slowly delve deeper into the VOID's surface, the only light being from the glowing crystals that line the walls and ground. No one knows where these tunnels and caves come from..but maybe Dimitri knows something?
Lost Woods . forest A dense piece of forest that sits right outside of Landsby. It's said that anyone who enters get turned around and confused, hence the name. The forest seems to be protecting something, with Lewis as it's guardian. Deep within the forest is a large ball of energy, that is speculated to be made of Mirir's last remaining power.
Memoria Lake . body of water A somewhat dark and mysterious lake, with a quaint white lakehouse on it's banks. There are several warnings about swimming in the lake due to it's memory wiping powers. What happens when a being made of memories...gets erased? Nothing good.
Farmhouse . barren fields Looking onto the horizon leading to Nowhere, you'll always find yourself staring at a remote farmhouse in the midst a barren, droughted field. Legend has it that many Kadonul have travelled for days, even weeks, to reach the mysterious house - but it always stays at a distance; in sight, yet unattainable.
Weiss . guide A noncorrupted Kadonul who's been around since the beginning of time. He is often heralded as the creator of the Kadonul species, but in all actuality, they are just one of the first to poof into existance. They are often seen guiding new Kadonuls around, as well as teaching them their duties. A Kadonul's first memory orb usually also comes from them.
Dimitri . shopkeeper A noncorrupted Aeronul with a taste for void crystals! He runs the esteemed Kadoshop, thriving because of his eye for shiny things. His...unique...diet has caused some discoloring of his skin and fingers, but that doesn't seem to stop him!
Grannie . guide A noncorrupted Kadonul who likes to bake cookies, brew tea, and nap on her front porch. She lives in the middle of Nowhere, kept company by her two wolf tails, or the occasional visit from Dimitri or Weiss. Despite living on a farm, Grannie's fields are kept barren and dry for the majority of the year. Wonder why?
Himlen
high above the ground
Home of the Aeronuls . sub city
Situated high above the ground on a series of floating islands, Himlem is only accessible to those who have wings, or by shadow travel. The city is so high up that it can look like stars from the ground. The main attraction of Himlem, besides the view of the Void, are the balls held in the Palace of Eons.
Palace of Eons . castle Despite it's gloomy appearance, the Palace of Eons is home to a mysterious group of Aeronuls that are known to throw annual balls to celebrate another year of being alive. Some speculate that the parties are being hosted by the Shatterhounds, a group of elite warriors that protect the Kadonuls from any external threats. All types of Kadonuls are welcome at these balls, and they're often several days long.
Flight District . residences The Flight District is the home of your average Aeronul, series of homes and houses lined up next to each other like a neighborhood.
The Academy . School A school for Kadonuls, ranging from kindergarden level to university. The Academy teaches anything and everything a Kadonul might need to know, and even will train them in certain skillsets. Kadonuls are not required to attend, but many chose to for the fun of it.
Shatterhounds . warriors A collective group of elite warriors that protect the Kadonul species from any kind of threat, both internal and external. The force is made up of Aeronuls, Aquonuls and Kadonuls. They are led by ...--./-clearance denied..-/-..

Vandpyt
deep under the waves
Home of the Aquonuls . sub city
Deep down below the surface of the water, Aquonuls may find themselves being guided by their memory orbs to a place that not many know of...unless they are a Aquonul of course. As the tunnel opens up, a hidden underwater city is revealed, brightened by glowing algae and various sea animals. Some..more familiar than others.
City of Vandpyt . city The biggest city of Vandpyt, complete with it's own shops and homes. While the area is not as easily accessible by regular Kadonuls and Aeronuls, it is heavily populated with Aquonuls who have their own little slice of paradise hidden away from the rest of the VOID.
Catacombs . tunnel system A series of underwater tunnels and caves, about 75% of which is undiscovered. Aquonuls are advised against entering, lest they get lost and never return. No one knows who or how they were made, nor what is at the end of them. For now, the Aquonul division of the Shatterhounds has blocked off the area to the public.
Davy Jones' Locker . graveyard A graveyard for Kadonuls of all types, and is one of the few occasions where a Kadonul or Aeronul will venture into the water's depths. When a Kadonul passes, they dissolve into ashes, only leaving behind their cores (even corrupted Kadonuls who lost their cores!). Davy Jones' Locker contains small graves for each core, and is attended to by Aquonuls.
Gravekeeper . gravekeeper No one knows their real name, and they're often compared to a Spectre, but the Gravekeeper is often spotted cleaning up graves and chasing off marine life from disturbing the dead.
REDACTED . banker An aquonul who is in charge of the void crystal economy and keeping Dimitri from single handedly running it into the ground. They claim that they're always so stressed on the surface, so they like to come home to the peace and quiet of the ocean.
Local Holidays
Huske Dagen july
The month of July is a special month for Kadonuls. Not only does Mirir's and Weiss's birthdays fall with the month of July, but this month is also the time when memories started to pour into the void, and started the Kadonul species. The month is usually spent celebrating with loved ones with lots of good food, music and parties.
- No day is more special than the other, and the entire month is spent celebrating.
Rumors
- Some Kadonuls say that Weiss is actually a robot that plugs into the wall at night...despite them disproving it many times over.
- Past the Lost Woods, there is a small grotto that seems to be the home to...something. Every time a Kadonul gets too close, the area seems to warp and disappear.
- During a specific season, you may find yourself wandering in endless barren fields, your sights fixed on a farmhouse far out in the distance. You can never seem to reach it though....
