The world is set in a fantasy world, where both modern technology such as TV's, but also more primitive technology exists such as horse-drawn carriages are normal, depending on the area. This gives the world a lot of variety and unique opportunities for character and community development.

The current situation in the world is a little hectic. The majority of inhabitants in any settlement are humans, however they are plagued by Vampire attacks who needs to feed. However some Vampires try to blend in and lead normal lives within their community, but it proves difficult as the Vampire hunters are experts at tracking down, finding and eliminating Vampires with their specialized equipment and training. While they kill normal vampires, they do take in half-vampires and train them as their own, something high up on their priority list. This is because of an elusive unnamed organization's plans of capturing and using said half breeds as subjects to experiment on. Nobody knows what their true intentions are, but everyone knows to steer clear of them unless they want to end up in a jar or a ditch somewhere.
