Alien race based in the 7th sector of the universe. They are built for fighting and tend to do so all the time, often waging wars for materials that are not readily available to them on their own planet. Their planet is very jungle like with huge trees that are equivalent to redwoods but even bigger that tends to be covered in patches of thick, fluorescent mosses. They are den or tree dwelling creatures; each dependent on what section of the planet that they are on.
Despite their seemingly primal ways of life, the Drasharii are actually a very advanced life-form. They have the equivalent of futuristic technology and modern day technology including but not limited to: Medicines, electrical material, phasers(not big users of them), war and flight orbital ships, space jumpers, zero gravity technology, and many other things. They are heavy builders and creators but most of these items are used in their ships rather than on their planet. They like to keep their planet free of pollution that having these items would bring.
The Drasharii have a very high social ranking with the highest being a general the lowest being a soldier. They grow their hair dependent on their ranks and take very good care of it. Hair is cut or shaved when they are exiled from a clan or if they are demoted in rank and lengths must be kept at the ranking they are in until they are promoted.
The Drasharii are omnivorous but they are more on the carnivore spectrum. They can and will eat fruit and vegetables when that is all that is available to them but they need high protein intake in order to be able to function properly. They also do not believe in cooking their food being consuming so they will generally catch their food and settle down to eat it as soon as it is killed.
Males:
Males are larger in size and tend to be brightly colored for courting. The brighter colored the male the more mates he is likely to have. Muted colors in males are not unheard up but they are less likely to gain the affections of another who is more likely to take to the more vibrant males.Think tropical fish or peacocks. However Albinism in a mate is highly sought after due to their pale, light colors, while Melanism is usually rejected. Their hair also mimics the colors of their bodies as well. They can have several spines on their lower back as well that are used for display but not every male will have them. They can have up to 5 quills that are soft, flexible, and move-able. They are made of cartilage rather than bone so they are less likely to break as well.
Male Drasharii also have three forms: a fighting, a regular, and a bipedal. All forms are covered in a thick, dense, felt like fur that is water resistant.
- The fighting forms are huge cat like creatures with hard armor plates along their body along with a spade shaped. Roughly the size of a rhino in this form. Claws are roughly 9-10 inches in this form as well with a large, backward facing barb that is filled with a corrosive poison that comes from a gland not much further up the leg. Each leg has one of these barbs and the barbs transfer to all forms. They are dense creatures and are heavier than they look.
- Regular forms are thinner in make with a humanoid upper form. They are centaur in form. They don’t have the same armor plating in this form as in their fighting form but they are still very hardy with heavy bones and tight muscles. Long, thin legs are jam packed with muscle that allows them to run at roughly 35-40 mph at a low sprint and max out at 55 mph when they are going all out. Their more humanoid sides hands in this form do not carry claws or the barbs; those are reserved for the “paws”.
- Bipedal forms are more humanoid in appearance but their legs retain that same thin, digitigrade form that their regular forms have. Their legs are covered in that dense felt-like fur up to their waists. Long whip-like tails stem out from the middle of their spines and split off closer to their hips
All forms will display the spines if they have them, dense fur, and thick claws.
Females are more dilute in color usually ranging in more earthy tones. Females with higher testosterone will display the more bright colors but this is very rare in them. They are smaller than the males with more thin builds and they do not possess the fighting form that males have.
The inside of both sexes’ mouths and other membranes are usually brightly colored. With females it is usually softer, more pastel colors while the males show colors closer to their body colors. All sexes also have an unhinging jaw to allow for more room and thick canines. Though the males tend to have larger, more pointed canines. Both sexes also have a forked tongue that is about twice the length of a normal humans. They only have 4 fingers/toes.
The Drasharii wear little to no clothing because of the amount of work it would take to cover their forms. This does not mean that they will not wear them, they just prefer not to. When They do wear them they are usually elegant, uniform type clothing for the males or loose, silk like clothing for the females. It is not uncommon for each gender to wear the other’s clothing. They have specific dress for certain ceremonies that they host but other than that it is not uncommon to see them running around completely nude.
On the warships however it is very strict dress code. Every member on the ship has to wear specific uniforms based on their squadron and rank. This helps keep things running smoothly on the ships and keeps those who are under one general in check with the others.
Jewelry is rarely worn by males for the simple fact that it can not transition with their fighting form should they need it. It is more common to see females with jewelry because they do not have that form. This does not mean that they can not wear it, it's just if they do they run the risk that it will be ripped out or destroyed if a male wears it. Jewelry is more worn during festivities and celebrations than for common practice.
The Drasharii rarely will take one single mate and this is usually reserved for the older Drasharii. Younger Drasharii rarely settle down with just one person and are more likely to have multiple mates. They are not picky about their mates’ genders but there is usually only one dominant subject with many subordinates. Those who fight for dominance are usually put in their places but it is not uncommon either for their to be two dominant roles who share the role and the subordinates. Higher ranks and brighter colors for the males play a large role in this.
Marriage is a thing among the Drasharii though it is usually reserved for older Drasharii who are ready in social standing to settle for just one mate. They will marry among genders depending on what the relationship is like for that couple. The ceremonies are usually large and extravagant and will host festivities for the Drasharii. Marriages are rare standings so the entire clan will generally join in.
This is frowned upon for the younger generation though because it is a worry that it will make them soft and unwilling to fight because they are more worried about getting home to their permanent mate. Very rarely will a younger couple be married and it has to be under specific circumstances for it to even happen.
Love among the higher ranking officers is deeply frowned upon because it is believed that it makes one weak. It is not uncommon when officers start to settle down with one mate that another will challenge them to make them prove that they still hold that strength. If they are beaten in a challenge they lose their rank and are demoted to the rank that had challenged them unless it was a higher rank in which case they are demoted to soldier.

Female Drasharii are forbidden to fight however a transitioning female to male holds the same ranking as a natural born male. Same for transitioning males to females. They hold no bigotry for their kind and allow their kind to live as they please and do what they wish.
Very rarely they will take “slaves” from other planets.
