Echolake pride covers hectors of land on the savanna’s soil. Many individuals and mated pairs like to have their space and would rather not be around each other 24/7. This means you can find many dens dotted across the horizon. Depending on the area dens are usually found under the ground to provide a cool area out of the sun’s rays, however, some talented members have been able to find sturdy trees able to hold a den. All dens are made by the individuals living in them, some better than others, depending on age and experience. The state of a den usually indicates what the role of the lion is. For example, a healer will likely have herbs littered around their den while hunters will usually show off the bones of their favourite catches. The founder, Xia, lives at the highest point on a mount, this is so she can look over the pride in case there is an emergency and just for her own enjoyment. In the future she will likely be surrounded by her personal guards but for now she is fine on her own. In the centre of the territory is the nursery for young pups where they can be watched and looked after by their family or other members of the pride.

EchoLake Pride’s main value is their sense of family and acceptance. Due to them being a relatively small pride to those around them it gives a great sense of family and belonging to all living there. Every member knows each other and mostly get along. There is the odd sour relationship but that is to be expected in any group and it usually doesn’t last very long. Apart from Xia, the founder, there is no sense of hierarchy within the pride. No roles are seen as better as any other, this means that they all value and feel proud of their roles and the hard work it has taken to get into it. It is not easy for one to just get accepted into a role. They must go through a personalised test that is assessed by Xia first. Xia mostly values here pride members and where they have come from. Most members are castaways from their old packs. Xia prides herself in letting lions start their second life where they will be valued and appreciated. She will accept anyone as long as they promise not to harm anyone in the pride, of course they will be watched temporarily until they are fully trusted. This means that EchoLake is a pride mainly composed of misfits however, Xia is proud of this and wouldn’t have it any other way.
