Breeding

Lovelyta Ranch offers a breeding service where you may use our horses as stud or brood. Currently breeding two of our horses together is only tentatively open, send a message about that.

You can see on each horse's profile whether it's up for breeding - minimum breeding age of our horses is 6 years old. We generally also like to have some competition history and results of a horse that we breed, which is why some horses might say closed for breeding. Unless it's a horse younger that 6, or a Hototo, the horse might be actually open for breeding if not for the lack or results - if you're okay with having a yet unproven sire/dam for your horse, send a message!

Otherwise, the following breeding guidelines apply to horses at Lovelyta:

• I prefer you have an RPG stables already - even better if it's active! I'd like the foals to go to an active home and not just sit around collecting dust

• I'm not picky about the sire/dam you choose - only rule is that I don't do inbreeding or linebreeding, so while these are pixel horses, I'd still like to stay away from that

• I don't require a serious price for a breeding, just drawing a breeding pic of the two horses will do - I don't mind artist skill either, just that it's obvious that an effort was made for the breeding pic

• I reserve the right to change the rules at any time, as well as say no to any breeding

• You may design the foal, unless you want me to design it - I'll do it free of charge

• Breeding pics and/or foal designs/references have no expiry date, please use common sense and courtesy and work in a humanly possible timeframe

• I do not require a parental slot, and my foals do not come with strings attached - I won't reclaim it or demand a slot to it, or try to have any rights over it. Once it hits the ground, it's your very own horse to do with as you please

• My only request, which is just a simple request, is that if you no longer want the foal, please give it back to me. I'd be happy to have any foal of my own horses if you figure you no longer need it. You are free to give it to someone else who wants it and might be more active with it, I don't even have to be the first person you ask (it would be nice, though!), but I want you to know that any foal (or grandfoal) from me is always welcome to return

• As I said, you are to do with your foal as you please, so I can't limit whether you want to sell it for a price once you no longer want it. However, I hereby state that I will not do any kind of payment for a foal or grandfoal that's from my horse when it is returned to me - I only require a breeding pic as price and not any kind of actual money, so if you want to make points or money off the (grand)foal, I'm sorry but as much as I'd love to have a foal you don't want anymore, I can't be your person

• These guidelines go into effect on 2nd April, 2020. Foals previously sired/birthed by my horses are not affected, as it would be unfair

• Asking for a breeding with one of my horses means automatically accepting the guidelines I outlined for breeding, whether you read them or not. I do not take any responsibility for things that happen resulting from not having read the rules

If you agree to all the guidelines stated above, head over to my gallery, or to the studs and mares and take a look!

When requesting a breeding, please send a message or comment on my profile with name of the horse, chosen partner (name, link to reff), future owner of the foal, and possible reasons/future plans for the foal (not mandatory).
