Dream World

The Dream World. A world that's ever-shifting, never staying the same for long.

The Dream World is a world separate from all others, but connected all the same. The fabric of this world is created by the dreams of beings from many, many different worlds and dimensions. Normally, only the minds and souls of the dreamers can visit the dream realm, and only within their own dreams. Rarely however, the Dream World can be used to traverse between worlds, bringing your body along as well.

The Dream World is separated into departments, each department corresponding to a collection of worlds. Each department is overseen by a High Guardian, the Main Leaders. Each world is, in turn, overseen by a Dream Keeper. These Keepers maintain stability and safety for their world's dreamscape, and watch over the inhabitants of their worlds as they sleep. Some Keepers have additional duties as well, depending on the world. Each Dream Keeper listens to the High Guardian of their department, who makes critical and highly impactful decisions.

What would a Dream Keeper have to worry about in the first place? As the world is created by the minds and ideas of Dreamers, the world contains not only benevolent and fantastical creations, but malicious and evil ones as well. Normally a Nightmare is contained within the dream of a Dreamer, and doesn't escape into the Dream World itself. On occasion, a nightmare could cause lasting damage to a Dreamer, or escape into the Dream World. It was at this point the Keepers, or even a High Guardian, would have to intervene.
