🌱 This type of PC must be obtained through an event or something similar. They are not open to make unless you've earned one!
🌱 Generally speaking, when playing a PC, replace "Snakekey" and "keke" with "PC" where applicable. For example, one of the creation rules reads: A keke must be created at the hatchling phase. Since you're not using a keke, you'd read this as: A PC must be created in the hatchling (/puppy) phase. Granted, this won't work or make perfect sense with all rules, but it should be enough to get by
🌱 Yern Shenbies are a Fluffy species [💟]
🍃 Riptee eggs are known as "downy nits" due to almost entirely being covered in a layer of soft fluff
🍃 As they get closer to hatching, eggs will slowly loose their layer of down, forming a fluffy nest for themselves
🍃 Like other Shenbies, Riptee nits must be around 80F/30C to hatch and on a soft surface, though they majorly take care of the latter themselves!
🍃 Nits are not required for approvals! This is just info
🌿 Grub 🌿
🍃 Riptee grubs are very loud. They tend to cry often, sometimes seemingly for no reason whatsoever
🍃 These guys tend to be so worked up from crying all the time that they can't even levitate properly! They generally slither on the ground instead
🍃 Riptees have the typical heart-shaped Shenbie mask, but it's a little more dangerous this time...! The upper jaw forms into large teeth. Thankfully, they're nubby for now
🍃 The ears are small nubs and the arms transition into bird-like stick arms halfway down the bicep. They have two fingers per hand which are naturally claw-like
🍃 The eyes of Riptees are positioned to be half on their masks, half off
🌿 Grub Creation 🌿
🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new PC. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here!
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Grubs don't have any markings yet with the exception of their optional tingeing. If used, this must be a lighter color than the base and the same color type as the base (eg pink tingeing for a pink base). It goes on the belly and/or arms (not the stick-arm part). Note that because this must be lighter than the base, pure white grubs cannot have optional tingeing
🍂 3: Mask > Any solid color. This goes on the heart-shaped mask on the face and the stick legs
🍂 4: Eyes > Eyes can be any color, but only one. By default, Shenbies do not have visible pupils. Note that their eyes are quite shiny!
🍂 5: Hemolymph > Pick one solid color for the hemolymph (blood equivalent) and mouth to be. Cool colors (blue, green, purple...) will have chilled hemolymph, totally desaturated colors (pure black, white, grey) will have neutral hemolymph, and warm colors (red, yellow, orange...) will have heated hemolymph

🍃 Pupa Riptees finally get a hold of themselves, not crying so much so often
🍃 Now that they're calmer, they begin developing the ability to levitate properly
🍃 ...They're still loud
🍃 Pupas are much fluffier than grubs, have sharper mask-teeth, and start growing their mandibles

🍂 2: Base > Shenbies get their bases as grubs - this step is done and you can move on! Note that the new mandibles may be any solid color
🍂 3: Design > Pick 1-3 colors to make spots or blotches on the design. There must be at least one spot and markings cannot go on the mask or arms. Shenbie markings don't have size restrictions, but they cannot be gradiented. Note that, if desired, you Shenbie can grow out of their optional color tingeing, but they may also keep it through all phases of their life!

🍃 Riptee drones have a tendency to spontaneously tear up. It's not as bad as when they were grubs, but it's still quite often...
🍃 Fortunately, despite their overworked emotions, Shenbies are able to levitate properly at this age
🍃 Unfortunately, Riptees don't have the sturdiest of arms... They're prone to injuries and bruises
🍃 As they age, a Riptee's mandibles will get longer, though they're a bit stouter and rounder than some other Shenbies. Think: parrot beak

🍂 1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your PC. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples show here
🍂 2: Design > We've already done this and you're ready to go!
🍂 3: Upgrades > Shenbie drones are required to have at least one of the upgrades listed below. They can either keep or remove them once they reach adulthood. Once the approval's over, they have full access to these any time they wish (excepting on younger stages, of course). Note that a drone will always have to have a minimum of one of these and it can't just be removed after the approval process

💫1: > Bedhead - Youth
An enhanced version of head fluff that looks worse and is generally terrible. Grows on the top of the head and doesn't heed your mortal laws. Sticks up wherever it pleases and can't be tamed no matter how hard you try. Sometimes, this can form in small amounts on the chin or right above the mouth. Unlike regular head fluff, bedhead can go to the base of the neck at its maximum (excepting the bits on the muzzle, those stay short)
💫 2: > Broken mandibles - Shenbie/Riptee only - Youth
The mandibles grow brittle, breaking or cracking. Note that this can be used to break mandibles completely off, but the stump should still be visible in this case! Does not change colors
💫 3: > Chubby - Youth
Maybe one day, this'll convert into a fae morph's figure. Until then, you've got a bit of a belly going on. Note that this shouldn't be a dramatic change - just noticeable. Can be on the torso, naga tail, or both
💫 1: > Downy plumage - Plumie/Glowis Maxima/Riptee only - Youth
In place of large, long feathers, the keke grows small and soft plumage. Not really enough of a difference to keep a Plumie grounded. They're sure to be warm, though!
💫 2: > Knee knapping - Riptee only - Youth
The direction the knees bend flips the opposite way!
💫 3: > Leg reversion - Riptee only - Youth
The legs change from bird-like sticks to normal paws. Well, sort of... they still only have two toes. Does not change color - legs will still appear to be a separate material from the base! Paw pads and claws not included
💫 1: > Overfluff - Youth
Woe is you! The mane and tail fluff have expanded to an excessive size. There's no limit on how long the hair can be, but it must be a big, puffy cotton ball. Does not change color
💫 2: > Short stature - Youth
Your keke doesn't seem to have grown much...a common sign of an oncoming goblin morph. Allows them to be shorter than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though! This "upgrade" has a tendency to make them look a stage or two too young via underdeveloped face, body, etc
💫 3: > Smoothed mask - Riptee only - Youth
Soften the edges of the mask so that there no longer appears to be jagged teeth coming from it. In species without masks, this may soften attached teeth. Otherwise, it doesn't do anything
💫 1: > Teary-eyed - Riptee only - Youth
The Riptee is so weepy that tears appear to be constantly coming from the eyes...! Added bits should be the same color as the eye they're attached to
🍃 Royal Riptees have full-sized mandibles and itty-bitty ears even smaller than they where when they were drones!
🍃 Riptees are big bundles of fluff with spindly legs. They seem to have no thoughts behind their eyes and their head is empty
🍃 They're not actually stupid, mind you. They just look at things differently after dealing with crying fits for half their lives
🌿 Royal Creation 🌿
🍂 1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your PC, choosing their build in the process. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples for whichever one you end up picking!
🍂 2: Design > If desired, you can use the 1-3 of the colors chosen for markings in the pupa phase and use it to give the Shenbie any design you like. There are no rules for this aside from gradients not being allowed
