❄️ Nissie Creation

Jump to: Hatchling, Young, Youth, Adult

🌿 Behemoth Functions 🌿

🌠 Hatching: Nissies appreciate someone who takes pride in keeping their space clean and will hatch in the presence of a well-kept area. Write 400 words/draw your keke taking care to clean their living space (or other area they might care about) in the egg's presence. Art must be fully colored and a minimum of halfbody with a background. Must be cleanly lined or done in a clean lineless style
🌠 Benefiting: The Nis are house spirits. They often inhabit a home invisibly and tend to the space and/or its owners. Their blessing makes it easier to construct houses, making doing so require one less piece than usual. Note that they cannot remove all required house-building pieces - you'll still have to do a minimum of one! This only applies to the main prompts; expansion ones are a bit different. One Nissie per user can be assigned to lessen the expansion prompts, making them only require 200 words and removing the requirement for backgrounds on drawn pieces
🌠 Boosting: By earning 125 stars, a single Nissie can remove an additional required building prompt. They can do this unlimited times, but remember that they cannot 100% remove all prompts for house building!
🌠 Offspring: When breeding, an Nissie's offspring will be rolled from the opposite parent (ie Nissie x Cloaked will always result in Cloaked eggs). If  there is no parent of different type (ie Nissie x Nissie ) the babies will simply be regulars. Due to this, Nissie cannot produce mixes or hybrids. Offspring have the option of being blessed. Blessed offspring can pick a max of upgrades to apply on their application from the pool below. When submitting a blessed child for approval, the "type" field will have "Aida blessed" in front of it. For example: Type: Nissie Blessed Equinox

Ankle-cuffs.pngEye-spokes.pngFaded-feet.png

🌌 1 > Ankle cuffs: A ring of fur somewhere between the wrists and the elbows that visibly separates the upper and lower arm. This fur should be the base color (or the color of whatever markings it sits atop of), but the lower arm may be changed to a new single, solid color if desired. If there were already markings on the lower arm, they may be kept. If applied to a kekin without arms, this may go on the next suitable replacer such as legs or wings
🌌 2 > Eye spokes: A thick, pointed line coming from the inner most corner of the eyes. May be any color, but would usually be black or the line color. If a kekin does not have eyes, this may go on the face where eyes would be
🌌 3 > Faded feet: A black or grey tinge somewhere between the wrists or the elbows. This may be a gradient or a solid blob. The black/grey may be tinted a color, but only slightly

Frigid-blood.png

🌌 1 > Frigid blood: The kekin has frigid blood like that of a Nissie Behemoth. It's cold and grows colder with age. As hatchlings, kekin with frigid blood are chilly enough that ice can develop on them in the right circumstances. By the young age, they're so frozen inside that standing in one place for too long produces swirls of frost on the ground

🌿 Egg 🌿Chilly-egg.png

🍃 Nissie eggs are commonly known as "chilly eggs" due to their very low temperature. They don't need to be kept warm due to the frigid blood of the hatchling inside (but many find it makes them feel better to try anyway)
🍃 Eggshells are very slick and ice-like. This is... generally not a good feature for something so fragile to have, but it does come with its advantages. Predators will struggle to snatch them away just as much as potential guardians will. Upon seeing a chilly egg, one's first reaction should not be to scoop it up
🍃 Shells have slight fissures on their upper surface. These allow gas to escape from inside the egg and, more importantly, frigid air. Eggs will frequently vent cold exhaust, making themselves a nest of ice to rest in, the natural texture of which will keep them from rolling away on their own
🍃 Nissie will not hatch until placed in the right conditions, so trying to soak them is moot. In fact, this is highly discouraged, as they may freeze the water they're placed in. If sharing an egg pond with other, less chilly young, this could spell disaster!
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an adventure, event, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Nissie-hatchling.png

🍃 As one of their perks of being a behemoth, the Nissie have a special ability from hatching: they can turn invisible. This ability causes no strain on them, allowing them to do it whenever they please. This can make caring for young an incredible nightmare. Most caregivers recommend throwing blankets around, as this will outline the shape of the hatchling if it lands on them
🍃 It's not uncommon for Nissies to dislike being seen. They tend to be frequent users of their invisibility as well as just plain hiders
🍃 Nissie are affiliated with Winter and not just because of their extra fur on their heads, necks, and naga tails! They're chilly inside and out due to their special blood type: frigid. In the right conditions, this leaves them cold enough for ice to form on their bodies...! Due to Snakekey's fear towards snow, this can make them a little spooky
🍃 The paws of Nis are dark and there's a little tuft of fur on their wrists that will later form a fur cuff, separating the darker skin from the rest of their body
🍃 A Nissie's ears are a little bit longer than the average keke. Instead of cheek pouches, they have a set of pouches below their eyes that form the shapes of triangles. Their eyes also have noticeable pointed lines coming from their innermost corners. Their belly scales are rounded rectangles and spaced out across their bodies while their tails are tipped with diamond-shaped baby fins

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here!
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Hatchlings don't have markings yet with the exception of the paws. These should be gradiented or blobbed a black or dark gray, which may be slightly tinted a color if desired
🍂 3: Accent > Pick one solid color for the cheek pouches, paw pads, and blood to be. This color may optionally affect the baby fin as well
🍂 4: Belly scales > Pick one cool color such as blue, purple, green, etc... Apply this to the belly scales and mouth/tongue. It may also affect the baby fin if desired
🍂 5: Eyes > Eyes are one solid color with no visible pupils

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿

Nissie-young.png

🍃 Nissie will often infiltrate the houses of others and attempt to live beneath the floorboards, in the attic, and so on. They're very good at being quiet and their invisibility makes them very difficult to detect. Thankfully, their initial intentions are good. F-for the most part...
🍃 Nis who live in a house will do at least one thing on a routine. This "thing" usually aids the owner of the house, such as cleaning the windows, sweeping the floors, or polishing the furniture. Though, the ways of Nissie can be mysterious. They might end up stealing your socks every Tuesday or turning furniture upside down on the full moon. They tend to have their reasons for doing such, but the homeowner may not be able to make heads nor tails of it
🍃 Nissie are very attached to their routines and like things to be done on a sharp, consistent schedule. It's very easy to upset them by doing things out of order and they may take it out on the house or the owner...! Expect your mugs to be shuffled up for your crimes
🍃 If kekin don't take good care of or pride in their house, it's very likely that a Nissie will grow fed up and leave. This can be used to get rid of an unwanted guest. It's also rumored that they enjoy mittens for their freezing paws. They may take such a gift and depart peacefully
🍃 Young keke lose their baby fin, as is customary. Their fur elongates slightly and the tufts on their arms form furry cuffs, separating the black of their arms from the rest of their body. Even with their frigid blood, these blackened beans become especially cold. They're capable of producing small swirls of frost if a Nis stands in place for too long

🌿 Young Creation 🌿Nissie-young-aging-guide.png

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > Snakekeys get their bases as hatchlings - this step is done and you can move on! Note the paw color will have spread up to the arm cuffs
🍂 3: Color method/design > Choose a coloring method below and then design your keke with the colors you've chosen! Optionally, you can forgo either method if you'd like your keke's design to stay blank
🌼Method A: Use a grey or a black to tip any of the keke's fluff. These markings should be pointy and include no gradients. The black/grey may be tinted a color, but only slightly
🌻Method B: Use a white or blue to add frost-like dapples anywhere on the base. These markings may be gradiented if desired. If used, the white may be tinted a color, but only slightly
🍂 4: Description > You're ready to post your Snakekey! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description

🌿 Youth 🌿Nissie-youth.png

🍃 Unlike many other kekin, the markings of Nissie are capable of spreading into the youth phase. They may crop up in new areas and cover more fur than they did before
🍃 Youthful Nis are fluffier than young. Their head hair gets longer, neck mane fills out more, and the fur creeps higher up their naga tails. Still, this fluff isn't at its full length yet
🍃 Youth Nissie tend to be quite temperamental... They can't help it. Their hormones give them vicious mood swings. They are extra sensitive to changes in the house, but may also be extra appreciative of gifts left for them in turn
🍃 Nissie often hole up in one spot, but youths can take this to the extreme. They may not move for long periods of time except to fulfill their routine, miserably frozen in place thanks to their hormones. The further they are along through puberty, the more this behavior will fade. Usually

🌿 Youth Creation 🌿

🍂 1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples show here
🍂 2: Design > We've already done this and you're ready to go! Their markings may optionally have spread like creeping frost
🍂 3: Upgrades > Keke youth are required to have at least one of the upgrades listed below. They can either keep or remove them once they reach adulthood. Once the approval's over, they have full access to these any time they wish (excepting on younger stages, of course). Note that a youth will always have to have a minimum of one of these and it can't just be removed after the approval process

💫1 > Bedhead - Youth
An enhanced version of head fluff that looks worse and is generally terrible. Grows on the top of the head and doesn't heed your mortal laws. Sticks up wherever it pleases and can't be tamed no matter how hard you try. Sometimes, this can form in small amounts on the chin or right above the mouth. Unlike regular head fluff, bedhead can go to the base of the neck at its maximum (excepting the bits on the muzzle, those stay short)
💫 2 > Blotches - Youth
It looks like sores, but it's just little dots of the accent color appearing on the face. Scaled keke may try and pick off the affected scales, but this isn't a great idea, please don't pull scales out of things
💫 3 > Chubby - Youth
Maybe one day, this'll convert into a fae morph's figure. Until then, you've got a bit of a belly going on. Note that this shouldn't be a dramatic change - just noticeable. Can be on the torso, naga tail, or both

Cuffless.png26845055-BNK9v-Nli-P47-Bw6-E.png26845057-Amyctv-ZJPOSeir-S.png

💫 1 > Cuffless - Nissie only - Youth
The furry seam on the arms falls away, showing where the darkened skin meets the rest of the body. These two may come together either in a solid blob or a gradient. Does not change colors otherwise and doesn't do anything for kekin without furry arm cuffs
💫 2 > Drowsiness - Youth
Bags under your eyes because no, mom, you weren't up late last night
💫 3 > Fin shreds - Youth
Is your baby fin trying to grow back...?! How embarrassing... Small bits of fins on the end of a keke's tail. Must be the color the baby fin was originally

Hackles.pngIcy-paws.png26845097-Cahp-Xl5x-Ha-B5-BS4.png

💫 1 > Hackles - Fenris and Nissie only - Youth
A line of fur on the back that raises when a keke is angry or frightened. May run somewhere between the top of the neck and mid-torso. Added fur may be any color, but shouldn't be longer than three inches without upgrades
💫 2 > Icy paws - Nissie only - Youth
Frost spreads up the paws or arms and lingers there. Must be a color frost can be - blue, black, or white, generally
💫 3 > Short stature - Youth
Your keke doesn't seem to have grown much...a common sign of an oncoming goblin morph. Allows them to be shorter than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though! This "upgrade" has a tendency to make them look a stage or two too young via underdeveloped face, body, etc

Snowflake-fur.png

💫 1 > Snowflake fur - Nissie only - Youth
White or blue snowflakes that cling to the furry parts of a keke. Will melt if touched by warm hands, but will quickly reappear afterwards

🌿 Adult 🌿Nissie-adult.png

🍃 For behemoths, adult Nis are very small. This enables them to hide away in houses with relative ease, but does little to make them imposing. This can be a point of contention between other behemoths, while also drawing them closer to smaller kinds such as Changelings and Leprechauns in solidarity
🍃 While they are still driven to hide in and care for a house, adult Nissie can be a bit more reasonable about this. They can understand more easily if they're not wanted and form better, less weird relationships with those who appreciate their presence. It's not uncommon for adult Nis to become the housemates of keke they cared for in their youth
🍃 It's important to note that not all Nissie mature past the point of hiding in the floorboards. Some will keep this more mythical approach for life. It depends on their worldview
🍃 The fur on an adult Nis will have reached full length, giving them a proud neck mane and a flop of hair that's more likely than not to conceal one of their eyes. Their tail fur will have spread up to around their hip area, becoming longer in the process
