🕶️ Loomer Creation

Jump to: Hatchling, Young, Youth, Adult

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an adventure, event, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Hatchling 🌿
A purple Loomer standing on their paws with their tail curled up and their tongue cheekily sticking out

🍃 Loomers look relatively similar to regular Snakekeys upon hatchling. They have shorter ears and a tiny bit of hair. Their baby fin is replaced by an odd, scaly plate. They lack paw pads, belly scales, and true eyes. Instead, they have 'false eyes', which are eye-shaped scales on the face
🍃 Loom babies will generally try to mimic the other hatchlings they're around. If the other keke are types with belly scales, the Loomer will often lay very close to the ground to hide their blank belly
🍃 As is natural for someone without eyes, Loomers cannot see. They have an exceptional sense of smell to try to make up for this. Still, as someone blind trying to pretend they have eyes, it can be...kind of obvious
🍃 A Loom's tongue is naturally very long - it can reach down to their collarbones if they stick it out! The extra length helps they process more scent-based information. Hatchlings though, tend to use it to grab things they should not

🌿 Hatchling Creation 🌿
The image guide for making Loomer hatchlings

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples above!
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Hatchlings don't have markings yet
🍂 3: Accent > Any solid color. This goes on the cheek pouches and blood
🍂 4: Belly scales > Goes on the tail scales, false eyes, and mouth/tongue. This can be any greyish or blackish (besides pure black, which is not allowed), which can be tinted another color slightly if desired. Scale color does not effect a Loom's blood type. A hatchling's face, tail tip, and/or limbs can be tinged the belly color. This can carry as far as halfway up each area and is an optional feature.

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿
A young Loomer standing on one paw and happily opening their terrifying maw of fangs

🍃 If you weren't quite sure you had a weird hatchling on your hands, the Loomer's young phase should clue one in. They seem to break away from their regular keke-based appearance suddenly, which can be alarming to the unaware
🍃 Young Looms develop a partial neck ruff and some big jagged teeth that are visible all the time. Their eye plates don't grow as they age, so they may seem unnaturally small. The feet are covered by large scales that creep up to the wrists. Rather than falling off, the tail scales merge onto the tail tip, forming a large plate there. Finally, four small scales develop below the arms, two on each side of the torso
🍃 Loomers of this age are naturally incredibly affectionate. It's as if they know they've transformed into something spooky and their instincts pour on the charm to make up for it
🍃 Despite being the same material as belly scales, a Loomer's scales don't allow them to slither/stick to any surface. They are, however, very hard and provide excellent protection

🌿 Young Creation 🌿
The image guide for designing young Loomers

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > Snakekeys get their bases as hatchlings - this step is done and you can move on!
🍂 3: Color method > Choose a coloring method. Keep in mind that "variations of your base color" must looks like it comes from the same hue as the base. This means you can move the color slider say, from light orange to dark orange, but do not touch the slider you would use to change orange to blue much!
🌼Method A: 0-3 variations of the base color
🌻Method B: 1 variation of the base color, 2 of any color you like! Note that this method requires the use of 3 colors total
🍂 4: Design > Design your Snakekey with the colors you've chosen! Markings generally need to cover a lot of area. This can mean they are large in size or are very long. Smaller markings are okay as long as they're connected to a bigger marking of the same color. Spots generally should be no smaller than the entire hand and thin markings no shorter than arm's length. Do not use gradients on designs. Be sure you've removed belly color tingeing if your Snakekey had any - they've grown out of it!
🍂 5: Description > You're ready to post your Snakekey! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description.

🌿 Youth 🌿
A youth Loomer standing on their main paws and tail, smiling at the sky. They have bedhead and blotches

🍃 Once they hit the youth phase, the jig is up. As such, the false eye plates fall off. The scaling on the arms progresses to the elbows while the scaling on the tail climbs higher up the back. The end-half of the naga tail takes on a chubby appearance, with the endmost scales curling around to cover its underside. The plates beneath the underarms sprout into two new pairs of arms, though they'll have to grow in for a while. Finally, each hand grows two claw-fingers
🍃 Since they're brand new, the secondary and tertiary arms are kind of weak... Loomers will need to spend some time babying them to get their strength up. In addition, blood vessels and nerves may not have fully grown in, so extra arms are prone to bouts of numbness or feelings of weakness
🍃 As they can't see them, Looms tend to be significantly less bothered by youth upgrades than others. They're really only annoying if they feel annoying

🌿 Youth Creation 🌿

🍂 1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples show here
🍂 2: Design > We've already done this and you're ready to go!
🍂 3: Upgrades > Keke youth are required to have at least one of the upgrades listed below. They can either keep or remove them once they reach adulthood. Once the approval's over, they have full access to these any time they wish (excepting on younger stages, of course). Note that a youth will always have to have a minimum of one of these and it can't just be removed after the approval process

Two keke with scruffy hair. The left one has short facial hair while the right one does notA black keke with white blotchesA purple keke showing chubbiness in the torso and naga tail

💫1: > Bedhead - Youth
An enhanced version of head fluff that looks worse and is generally terrible. Grows on the top of the head and doesn't heed your mortal laws. Sticks up wherever it pleases and can't be tamed no matter how hard you try. Sometimes, this can form in small amounts on the chin or right above the mouth. Unlike regular head fluff, bedhead can go to the base of the neck at its maximum (excepting the bits on the muzzle, those stay short)
💫 2: > Blotches - Youth
It looks like sores, but it's just little dots of the accent color appearing on the face. Scaled keke may try and pick off the affected scales, but this isn't a great idea, please don't pull scales out of things
💫 3: > Chubby - Youth
Maybe one day, this'll convert into a fae morph's figure. Until then, you've got a bit of a belly going on. Note that this shouldn't be a dramatic change - just noticeable. Can be on the torso, naga tail, or both

A brown keke with black pointsA tan Loomer with grey scales. Small extra scales extend past their smallest set of arms, going down their sideA green Loomer with grey false eye scales

💫 1: > Color points - Youth
A.k.a. the belly color tingeing that hatchlings have is either resurfacing or appearing for the first time on your Snakekey. Same rules apply: it can be on the face, arms, and tail, going a max of halfway up each. However, it can now be any color
💫 2: > Extra patches - Loomer only - Youth
Additional scales beneath the underarms like those that form during the Loomer's young phase. Except...these aren't going to sprout arms. Added scales may be any color. Can extend all the way down the sides to the tail tip if desired
💫 3: > False eyes - Loomer only - Youth
Add back on the eye scales Loomer babies have. These, though, can vary in size, shape, and coloration. They just have to stay on the face!

A tall grey keke looks down at a lighter keke of average heightA blue keke with some missing attached teethA pale pink Loomer. The mane on their neck is gone in the upper front. This leaves them with a complete mane in the back, but only a ruff in the front

💫 1: > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!
💫 2: > Missing teeth - Youth
The teeth attached to your face are falling out again.... Hopefully they all grow back
💫 3: > Ruff loss - Loomer only - Youth
The fur on the front of the neck partially or completely falls off, getting rid of or making a hole in the ruff. The mane in the back will remain

A short green keke looks up nervously at a pink one of average height

💫 1: > Short stature - Youth
Your keke doesn't seem to have grown much...a common sign of an oncoming goblin morph. Allows them to be shorter than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though! This "upgrade" has a tendency to make them look a stage or two too young via underdeveloped face, body, etc

🌿 Adult 🌿
A big, beefy adult Loomer standing on their second and third arms as well as their tail

🍃 Adult Loomers have six, full-sized arms. Their tail scales also climb near the hip area, front arms are fully covered in scales, and they gain one more saddle-like patch on their backs
🍃 Despite their scary appearance, Looms are known cuddlebugs! Those super-sweet young instincts can kick in at random, too
