๐ฟย General Rulesย ๐ฟ
๐ฑย Snakekeys and PCs can bond together if desired
๐ฑย PCs can bond to PCs with no keke involved
๐ฑย Breaking a bond usually has negative effects on all parties involved in the locke
๐ฑย All of a locke's prompts must be completed for characters to be considered bonded and gain the resulting effects
๐ฑย If you locke is a collab (between your character's and someone else's), you should each do half of a locke's prompts. If it has 2 prompts, you each do 1. If it's an uneven split, you can chose who does the extra. Alternately, your pieces can be collaborations
๐ฑย Locke processes must be completed anew for each bond - even if a character's already been in that kind of bond before!
๐ฑย If drawn, process prompts must be a minimum of fully colored, halfbody, and shaded with a background. Both keke being bonded must be shown
๐ฑย If a bond requires characters to be a certain age, bonding pieces can portray them in a different age phase if fitting
๐ฑย Prompts go in the Locke Stuffs folder
๐ฟย Breaking Effectsย ๐ฟ
๐ย If a keke breaks a more powerful bond, they will be heartbroken.ย Heartbroken keke cannot enter any sort of bond for 6 months. After this time, the effect fades
๐ย Breaking your typical bond will result in a keke becoming dejected.ย Dejected keke cannot enter any sort of bond for 4 months, after which point the effect fades
๐ย Severing a minor bond will make a keke saddened.ย Saddened keke are prevented from entering any sort of bond for 1 month, after which the effect fades
๐ย Hartlocke ๐
This type of bonding is specifically reserved for romantic partners - It equates to marriage! Most commonly, these bonded keke will take up the titles of kith and kin with one being "kith" and the other "kin". This gives them gender neutral terms, but also different titles to go by. However, they can still go by gendered terms if they prefer
๐ Meeting > Draw/write 400 words about the two Snakekeys meeting for the first (or almost-first) time. What do they think of each other at that time?
๐ Flirting > Draw/write 400 words about one or both of the keke doing something to gain the attention of or impress the other. Can they manage to be smooth about it or does the plan end up going south?
๐ Dating > Draw/write 400 words about the two having a nice time together. What do they choose to do?
๐ Proposing > Draw/write 400 words about one or both of the keke proposing to the other. Do they make a big deal out of it or go for a more simple approach? (Note: keke often propose by offering their SO an item/accessory with the Hartlocke rune on it - shown above)
๐ธ Breeding Hartlocked keke will result in automatically earning the inheritance upgrade for all offspring. However, this is an "invisible" roll and babies will still have regular chances of pulling other clutch upgrades.
๐ธ The two Snakekeys' paper star counts will become one. If keke A has 60 stars and keke B has 40 stars, they'll now both have access to 100 stars
๐ Break effect:ย Both characters are heartbroken
๐ธ Bond character max: 2 characters only
๐ธ Bond max: A character can only be in 1 heartlocke at a time
๐ธ Age restrictions: Only adults or elders
๐ธ Snakekeys that are siblings, a parent and a child, or other such relations cannot form this type of bond
๐ย Stonelocke ๐
A stonelocke is a parent-child-type bond, but can be formed among keke of all ages. In some cases, the "parent" will even be the younger one! While usually formed at a younger age, this bond can last far into adulthood
๐ Meeting >ย Draw/write 400 words about the parent Snakekey seeing the child Snakekey for the first time. Have they just hatched from the egg or do they meet later on?
๐ Protecting > Draw/write 400 words about the parent keke feeling protective of the child keke. This can happen while protecting the little one, playing with them, caring for them, etc...
๐ธ Drawing the 'parent' and the 'child' together will give a +5 paper star bonus to the both of them
๐ธ The 'child' can earn one upgrade applied onto a parent for 50% of the regular price
๐ธ 50% off upgrade choices are permanent once applied. Once you've added the upgrade onto the 'child', you can't "sell" it back to get the half off anymore - that's been "used up"!
๐ธ Characters do not have to be blood-related
๐ธ Multiple 'children' can be bonded to a 'parent' in each prompt piece, but not multiple 'parents'
๐ Break effect: Both characters are dejected
๐ธ Bond character max:ย Unlimited, however each 'child' will only get 50% off an upgrade from oneย 'parent' regardless of how many 'parents' they're bonded to
๐ธ Bond max: Unlimited
๐ธ Age restrictions:ย None
๐ย Interlocke ๐
An interlocke is basically a hartlocke except...more. It equates to marriage, but bond allows for more than 2 adults to join. Members of an Interlocke may have to get inventive with what they call themselves, as kith and kin likely won't be enough. Being creative creatures, keke can usually come up with something
๐ย Meeting > Draw/write 400 words about at least 2 of the keke seeing each other for the first (or almost-first) time. Who out of the group has the most interesting story?
๐ Flirting > Draw/write 400 words about at least one keke doing something to gain the attention of or impress at least one other. Who's the most brazen? Or are they a gaggle of shy snakes?
๐ Dating > Draw/write 400 words about at least two keke having a nice time together. Do they have trouble setting up dates amongst all of them?
๐ Proposing > Draw/write 400 words about at least one keke proposing to at least one other. They didn't all get proposal items, did they...? (Note: keke often propose by offering their SO(s) an item/accessory with the Interlocke rune on it. They may also use the Hartlocke rune if they like the way it looks better)
๐ธ Breeding will result in automatically earning the inheritance upgrade for all offspring. However, this is an "invisible" roll and babies will still have regular chances of pulling other clutch upgrades.
๐ธ Inheritance from an Interlocke has a (1/4) chance to pull upgrades from other members in the Interlocke not involved with the breeding
๐ธ 2 of the Snakekeys in the locke will be able to share their star counts with the other members of the locke. If keke A has 60 stars and keke B has 40 stars, kekes A, B, C, and D now all have access to 100 stars. You chose which kekes share their counts. Once chosen, it cannot be changed! Exception: if one of the kekes sharing their stars leaves the locke, a new sharer can be chosen
๐ธ All keke intended to be in the bond should be featured in the process prompts at least once (you can pick and choose who goes in what pieces)
๐ธ Snakekeys that are siblings, a parent and a child, or other such relations cannot form this type of bond
๐ธ If there are keke being included in the original locke from more than 2 different users, only 2 of the users will be required to do said art
๐ธ Additional keke not included in the original process prompts can be added to the locke by preforming two of the process prompts. All bond members do not have to be shown for these prompts, though they must feature at least one other besides the keke joining
๐ย Break effect:ย If the whole locke is adjourned, all characters will be heartbroken. If only one member leaves a locke, the leaving member will be heartbroken, the rest saddened
๐ธ Bond character max:ย Unlimited. However, this bond requires at least 3 characters to form
๐ธ Bond max: A character can only be in 1 interlocke at a time
๐ธ Age restrictions:ย Adult or elder only
๐ย Foldlocke ๐
A foldlocke is a couple or a gaggle of keke that have formed a strong sibling bond! This is very common to see in hatcheries due to the numbers of kiddos there
๐ย Meeting > Draw/write 400 words about at least 2 of the keke meeting for the first (or almost-first) time. Have they known each other since hatching?
๐ Playing > Draw/write 400 words about at least 2 of the keke playing around with each other. What do they enjoy doing? Maybe they're gloomy and playing is a chore...
๐ธ Drawing/writing about Foldlocked keke together will give them a +5 paper star bonus to all keke in the locke included in the piece
๐ธ The +5 star bonus stacks. If you have 2 locked keke together, they get the +5. If you have 4 locked keke, they get +10. 6 locked keke get +15 and so on
๐ธ Uneven numbers of keke in a Foldlocke can only add +3 stars to the base bonus. So, if you had 3 keke in a locke, they'd earn +8 stars when drawn together
๐ธ Snakekeys must have a familial relationship to enter this type of bond. They do not, however, need to be blood-related
๐ธ If there are more than 2 keke being included in the original locke from more than 2 different users, only 2 of the users will be required to do said art
๐ธ Additional keke not included in the original process prompts can be added to the locke by preforming one of the process prompts. All bond members do not have to be shown for these prompts, though they must feature at least one other besides the keke joining
๐ Break effect: If the whole locke is adjourned, all characters will be dejected. If only one member leaves a locke, the leaving member will be dejected, the rest saddened
๐ธ Bond character max:ย Unlimited
๐ธ Bond max: Unlimited
๐ธ Age restrictions: None
๐ย Wildlatche ๐
A wildlatche is a close bond between a keke and an companion or pet animal. With the vast majority of keke able to speak to animals, they can grow quite close!
๐ย Meeting > Draw/write 400 words about your keke meeting their pet for the first (or almost-first) time. Did they find them in the wild or purchase them in a shop? Or something else?
๐ย Getting along > Draw write/400 words about your keke having a nice moment with their pet. Maybe they're showing they trust the keke or just taking a nap together
๐ธ Once latched to a keke or PC, a pet becomes capable of earning paper stars (even when not drawn with their owner)! These stars go to their owner
๐ธ Latched pets earn stars at the regular rate
๐ธ Both limited pets (Fishee, Frogdogs, etc) and random animals (Blizzards, Puffiins, etc) can enter a wildlatche. Stay within reason, though! No Sheeps
๐ธ Pets must be owned by you in order to be latched to a keke you own
๐ธ Additional pets not included in the original process prompts can be added to the latche by preforming 1 of the process prompts. All latche members do not have to be shown for these prompts, though they must feature at least one other besides the pet joining
๐ Break effect: Both the owner and the leaving pet will be saddened. If the owner is latched to other pets, they will be unaffected
๐ธ Bond character max: A keke or PC can latche to unlimited pets. However each pet can only latche to one keke
๐ธ Bond max:ย Unlimited
๐ธ Age restrictions:ย None
