🦢 Plumie Creation

Jump to: Hatchling, Young, Youth, Adult

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 Plumies used to be a limited subspecies, but are now free to create without having to earn them!

🌿 Egg 🌿

A white egg with a crest of bright purple and pink feathers marked with white spots, sparkles, and stripes

🍃 Plumie eggs are known as "crested eggs" due to the plumage sprouting from the shells
🍃 Eggs are lined with a mane of (usually) bright, colorful feathers. This is because they have a horrible tendency to roll out of whatever nest or pond they're currently located in. The feathers are easy for their parents flying overhead to spot so that the egg can be retrieved
🍃 Eggs need to be soaked in water to hatch, but being soaked makes hatchlings inside no less wiggly! Be sure to keep a keen eye out for rolling eggs. Or put higher walls on your soaking area
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Hatchling 🌿A blue Plumie hatchling lies on their belly, squirming around on the ground with their tongue poking out

🍃 Hatchlings are unable to fly or even glide with their wings. They're just too stumpy and fat!
🍃 They hatch with their eyes closed for up to a week. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to stop them from crawling all over the place
🍃 In place of fur, they grow feathers for their ears, mane, and tail tuft. Plumies are also shorter and chubbier than your average keke
🍃 Even after growing to full size, a Plumie's naga tail will be shorter than the average keke
🍃 Their skin is extra soft to the touch. This seems to have no effect on how easy to tear it is

🌿 Hatchling Creation 🌿A image guide for making Plumie hatchlings

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here!
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Hatchlings don't have markings yet
🍂 3: Accents >  Any solid color. This goes on the cheek pouches and blood. Plumies have the option of having the tips of their ear and/or tail feathers colored as well
🍂 4: Belly scales > Goes on the belly scales and mouth/tongue. This can be any pure grey, white, or black (besides pitch black). "Pure" means it's not tinted any other color and is totally desaturated! Keke with white scales are warm-blooded and black scales are cold-blooded. Middle of the road greys can be either blood type - you can pick
🍂 5: Eyes > Eyes can be any color, but only one. By default, Snakekeys do not have visible pupils.

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿A young Plumie hatchling, sitting up and wiggling their wings around. Their feathers are blue and white with black zebra stripes

🍃 A Plumie's wings grow quickly. Once they reach the young phase, they'll be able to take to the skies! Be careful with that tricky 'learning to fly' bit, though...
🍃 Unlike regular keke, they don't seem to hatch with strict color restrictions. Often they feature patterns and vibrant shades that would be considered impossible for a regular Snakekey to obtain without upgrades
🍃 They do loose a set of baby teeth, but this tends to skip their fangs with only their smaller front teeth dropping
🍃 Plumies have the same artistic urge that other Snakekeys do, but some hobbies can be more of a challenge than others. Thankfully, they're creative!

🌿 Young Creation 🌿

The image guide for designing young Plumies

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > Snakekeys get their bases as hatchlings - this step is done and you can move on!
🍂 3: Color method > Choose a coloring method
🌼Method A: 0-3 of any color on the feathers only. Body stays a solid color
🌻Method B: 0-3 of any color on the body only. Feathers stay a solid color
🍂 4: Design > Design your Snakekey with the colors you've chosen! Plumie's markings don't have any size restrictions, so go wild as you like. Just don't use gradients on designs!
🍂 5: Description > You're ready to post your Snakekey! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description.

🌿 Youth 🌿A youth Plumie with their mouth open in a wide, happy screech. They have a head crest, talons, and a fan tail

🍃 At the youth phase, the wings will be roughly the size of the naga tail, making the both of them somewhat short
🍃 Plumies have a high chance of keeping baby fat and staying chubby. Even with the flying and all, the stuff's intent on sticking around!
🍃 They lack upgrades that hint at what morph they'll have. Guess you'll just have to wait and see...
🍃 The first feather of the ears grows out further than the rest, giving them an alert look. The neck will also elongate slightly
🍃 Plumies don't often have a hard time with the youth phase. It's seen as when they get all the cool upgrades that'll help them leave the nest!

🌿 Youth Creation 🌿

🍂 1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples show here
🍂 2: Design > We've already done this and you're ready to go!
🍂 3: Upgrades > Keke youth are required to have at least one of the upgrades listed below. They can either keep or remove them once they reach adulthood. Once the approval's over, they have full access to these any time they wish (excepting on younger stages, of course). Note that a youth will always have to have a minimum of one of these and it can't just be removed after the approval process

Open spoiler to see youth upgrades!

Two keke with scruffy hair. The left one has short facial hair while the right one does notA black keke with white blotchesA purple keke showing chubbiness in the torso and naga tail

💫1: > Bedhead - Youth
An enhanced version of head fluff that looks worse and is generally terrible. Grows on the top of the head and doesn't heed your mortal laws. Sticks up wherever it pleases and can't be tamed no matter how hard you try. Sometimes, this can form in small amounts on the chin or right above the mouth. Unlike regular head fluff, bedhead can go to the base of the neck at its maximum (excepting the bits on the muzzle, those stay short)
💫 2: > Blotches - Youth
It looks like sores, but it's just little dots of the accent color appearing on the face. Scaled keke may try and pick off the affected scales, but this isn't a great idea, please don't pull scales out of things
💫 3: > Chubby - Youth
Maybe one day, this'll convert into a fae morph's figure. Until then, you've got a bit of a belly going on. Note that this shouldn't be a dramatic change - just noticeable. Can be on the torso, naga tail, or both

A brown Plumie with a mane of feathers running from neck to tail tipA dull purple keke happily displaying rounded downy feathers on their ears, mane, and tail tuftA grey tail tuft with pale blue accents and white swirls. The feaths form a fat fan shape

💫 1: > Dorsal feathers - Plumie/Glowis Maxima only - Youth
A line of feathers connecting the mane to the tail tip
💫 2: > Downy plumage - Plumie/Glowis Maxima only - Youth
In place of large, long feathers, the keke grows small and soft plumage. Not really enough of a difference to keep a Plumie grounded. They're sure to be warm, though!
💫 3: > Fan tail - Plumie only - Youth
The tail tip feathers flatten out into a fan shape rather than a tuft

A cream Plumie very happily displaying their cockatoo-like head crestTwo Plumies with keratin on their faces. The left one has a lot - it runs up to their eyes. The right one's is much more minimalA blue keke with some missing attached teeth

💫 1: > Feather crest - Plumie/Glowis Maxima only - Youth
The mane extends to the head where it forms a feathery crest. May be raisable or stationary
💫 2: > Keratin formations - Youth
Keratin covering the tip of the upper and/or lower jaw. Alternately, may coat the entire muzzle up to the eyes, but no further. Must be smooth, not shaped
💫 3: > Missing teeth - Youth
The teeth attached to your face are falling out again.... Hopefully they all grow back

A green Plumie wing. There's a white, bird-like hand with black talons at the

💫 1: > Talons - Youth
Grabby bird-like talons on the 'wrist' joints of wings. Can have 1-4 fingers, but cannot have a thumb unless upgraded otherwise

🌿 Adult 🌿A very long adult Plumie flying in a loop. They have the cygnest morph

🍃 None of those regular adult morphs will do. They don't have wings, silly! Plumie Snakekeys have three of their very own morphs exclusive to their subspecies: roostling, cygnest, and broodlett
🍃 Adults tend to have a knack for finding keke lost and in need of help. All it takes is one simple bread to employ your brand new wing friend : )
🍃 Most Plumies float around civilization rather than participating in it. They can gather everything they need to survive from their habitat, so they don't often worry about this paper star and job stuff
🍃 It's rumored that if you give a Plumie a snack, it'll bring you back a gift! While not confirmed, it is something most Plumies teach their young to do
