👑 Frilled Wistul Creation

Jump to: Puppy, Guppy

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of PC must be obtained through an event or something similar. They are not open to make unless you've earned one!
🌱 Generally speaking, when playing a PC, replace "Snakekey" and "keke" with "PC" where applicable. For example, one of the creation rules reads: A keke must be created at the hatchling phase. Since you're not using a keke, you'd read this as: A PC must be created in the hatchling (/puppy) phase. Granted, this won't work or make perfect sense with all rules, but it should be enough to get by
🌱 Unlike Crestuls, Frilltuls can earn Snakekey upgrades at the regular price

🍃 Frilled Wistul babies, aka "crowned puppies", are obviously named for their ear frills that connect around the whole head. Regardless of how small they are, they'll often try to menace you with it
🍃 Spawn are typically born in pools fiercely guarded by several adults. They're pretty safe in there. So safe, even, that you might see the little pups getting cocky and hissing at you alongside their guardians
🍃 Like other Tuls, Frills are fully capable of swimming just fine as soon as they emerge from their mud hills
🍃 Hillspawn are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Puppy 🌿Frilled_Wistul_puppy.png

🍃 Unlike many keke-likes with belly scales, Frilltuls have a unique mouth color! They often use this to scare away would-be attackers by flashing the supposedly shocking colors. Puppies tend to overuse this. Thankfully, you're probably not scared. (Right?)
🍃 Like base Wistuls, Frills are fully aquatic as babies. They emerge in water and will need to stay there until they grow up. Their wet skin sometimes sparkles prettily in the light
🍃 Frills have a notoriously bad temper. They're like... chihuahuas with righteous anger. You're pretty sure this little thing can't take you on... but it's so confident...
🍃 The Tul's ears are fused into one big "crown" spanning their whole heads and attaching to the sides of their necks. This aids in communication, scaring things, and -later- attracting a mate. Big fins are pretty fins!
🍃 As the underdeveloped legs are practically useless for swimming, puppies have a rippling fin along their spines and plumy fins on the tips of their relatively short tails
🍃 It'll later grow into another one of their many scare features, but for now, babies have an adorable little "nub tuft" atop their heads. They can flip this up and down, but it's too short to look like much yet
🍃 Puppies have tiny little teeth in those flashy mouths - and they're pointy...! Thankfully, they don't usually boast more than eight or so of them. Still... watch your paw beans
🍃 Frills' skin excretes a layer of mucus that they use to regulate their temperatures. This can either consistently keep them cool or keep them warm, but not both

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new PC. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here! Or use the base
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Wistul puppies' skin may appear shimmery in the light, though this is optional
🍂 3: Belly scales > One solid color that's the same color type as the base. For example, if your base is yellow, the scales would also need to be yellow!
🍂 4: Mouth > Pick one solid color. This also colors the tongue and blood
🍂 5: Teeth > Any one color for your tiny baby chompers : )
🍂 6: Eyes > Two colors. Pick one of any color you like for the irises. Pupils must be a black, but this isn't strict! It can be tinted a color fairly generously as long as it still looks like a black
🍂 7: Description > You're ready to post your PC! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply
🌱 Frilltuls have multiple age phases lumped into one. Once their guppy stage is approved, they are considered approved for young, youth, and adult phases!

🌿 Guppy 🌿ddz52dq-a5d1d8ce-8530-4930-957d-a094ee2c

🍃 Adult Tuls aren't particularly well-guarded against attacks, but they take on the role of acting like it to confuse would-be problems. Many creatures would rather go after something that's going to play nice and run away rather than whatever the heck that... spitting and flaring thing is
🍃 Instead of losing their puppy swimming fins, Frills retain them (even though their tails shrink away to nothing...!) They grow larger than they do on babies and are used for many things. Fancier fins and nubs are generally more attractive to most Tuls. Extending them can help regulate excess heat while pinning them to the body can help retain it. They give a nice boost to their swimming abilities, too
🍃 Being amphibious, Frills much prefer to keep themselves near a source of water to not feel dried out and icky. That doesn't mean you won't find them out in the middle of nowhere, but it decreases the chances
🍃 Adults lose the shimmery skin that pups can have, becoming matte by default. They don't need the extra flashiness, let's all be honest
🍃 While guppies are no longer fully aquatic, they can hold their breath for up to 30 minutes, which is more than some other Tul types
🍃 Along with their head nubs growing into a bird-like mobile crest, guppies also get some little nubs in their underarms and bigger ones on each side of their spine. The fin tail is accompanied by the longest nubs which may be used for whackin'. Frills will often slap the water with their tail nubs to express that they're ticked off
🍃 Frills have three fingers per foot and all of them are webbed to aid in navigating their typically marshy territories
🍃 Wistuls don't normally have teeth. While Frills are outliers with their little fangs, this also means that things haven't had a chance to get very impressive. They usually only have around 12-18 spaced out, unspecialized teeth
🍃 Pretty much all of the extra flaps of skin you see here can be flattened and raised to freak things out. This can get... pretty intense. Especially since a lot of Tuls will raise and lower different fins and nubs at different times. In their most hostile state, Frilltuls can look more like an undulating, ticked off mass. This also increases the chance of a predator who decides to go for it ending up chomping down on something entirely non-vital
🍃 Despite their aggressive temperament, Frilltuls are likely to live in groups with others they tolerate. Strength in numbers, after all. They may get into territorial squalls with those they have personal beef with, but most dangerous infighting doesn't benefit them. They're generally peaceful to other types of Tul that are smaller or less intelligent than them. Bigger types will get a pass too, provided they play nice

🌿 Guppy Creation 🌿Frilled_Wistul_Guppy_Aging_Guide.png

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your PC. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here! Or use the base
🍂 2: Base > PCs get their bases as babies - this step is done and you can move on! Be sure to remove baby shimmers if your Tul had them - they've grown out of them!
🍂 3: Color method > Choose  a coloring method. Keep in mind that "variations of your base color"  must appear to be in the same hue as the base. This means you can move  the color slider say, from light orange to dark orange, but do not touch  the slider you would use to change orange to blue much!
🌼 Method A: 0-3 variations of the base color
🌻 Method B: 1 variation of the base color, 2 of any color you like! Note that this method requires the use of 3 colors total
🍂 4: Design > Design  your PC with the colors you've chosen! Markings generally need to cover  a lot of area. This can mean they are large in size or are very long.  Smaller markings are okay as long as they're connected to a bigger  marking of the same color. Spots generally should be no smaller than the  entire hand and thin markings no shorter than arm's length. Do not use  gradients on designs
