🥔 Mudfin Creation

Jump to: Puppy, Guppy

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of PC must be obtained through an event or something similar. They are not open to make unless you've earned one!
🌱 Generally speaking, when playing a PC, replace "Snakekey" and "keke" with "PC" where applicable. For example, one of the creation rules reads: A keke must be created at the hatchling phase. Since you're not using a keke, you'd read this as: A PC must be created in the hatchling (/puppy) phase. Granted, this won't work or make perfect sense with all rules, but it should be enough to get by
🌱 Mudfins are technically from Susie, but may also be considered a Xavier species [🌏&🪐]

🌿 Hillspawn 🌿Muddy_puppy.png

🍃 Mudfin babies tend to be called "mud puppies" because it sounds cute! They're also generally dirtier due to hanging around in swampy areas, that too
🍃 Puppies are formed in mud rows akin to the way other Wistul pups are. Instead of just lying on top of them, though, Mudfin parents will expel a strange vapor from beneath their belly scales that kickstarts the life within
🍃 Unlike more developed Wistul-likes, Muffins are not aquatic. Babies have a natural floating instinct, but they cannot swim! Do not put in water...!!
🍃 Hillspawn are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Puppy 🌿Mudfin_puppy.png

🍃 Muffins are amphibious. Rather than having mucus that keeps their skin moist, they have to dampen themselves manually using mud and water. By nature, they'll be better at "hanging on" to one type of temperature, called their holding temperature. They're either better at staying cool or staying toasty
🍃 Little mudfins aren't the most active babies. They're very good at holding still and sitting in places that match their color palette. This generally keeps them from getting eaten, but can make them hard to find in the house...!
🍃 At this age, the ear muscles aren't strong enough to hold the ears aloft. Instead, they hang by the head as limp paddles
🍃 Mudfins have belly scales, though they're not as developed as the ones on Snakekeys. They're simple seams that otherwise blend in with the rest of the body. Each scale is softer towards the top, harder towards its end
🍃 Muffins have short legs and very nubby toes that are hardly there! They stand on their entire back foot, akin to the way bunnies do. Despite this, they don't hop around. They do have an infamous, badger-like waddle, though
🍃 Babies have tiny little tails that will grow longer with age. They also have a wide nose that connects to their upper lip like a cow or deer might have

🌿 Puppy Creation 🌿Mudfin_MYO_puppy_guide.png

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new PC. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here! The tongue can be rounded or two-bumped as is shown in the drawn creation guide ->
🍂 2: Base > Choose one brown color for your base. It can be any kind of brown, white, or cream. If desired, baby points can optionally be added. These must be one brown, white, or cream color and can go halfway up the muzzle, arms, and/or legs as gradients or blobs
🍂 3: Insides > One solid color. This majorly colors the Muffin's tongue, mouth, and blood
🍂 4: Eyes > Eyes can be any color, but only one. By default, Muffins do not have visible pupils.
🍂 5: Description > You're ready to post your PC! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply
🌱 Mudfins have multiple age phases lumped into one. Once their guppy stage is approved, they are considered approved for young, youth, and adult phases!

Mudfin_adult.png🌿 Guppy 🌿

🍃 The Mudfin is a relic of the Wistul evolutionary line that... for all intents and purposes, should not exist. In fact, they've gone extinct on Susie...! When Xilgenauts and company left Susie, they took some Muffin friends with them. This ensured the species would live on in comfort on Xavier. For Tul types, this is sort of like a neanderthal showing up, saying "sup", and then skateboarding down the street while using a cellphone. Disorienting. It's disorienting
🍃 Muffins were not originally as intelligent as they are now. But, thanks to a couple thousand more years of development, they're now a little above Crestuls in the thinkin' department
🍃 As opposed to Wistuls and Crestuls, Muffins aren't usually ones for sleeping most of the day. In their natural habitat, they'd move around less to preserve energy instead. Just hangin'. Like a bunch of frogs : ) Remnants of this habit still occasionally surface with Mudfins tending to "space out" with their whole body. They're also prone to hitching rides on beasts and people who don't seem to mind
🍃 Adult Muffins have longer, mobile ears, 1-6 little nubs on each cheek, and an elongated tail with a paddle both above and below it

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your PC. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > PCs get their bases as puppies/infants - this step is done and you can move on!
🍂 3: Color method > Choose a coloring method.
🌼Method A: Pick a white, cream, or brown to make large blotches atop the base color. Then, pick a second white, cream, or brown to draw circles inside the blotches. Circles can be wobbly or slightly broken if desired. Optionally, small freckles of the circle color can be floating around the circles (these doesn't have to stay on the blotches)
🌻Method B: Pick 0-1 white, cream, or brown to draw lines with rounded divots in them anywhere on the base. Each divot can optionally have 1-2 small "eye dots" in it. These are like some spider ball python morphs!
🍂 4: Description > You're ready to post your PC! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description. Note that your PC doesn't have to have an art type picked out yet. Don't worry about getting stuck with it either, it can be changed at any time
🍂 5: Submitting > Submit your finished image to the aging approval folder, which can be found here
