🐹 Scratty Creation

Jump to: Newborn, Adult

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of PC must be obtained through an event or something similar. They are not open to make unless you've earned one!
🌱 Generally speaking, when playing a PC, replace "Snakekey" and "keke" with "PC" where applicable. For example, one of the creation rules reads: A keke must be created at the hatchling phase. Since you're not using a keke, you'd read this as: A PC must be created in the hatchling (/puppy) phase. Granted, this won't work or make perfect sense with all rules, but it should be enough to get by
🌱 Scratties are a Xavierian species [🪐]

🌿 Infant 🌿A tiny Scratty infant curled into a ball and seen from above

🍃  Scratty babies are called "chubby infants" for their incredible round shape. They oft look like colorful cotton balls!
🍃 While they'd be just fine to sit around in a nest somewhere, Scratty infants have a very good grip that allows them to travel around with their parent(s) by hanging onto their mane! Babies tend to enjoy going on walks and learning about the world around them from the comfort of a big, fluffy mane
🍃 It's a common meme among guardians or parents of tiny Scratties to use them as hair accessories or living brooches. Many, many Scratty parents will have The Picture™ with them laughingly wearing their babies
🍃 Infants are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Newborn 🌿A newborn Scratty sitting and smiling

🍃 The Scratty is a genetic hybrid created by Skyblue Institute. Their genome consists of rodent traits combined with those of Snakekeys. The result is a peculiar little beast about the size of a hamster, but just as intelligent as keke
🍃 Scratties can't speak the keke language without upgrades due to not having the correct vocal cords for it, but there's always cheek pouch communication. In lieu of that, many learn to write or use AAC devices
🍃 Even though they're covered in fur, Scratties still have a blood type like Snakekeys do. This is slightly less noticeable than it is in keke. Due to their fuzzy coats, Scratties have to make fewer lifestyle adaptations then cold-blooded than keke do
🍃 Scratties only have two teeth in the form of attached upper fangs (in newborns, these are very nubby and sweet). This sees them swallowing much of their food whole or otherwise using keke-like methods of eating (such as eating scrolls)
🍃 To help them escape from predators, young Scratties have longer tails. They can shed about half of their tail in the event that it's grabbed, but, unlike animals such as gerbils, they can do it by choice! Parents often have to constantly remind babies not to shed their tail just for the funnies. They only get one and they might need it, for pity's sake...!
🍃 Scratties have a long, particularly floofy mane running from their foreheads to about mid-tail. In babies, this is extra soft and wispy - a delight to pet
🍃 The slit nostrils of the Scratty appear to be attached to their upper lip (not unlike a cow or deer, minus the wet nose pad). They have small, rounded ears and very chubby looking bodies. Half of this is body structure, half of it is fur. So... they will look quite silly when wet. They have unretractable claws, but only on their hind feet used for digging, climbing, and traction. They have paw pads very similar to keke, though their central pad is bean-shaped instead of an oval

🌿 Newborn Creation 🌿The image guide for creating newborn Scratties

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new PC. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here!
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Newborns don't have markings yet. Optionally, you can add one additional color to the mane in a gradient (or a blob if you can't do gradients)
🍂 3: Accents > One solid color. This goes on the tongue, mouth, paw pads, and blood
🍂 4: Eyes > Pick two colors, one for the irises and another for the pupils. Both colors should be the same type (eg, green irises for green pupils) and both eyes must match
🍂 5: Description > You're ready to post your PC! Please be sure to locate the form below, fill it out, and put it in the description
🍂 6: Submitting > Submit your finished MYO to the approval folder, which can be found here

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply
🌱 Cattlepede young, youth, and adult phases are lumped together into one for approvals. Once their adult is approved, their young and youth is approved as well!

🌿 Adult 🌿

An adult Scratty standing and looking a little concerned

🍃 Once they pass the newborn phase, a Scratty will have reabsorbed most of their long, youthful tail - if they didn't drop it already, that is. In some cases, they may retain a few droppable vertebrae at the very tip of their tail, but these are functionally nigh useless. They might not even know they have the ability anymore!
🍃 Scratties do a bit of growing into their large manes, but not very much. The fluff may appear less gratuitous, but will still most certainly be there
🍃 An older Scratty will have more pointy fangs than they did in their childhood. As they don't have seamless mouths, these will always be visible
🍃 Scratties tend to get very offended if their intelligence is undermined due to them being a fuzzy little rodent. They're often quick to take action for their rights if not appeased. So play nice!

🌿 Adult Creation 🌿The image guide for designing adult Scratties

🍂 1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your PC, choosing their caste in the process. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples for whichever one you end up picking!
🍂 2: Base > PCs get their bases as newborns - this step is done and you can move on! If you don't want to add a design to your Scratty, you can skip down to step 5 : )
🍂 3: Spots > Pick one of any color you like and use it to add large blobs to the sides. Blobs can be slightly shaped, but shouldn't be too complex! For example: vague hearts would be fine, Celtic knots would not
🍂 4: Outline > Pick one solid color and use it to outline all of your side-blobs. This color can also be used to add small freckles anywhere across the design in any amount. Freckles that are placed inside side-blobs can have slightly more shape to them than those placed outside (this is intended to replicate the markings of some ball pythons!)

🍂 6: Submitting > Submit your finished image to the aging approval folder, which can be found here
