Berserker form
Monsters are well known for their powerful berserker forms. Berserker forms are a stronger and sometimes larger version of the original chowling their design, some things about their design may change when turning into this form but most of it should stay the same. The way a berserker form looks varies per Chowling and each form is unique to each indivual while still sharing some similiar traits.

Guidelines monster Chowlings.
  • The berserker design cannot change in color and needs to follow the same colors and markings as the original design.
  • You can exaggerate existing traits on your Chowling when they turn berserk such as claws, horns, teeth, eyes, etc.
  • Body horror and gore berserker forms are not allowed BUT you can add more limbs (heads, arms, legs, tails) when your Chowling turns berserk, if your Chowling already had some body horror attributes they CAN be implemented but not the same was as parasites (see reference below)
  • Traits can be added when a Chowling goes berserk but make sure they still fall within the trait guidelines.
  • Make sure your Chowling their berserk still represents the Chowling species anatomy.
  • A Chowling can grow 4 times it's original size when going berserk MAX. and they cannot shrink from their original size when berserk.
  • The image on the right is a correctly designed berserker form, it still respects the original design of the Chowling but some of their features got exaggerated + they grew scales which is a legal Chowling trait.

13.pngBerserker vs. body distortion
The most commonly asked question about berserkers is what sets them apart from the parasite ability called "body distortion". Berserkers, like mentioned above are exaggerated buffed forms of a Chowling, but how much can you exaggerate such a form without breaking design rules? The main thing that sets these 2 apart is that berserkers are bound to Chowling anatomy rules, while body distortion can make your Chowling look like ANYTHING. When designing a berserker Chowling that also happens to already have body horror as part of their design its important to keep true to what the trait already looked like in their original form. Of course you have some wiggle room to exaggerate the trait but it should still look like the original trait and not something new.

Another notable thing about body distortion is that it can change the whole character ranging from their palette, to their traits and anatomy which can't be done for berserker forms. Body distortion forms are supposed to be a form that alters the characters bodies, even beyond recongition sometimes.
