Regions

The Candlin world consists of four major regions, as well as multiple subregions.

Major Regions

Y'Vaelsahm
The main hub of the Candlin world where all Candlins are created. Y'Vaelsahm consists of the Furnace along with it's surrounding villages and is located in the heart of gentle forests. It's embedded with sparkling rivers and scenic waterfalls...a quiet, albeit crowded, haven.

Daeshuryn
Soft and serene plains, home to scattered farmlands and vast fields of wildflowers. Candlins who wish for a calm and easy life often choose to live on the wind-kissed lands of Daeshuryn. Those who live here are renowned for their warmth and kindness. Though some are alarmed by being out in the open, this is said to be one of the safest regions.

Ta'en Maishe
Snowy mountaintops, the bottom of which are covered with wild forests. Life in Ta'en Maishe is often difficult, so the Candlins who live in this region are typically honest and hardworking. To the Candlins who wish to discover other worlds, the top of the tallest mountain, Angrii'Sal, is their destination.

Phas Cehda
'Paradise' beaches and the mysterious raging sea. The curious and the brave are often lured by it's untouched beauty, but the deep blue seas are treacherous and often lead to the demise of many an arrogant or careless Candlin. Those who live here are usually wise and distant...believing that, if they treat her right, Phas Cehda will be a home unlike any other.

Subregions

Hetia Ou'lankha
Recently discovered by the brave seafarers of Phas Cehda who set sail and accidentally found this desert island southward. With massive ever shifting golden sand dunes and scorching heat, only the bravest even think to visit, let alone risk the trip to make it to the island. Those who choose to live here must become a night owl, as the only way to avoid melting under the desert sun is to stay under shelter during the day. Despite this, there is a strong sense of community here. Candlins who call this island their home are typically keen and compassionate. Rich with cave systems and precious gems aplenty, exploration of Hetia Ou'lankha is high risk high reward.

Solaryn Ur
A massive canyon lines the northeastern most side of Candlin territory, blocking progress in moving that direction from both Y'Vaelsahm and Ta'en Maishe. Any and all attempts to cross have ended in catastrophic failure, as the gap is too wide and the depths far too deep. Candlins with sharp eyes atop Ta'en Maishe's mountains however have caught sight of something beyond the chasm...a deep orange light in the dead of night, northeast of Y'Vaelsahm. Since the first sighting, it is always there, a landmark far as far can be.
Beyond the uncrossable gap lies a land of extreme heat. Magma vents dot the landscape, with a half collapsed volcano at the crown. Such unceasingly high temperatures would be an impossible environment for a Candlin to make home, let alone survive in...but even so, the Candlins at Ta'en Maishe have taken to calling the red land beyond Solaryn Ur.

Æternalis
Found far far west of Ta'en Maishe's deep forests lie a massive crater, the fractured meteor as well as fragments of the land itself defy the laws of gravity and float in the air, locked at the moment of impact, blocking out the sun in a permanent state of dusk. It is within this crater that the discoverers claimed a new region.
AEternalis is home to countless floating islands both large and small, connected by wood and rope suspension bridges that took many months to construct safely. Gravity here is strange and significantly lighter than anywhere else, allowing for relatively safe traversal across the levitating lands. Even so, falling is still a large risk for those who visit, and it is even more dangerous for Candlins with fragile or no bases. Despite the risk, the otherworldly serene beauty of this land trapped in time, glittering with shards of fallen stars and the glowing crystalline or sparkling metallic flora itself is more than enough to entice certain Candlins to make AEternalis their home. Candlins who call Æternalis home are often quiet and distant, though they are no strangers to cooperation when a bridge or home requires maintanence.
