Altarians are a human made race. They were made from human DNA to be more physically superior however they are seen as less than human. They live in a futuristic Victorian era ( sort of like Cyberpunk + Victorian). They are owned by humans and require paper work for proof of ownership. They are typically used as soldiers or servants by those with enough money to obtain one. Although controversial, there are loop holes to officially remove the need for paper work for an individual so that they will be considered as their own entity rather than a possession.
They have been modified in the following ways:
-Slightly pointed ears that can point in different directions for better hearing.
-Long tail (with tuft of hair at the end like a lion) for balance.
-Digitigrade feet with opposable big toes.
-Claws.
