✦ Getting Started with Ouroboros Lock
Ouroboros Lock- AKA OuroLo- is a collection of stories all taking place on the planet Karserus. These stories are in a semi-medieval setting, with a hefty mix of modern technology. Magic, AKA arcana, is common and wide-spread. Check out our lore pages for much more information!
Lots of themes and settings are easy to adapt to OuroLo. Stories can include high fantasy, nautical adventures, simple life, paranormal hunting, school-life, and many more are possible in this world. If you have an idea but aren't too sure if it will work out, feel free to ask!
The Planet ✦
Karserus is a medium sized planet- a bit smaller than Earth- that has an ancient metal ring around the equator. This large metal ring is referred to as a belt, and this belt chains the planet's sun and main moon to the planet, making them unable to orbit.
The lack of orbiting sun and moon creates a phenomenon where there is no day or night cycle, and there are very distinct climates depending on if you're closer to the side with the moon or the side with the sun. The closer to the chains, the less habitable the area becomes. The majority of the planet is land.
✦ The Story
Ouroboros Lock follows Dabriian, Clover, Saphrael, and Mewtley, who are currently under the employment of Trekca- the deity of balance and order- to restore his dismembered body to it’s former godly state. However, while the four unlikely friends are retrieving the stolen pieces of this divine cadaver, they are unknowingly being interwoven into a much more sinister plot.
The party will face lots of danger and excitement on their adventures, frequently having to fight to obtain their goal.
This story will be two arcs, each seven chapters each, with an additional prologue chapter to preface the story. In addition to this, there is a short story detailing Mewtley's backstory, as well as plans for a visual novel that will showcase Dabriian's backstory. This visual novel is planned to be released in between arcs one and two.

When making a character, here are some things that you'll need to consider: name, race/species, if they use arcana, if they worship the deities and/or which ones, what they do in the world, their character alignment, what part of the world they live in, and other important character details!
