The Ascendants

Also referred to as Ascendees, Ascended, or—in a casual context—Ascenders. Every 999 years, twelve individuals are chosen to be the Jade Emperor’s ambassadors and are given a Jade Core. It is the Ascended’s duty to use this gift of concentrated qi to carry out the Jade Emperor’s decree.

The 10th Generation

In lieu of the 9th generation's sudden disappearance, these new Ascendants have taken up the mantle. Some may consider them continuations of the 9th cycle; others may regard them as a new 10th cycle. They are by far the most diverse and curious of recent Ascension line-ups.
