World for my space-faring characters.
Home: Earth-like planet at the heart of the Galaxy. Has many orbital cities and is where most for-hire ships go to rest.
Naiade: Prospecting Ship-For-Hire and the home of main character, Pockets.
Ironclad: Military regime made of giant cyborg super-soldiers made to take over or destroy planets. An Ironclad has an organic heart, brain (partial), and outer organs (skin, eyes, etc). They require "recharging" through ports in the neck. Present day world sees this regime disbanded and defectors are hunted down by a special ops team from Home government. The regime is still active in an underground aspect in hopes to rise up again.
For-Hire ship culture sees no questions asked and all crew go by one-word names to promote both a closeness to members and protection of privacy.
