All slots expire on 9/2, so if you have a slot, you still have two months to work on making the Caffae of the summer!

Discord Emoji Contest Reminder!

During the period of the Summer MYO Event, you can submit art of Discord emojis made with yours or others' Caffaes.

You can either post entries in the dedicated channel on the Discord server, or link them in the comments of this bulletin!

The contest will last until 9/2/2023, after which a period of voting will take place. We'll then declare the winners in October's bulletin!

The top 3 emojis will be added to the Discord server, and the winners will receive one Black Market MYO of their choice as their prize.

Each Friday, we'll set up a raffle for the weekend that will end on Sunday, with various prizes!

Artfight Bonus!

Artfight takes place during the month of July, and so, we'll be granting a 500 Golden Bean bonus if you submit any Artfight works for Caffaes during the month.

With the spooky Vampires vs. Werewolves theme, we're sure there's a lot of fun to be had this Artfight season!

Today, 6/2/2023 is the final day to submit any last-minute requests for approval! All MYO slots that have not been submitted for approval or to be marked as WIP have been expired.

Summer MYO Event!

We have an MYO event out, right in a special thread for the occasion!
The thread link is here!

From now until the end of June, you will be able to claim a special MYO slot for the summer!

Claiming in the thread will allow you the ability to design a Caffae or Decaff with traits up to Rare, as well as being able to select one of the two Event-Only Traits to attach to it.

You can also upgrade your slot to Super-Rare by sharing the bulletin and joining the Discord, and adding Legendary traits by tagging friends (up to 3).

You will be given an MYO number, but watch out -- these special slot numbers will expire on September 2nd!

Event-Only Traits!

With the new MYO Event, two new Event-Only Traits are available!

• Swimsuit Catalyst (catalyst): Easy to cover up and protect, while also having the potential to make waves at the beach!
• Celestial Halo (non-exclusive visual trait): Put a gallery of stars in your halo or as a halo, and bedazzle the crowd! Constellations and nebulas can be added into these halos as well.

• The Pre-Summer Hype: Younger household members are talking about their summer plans in the meantime! Do you dream of the sand, or dream of peace and quiet?

The Black Market has been in a quiet hubbub for a couple of months, and it seems the twins are ready to show their latest product.

Have you found a lack of time during a MYO Event, and haven't had the chance to request it be marked as a WIP? Did you wish to give your MYO to a friend, but knew it would expire too soon to be useful? Fear no more!

Introducing the Renewal Shot!

For the price of a Common MYO, you can permanently renew your Event MYO without any other changes. All traits will be retained, but it is now yours to use as you please, when you please!

We've gone ahead and fixed some items within the Lore/Traits page.

• Squirrels have been moved into Rodents, and Rodents have been shifted into Uncommon from Rare.
• All items in the Visual Traits that were in the images have now also been moved into text.
• We also fixed some broken images in the add-ins page.

Hopefully, everything looks a lot better!

We have a new Spring MYO Event that also celebrates the anniversary of the Caffae species!

From now until the end of March, you will be able to claim a special MYO slot for the spring season! Thread located here!

Living Catalyst / Familiar (catalyst): Whether it be a small creature or a homeowner's housepet, this catalyst can be rather finicky or your best friend, but that's just a pet's personality!

Living Limb (visual trait): One of your limbs can now actually talk to you, and perhaps even move around of its own accord.

The new trait is the Cupid's Wings Catalyst! Whether you want to signal your matchmaking intent, or just want even more wings to preen and show off, this might be the pair for you!

To go along with the new Event-Only Trait, we have also prepared several new traits!

• Porcelain Prosthetics (Uncommon visual trait): While not as flexible as some other prosthetics, this type can be customized and painted on!
• Regarding elytron (a notice in the visual traits section): For the insect-like wings trait, elytron (a protective shell over the wings) can be added for free; for other types of wings, this can be added on as an Uncommon trait.
• Cafe Lagrima (Rare coffee type): A reversed macchiato, this drink is a cup of milk with a dose of espresso.
• Guillermo (Rare coffee type): Pouring espresso over limes results in a drink with quite the pop!
• Grand French Coffee (Legendary coffee type): Made with Grand Marnier and coffee, and topped with whipped cream, this coffee is known for being quite strong due to being a black coffee, but the whipped cream helps to take the edge off.
• Caffè Corretto (Legendary coffee type): An Italian coffee that uses certain alcohol (usually grappa, but sometimes sambuca or brandy) and a shot of espresso.
• Calypso coffee (Legendary coffee type): A mix of coffee, coffee liquer, dark rum, and cream, this drink is sure to make a splash!

We have three new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• Punxsutawney: February 2nd is Groundhog Day, when a groundhog seeing its shadow could mean winter ending early or lasting another six weeks. It's an odd little tradition, but humans are sort of odd, aren't they?
• What a Beautiful Wedding: February is National Wedding Month, so perhaps there's a bit of hubbub. Finding an appropriate outfit in one's closet could cause more work at night, but it also leaves behind opportunities to take the house for yourself for a while...
• A Bit of Kindness: Random Acts of Kindness Day is on February 17th, so whether you're giving acts of kindness on that day, or find such a day silly because you already do random acts of kindness, there's still reason to talk about it.

New Black Market Items!

The twins have been very excited, causing quite the stir in our black market, but finally, it's time to reveal their newest items!

Introducing...the Gambler's MYO!
Coming in three tiers: Mini, Standard, and Deluxe!

These special MYOs begin with a Common MYO, but also have Gacha Packs attached to them depending on their tier, in order to roll for traits or even MYO Boosters.

All other items within the gacha will be ignored in favor of Traits and MYO Boosters when purchasing this slot.

All traits equal to or below the boosted rarity will be given separately; MYO Boosters will also only take the slot to Legendary, so if you get especially lucky, it's practically a steal!

Event-Only Traits

We have one new Event-Only Traits to celebrate the new year!

The new trait is the Firework Catalyst! Perfect to start your year with a bang, as well as disturb the neighbors.

To go along with the new Event-Only Trait, we have also prepared several new traits!

• Glass Prosthetics (Rare visual trait): A delicate material, there are many options that can be done with this type of prosthetic. You can turn your limb into an art piece!
• Decaff spikes replacing kemonomimi horns (Super-Rare visual trait, Decaff-exclusive): Some Decaffs enjoy being more at one with their kemonomimi, resulting in this trait being born.
• Caffe Gommosa (Rare coffee type): The methods to make this coffee are simple: pour coffee over a marshmallow. Or several marshmallows, we're not picky about that!
• Einspänner (Rare coffee type): This double shot of espresso paired with a layer of whipped cream allows for quite a lot of flexibility!
• Qishr Coffee (Super-Rare coffee type): A Yemeni coffee made with spiced coffee husks, ginger, and sometimes cinnamon.
• Liquid Smoke (Super-Rare liquid add-in): While more commonly used for barbecue, sometimes the more foresty taste complements the coffee very well.

• Yule Log Catalyst (Event-Only catalyst): This special log can be burned many times, but some Caffaes take great pride in having an unburned Yule Log catalyst.
• Menorah Catalyst (Event-Only catalyst): The Caffaes with this catalyst, on the other hand, consider it a great honor to use its candles for Hanukkah.
• Christmas Wreath Halo (Event-Only visual trait): You can arrange this wreath as you please, but some Caffaes prefer to keep it seasonal, while others go for a more eccentric route.

• Candle Catalyst (Common catalyst): To light a way in the dark, sometimes a candle is the only thing needed.
• Torch Catalyst (Uncommon catalyst): Caffaes with this catalyst may fancy themselves as adventurers when going into darker rooms.
• Flashlight Catalyst (Uncommon catalyst): Not only is this good for ghost stories, but it allows your Caffae to control the lighting better.
• Multiple Catalysts (Adopt-Only catalyst): By popular demand, it's time to face the facts: this trait is all about quantity! Duplicate your catalyst once, twice, ten times!
• Eggnog (Uncommon add-in): Some say it's cream with extra steps; either way, it's a very good addition for your holiday brews!
• Holy Lamb (Adopt-Only kemonomimi): With a large non-bean halo, and a default "base" kemonomimi of a lamb, this kemonomimi is said to be a step up from the angel add-ons.

We have two new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• Family Gatherings: Whether your Caffae or their household is having a gathering, this can sometimes affect everyone in a home just as much.
• To Give Good Tidings: Good tidings is, essentially, good news! What good news has transpired for your Caffae or their friends? Tell us about it!

Autumn MYO Event Progress!

One month remains to complete your event MYOs! Until December 1st, your MYO from the Autumn Event will be active.

You can also submit a WIP of your MYO's design before December 1st and finish it up after the deadline, that way we know your MYO is still active.

A New Event-Only Trait

Introducing a new Event-Only Trait: the Cornucopia catalyst!

Also known as the "horn of plenty", this catalyst is a perfect symbol of abundance and nourishment. It also makes for a handy basket if you want to transport items.

While commonly associated with Thanksgiving, it was traditionally used in west Asia and Europe to carry the fruits of the harvest.

• Extra pupils (Decaff-exclusive visual trait): It seems Halloween hasn't ended quite yet! You can either keep these all in different eyes, or in the same eyes.
• Extra irises (Decaff-exclusive visual trait): Like the extra pupils trait, you can either keep these all in different eyes, or in the same eyes.

Prompts: Lending an Ear and NaNoWriMo!

We have two new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• Lending an Ear: The day after Thanksgiving is a day typically known as a family day. Maybe your Caffaes have gathered after the homeowners' holiday has finally ended?
• NaNoWriMo: Otherwise known as National Novel Writing Month, the challenge is to write 50,000 words during the month. Are you partaking? Or maybe your Caffae is partaking!

A New Event-Only Trait

Introducing a new Visual Trait: Amalgamations / Merged Caffaes!

With this new trait, you can use several MYOs to create a being made from several Caffaes. While you need to use a MYO for each Caffae, you only need one Event-Only Trait to use the Merged Caffaes trait.

Got some leftover MYOs you want to use, but aren't sure how to use them? Throw them all together with this trait, and go wild!

• Cephalopods (Rare kemonomimi): With the extra limbs and flexibility that tentacles offer, it's sure to come in handy!
• Illithids / mind flayers (Legendary Decaff-exclusive kemonomimi): It's said that these Caffaes developed the ability to consume brains in an attempt to seek forbidden knowledge, but...that's just a story, right?
• Cthulhu (Adopt-Only kemonomimi): More powerful than their illithid cousins, but more prone to delivering madness to those around them, Caffaes with this kemonomimi are often the stuff of nightmares.

Prompts: Spectral Evidence
and Taking a Mulligan!

We have two new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• Spectral Evidence: October 12th is Freethought Day, but also the day a life-saving letter was written during the events of the Salem Witch Trials, forbidding the admission of "spectral evidence". Investigating a ghost does require some proof of its existence, though, and sometimes the spectral is better than nothing...
• Taking a Mulligan: The biggest mistakes can't be prevented, but you can at least take a do-over for the smaller ones.
