Additions to the Shop and Black Market

Because variety is the spice of life!

With new members aiming to make more Caffaes, new items have been made for both the store and the black market to expand the options you can have for your Caffaes!

For the store:

• Adopt-Only Traits: Previously reserved for raffles, these traits can now be bought!
• Event-Only Traits: When bought, these individual traits can be used for past traits, or reserved for future traits.
• Crème de la Caffae: This special item can be used to add a Caffae-exclusive visual trait or kemonomimi trait to a Decaff!
• MYO Booster: You can use this item to boost a MYO to the next tier of rarity!

For the black market:

• A Momentous MYO: This special MYO is a Legendary slot with an Adopt-Only Trait and an Event-Only Trait.
• Stock Refresh: The options for MYOs have been shifted, and the stock replenished!

Trait Releases

New traits are out this month, thanks to suggestions from the community!

• Primates (Adopt-Only kemonomimi): If you don't mind a bit of extra fur, this kemonomimi is perfect if you want to monkey around! Includes monkeys, lemurs, gorillas, etc.
• Harpy (Legendary Decaff-exclusive kemonomimi): With the replacement of arms in exchange for wings, these Decaffs have to get creative with their magic.
• Mephitidae (Uncommon kemonomimi): It might be a bit smelly, but this kemonomimi allows you to make skunks and stink badgers!
• Ankle Wings (Super-Rare visual trait): While fitting these wings into boots is impossible, they look great, right?
• Mismatching Limbs (Legendary visual trait): Sometimes, your arm just happens to be made out of coffee, or beans, or a chainsaw. It happens!
• Unnatural Skin Colors (Adopt-Only visual trait): You ever just want to be bright pink? Or blue? What about sea green?
• Charcoal Powder (Legendary add-in): This won't make your coffee too flammable. Maybe.
• Embedded Catalysts (Adopt-Only catalyst): Now, you can put your catalyst into a sword! Or a motorcycle! Or a crown!

We hope the menagerie of traits presented here are just as enjoyable for you to use as they were for me to write the descriptions of.

MYO Raffles

What do you mean we did this in September already? Shhhhh.

With a large number of traits in the Donation Shelf, we'll be re-distributing them as MYO slots in the form of raffles!

These MYOs will be started on Friday evenings and ending on that Sunday evening. Winner numbers will vary as below!

• November 5th: 10 winners will receive an Uncommon MYO!
• November 12th: 7 winners will receive a Rare MYO!
• November 19th: 5 winners will receive a Super-Rare MYO!
• November 26th: 3 winners will receive a Legendary MYO!

Costume Contest

Get your fanciest, spookiest, and coolest costumes ready!

Starting October 1st, you can submit your Caffaes within Halloween costumes! You can choose to link them to this bulletin's comments, or submit them in the appropriate channel on the Discord server.

On October 24th, we will run a vote to see whose costumes are the best, and announce the winners on October 31st.

3 winners will receive a Legendary MYO slot with an Event-Only Trait of their choice from this month's selection!

Prompts:

Get into the spirit of the season as you join the spirits of the season!

There's not only one prompt, but three prompts you can partake in during the Halloween season! Each prompt gives an additional 300 Golden Beans upon submitting a claim.

The prompts are:

• Costumes: Selecting a costume, trying costumes on, making costumes, showing them off...
• Trick-or-Treating: Gathering your friends for trick or treating, for that special night in which Caffaes can roam and not be speculated upon...
• Spooky Places: Some Caffaes may enjoy the season for other reasons, such as scaring their fellows or enhancing the experience for humans!

Event-Only Traits

We have several new event-only traits, randomly selected with the purchase of any MYO slot during the month of October.

• Dullahan (add-on kemonomimi): With this kemonomimi, you can remove your head any time you please -- just don't lose it!
• Skullhead (add-on kemonomimi): Allowing your head to become a skull gives a lot of options. Human and animal-based skulls are usable for this trait!
• Crescent Moon Catalyst: At night, the moon is one's guide, so let this catalyst guide your magic as well!
• Jack-o-Lantern Catalyst: A memento of a grand Halloween night, this catalyst is guaranteed to make you twice as spooky!
• Skull-Shaped Catalyst: Useful as both a catalyst and a prop, this catalyst can be a human skull or an animal skull!

And those aren't the only traits that are appearing during this month!

Trait Releases

What's a Halloween without candy? Or traits designed to make your Caffae all the spookier (or cooler)?

• Animal-headed creatures/gods/etc. (Adopt-Only kemonomimi): Creatures from tales long gone are now options to use for your kemonomimi! The Minotaur is a good example of this trait in action.
• Extra mouths (Decaff-only visual traits, varying rarities): If you're feeling chatty, or enjoy biting things, this set of traits will certainly make the job easier!
• Coffee "bleeding" from eyes (Decaff-only visual traits): If you want to replicate certain horror movies' aesthetics, this is a good trait to start out with!
• Paw Feet (Rare visual trait): For those who like toe beans, or simply have trouble drawing human feet!
• Object-based Wings (Legendary visual trait): Go beyond decoration, and become a decoration yourself!
• Candy! (Add-ins, various rarities): From marshmallows to pocky to rock candy, there's all sorts of additional candies that you can add to your coffee!
• Jars (Catalysts, various rarities): From spice jars to mason jars to amphoras, customizing your catalyst has never been so fun (or functional)!

The Black Market

In addition to the current shop, we're also going to provide a black market with all sorts of options!

From slots with Adopt-Only traits to slots with a few pre-determined traits added, these MYO slots will be limited to a handful a month, so if you want them, make sure to get them before they're gone!

Halloween MYO Event

With an assortment of new traits, it's time to have a bit of fun.

We have an MYO event out, right in a special thread for the occasion!

Claiming in the thread will allow you the ability to design a Caffae or Decaff with traits up to Rare, as well as being able to select one of the Event-Only Traits for October to attach to it.

You can also upgrade your slot to Super-Rare by sharing the bulletin and joining the Discord, and adding Legendary traits by tagging friends (up to 3).

You will be given an MYO number if you post before 11/1, but watch out -- these special slot numbers will expire on 12/1!

Prompt: Autumn Leaves and Fall Memories

Playing in the leaves, wishing summer farewell, preparing for the winter ahead -- what will your Caffaes do?

During the month of September, you can earn Golden Beans by making art or written works of your Caffaes experiencing the autumn! Works made for the prompt will receive 300 Golden Beans in addition to their normal rewards.

Weekly Raffles

Each Thursday in September will present a chance to win MYO slots and special traits, all to show the community thanks for their support!

Five raffles will take place on our Discord server in September, starting on Thursdays and ending on Sundays. The prizes as such will be:

• September 2nd: 3 winners will receive a Rare MYO
• September 9th: 3 winners will receive a Super-Rare MYO
• September 16th: 3 winners will receive a Legendary MYO
• September 23rd: 2 winners will receive a Legendary MYO with an Event-Only trait attached
• September 30th: 1 winner will receive a Legendary MYO with an Event-Only trait attached and an Adopt-Only trait attached!

Event-Only traits can be used to add a trait from a past event, or you can wait until a future event to use the slot and the traits there.

Winners of one week will not be able to participate in the next week's raffle, for the interest of fairness in the community.

For example, winning the 2nd's raffle means you won't be able to participate in the 9th's, but you can participate in the 16th's.

Events Ending

With the end of the summer event, all MYOs that have not been granted extension requests will expire. Please let us know if you'd like more time, as we can grant you a two-week extension for your slot.

Our Summertime Fun prompt is also over, but as you'll see later on, we have a handful of new permanent prompts to help you earn more Golden Beans!

Finally, our GA adopts are still available to good homes!
With three adopts from boaaekin, a sweet red delight from StormHeart413, three adopts from Nik-L-Nips, and three adopts from Zero8426 -- there's plenty of options for you!

Economic Rebalancing

A one-time rebalance for the entire economy, including MYOs, traits, and Golden Beans.

In order to give a better balance between RL currency, Golden Beans, and the in-server Bean currency, we've made some adjustments to the various items that are present in the economy.

• MYOs: MYO prices have been adjusted from the original $1/$3/$5/$10/$20 to $5/$10/$15/$20/$25.
• Traits: The trait price for Legendary Traits has been adjusted from $10 to $7.
• Golden Beans: All Golden Bean scores have been adjusted, to give you more for your work!
• Rebalance Claim: Additionally, to compensate those who have submitted previously, a one-time Golden Bean distribution equal to the total of all previous claims will be given.
• Gacha Tickets: We're now opening up the allowance of purchasing MYO Gacha Tickets for RL currency and Golden Beans! We're also allowing purchases of these tickets through the forums, complete with a single-ticket item and a 5-pack item.

Permanent Golden Bean Prompts

Several new prompts designed to allow for some poking and prodding of your Caffaes, perhaps even leading to new insights...?

In addition to the rehauling of Golden Bean rates, we're also introducing new permanent prompts to allow you to earn more Golden Beans, even outside of times where there would be event prompts.

The higher your piece's score has in the Shots or Writing categories, the higher the amount of Golden Beans that you'll earn for the prompt!

With a month into our summer events, we've had quite the turnout of people arriving for the MYO event! All slots last until August 1st, so make sure to design your slot before then.
If you need more time with your slot, let us know! We can give you an extension.

Alongside the MYO event, if you'd like to play with more traits, you can receive a random event-only trait upon purchasing an MYO!

During this month, you can earn extra Golden Beans by participating in our prompt: Summertime Fun! You can also earn extra beans for art of our mascots, Maxim and Anubis!

Our guest artists have been releasing adopts throughout the month of June, and we'd love to see them go to loving homes!

A New NPC Appears!

The enigmatic head of gambling, the queen of the casino, the gentlewoman of the gacha, the "life" in the nightlife...
This lovely lady is designed by boaaekin!

Meet Audrey, the beautiful Caffae who heads all matters of gambling within the Caffae species. Interested in the risk and reward that comes with spending some Beans? Audrey is the Caffae for the task.

Nobody really knows where she came from, but she is said to be rather nomadic, going between several locations over the course of a year. It's said that her wealthy appearance is a direct result of Caffaes and Decaffs alike gambling for her wares, but...

...to have her attention is worth just as much as any item she has.

In addition to the current summer bonuses, you can claim extra Golden Beans by submitting art of Audrey for the month of July!

Like Maxim and Anubis, you'll receive 200 Golden Beans for the mascot/NPC bonus instead of the usual 100.

New Trait Releases!

Thanks to the community's input and suggestions,
we've brought forward a plethora of new traits for you!

• Viverroidea (Uncommon kemonomimi): Includes civets, fossa, hyenas, and mongooses!
• Mustelidae (Uncommon kemonomimi): Includes weasels, polecats, ferrets, stoats, minks, etc.!
• Gastropods (Uncommon kemonomimi): Includes snails, sea snails, slugs, etc.!
• Rodents (Rare kemonomimi): We've fused the rat and mice kemonomimi into a larger category! Rodents include mice, rats, jerboa, porcupines, beavers, etc.
• Platypus (Rare kemonomimi)
• Fusion kemonomimi (Legendary kemonomimi): Defined here as 2 species mixed together outside of existing kemonomimi fusions (i.e., jackalope), this allows you to further experiment with your Caffaes' kemonomimi!

What a blowout! There certainly won't be anything this big until October, but we are always open to hearing your suggestions!

New Lore and Trait Guide Coding!

With a gorgeous interface and new visuals, this new coding is here to help improve your experience in creating Caffaes!

We now have a new code by xenobicorn in place! The old coding has been replaced with a brand new interface.

No need to fret about going to a new location! We've simply cleaned up the thread and thus allowed a new, cleaner look.

Mascot Contest Winners!

We've had some great entries towards the naming contest, and are happy to announce the winners!

Our Caffae mascot has earned the name Maxim (he/him)!
His blend is Clover Mint Mocha; he's a calm, kindly sort, who can be rather cheeky at times.

Our Decaff mascot has earned the name Anubis (they/them)!
Their blend is Core of Honey; despite their intimidating demeanor, they try to ensure that those around them get what they deserve. Stay on their good side, and you have a close ally...

As for the events that caused them to drift apart?
Well, there's rumors that there was a run-down home that was bought by a politician, who began to remodel it. From the sounds of it, a number of other Caffaes lost their lives thanks to the work being performed, and when push came to shove...
Anubis couldn't stand by and do nothing.

Prompt: Summertime Fun!

Set your Caffaes free to some fun in the sun for extra Golden Beans!

During the months of June and July, you can earn extra Golden Beans for making art or writing pieces based on their Caffaes' summer activities!

Art made for the prompt will have their Shot and Writing scores doubled. For example, 1000-2000 Words/a Fullbody without any additions would both equal 200 Golden Beans.

Art involving Maxim and Anubis will also have their Golden Bean scores doubled, giving 200 Golden Beans for each mascot.

New Trait Releases!

Both event-only and permanent, it's time to make a real splash!

We have three new traits for the summer, randomly selected with the purchase of any MYO slot during the months of June and July.

• Aquarian (add-on kemonomimi): This special kemonomimi can walk on two legs or have a mermaid's tail like the existing Mermaid kemonomimi ... but also has an in-between form with legs and a tail, and can be added onto other kemonomimi!
• Star-Shaped Catalyst: For those starry nights or the starfish in the sea, you can count on this shaped catalyst to fill your summertime aesthetic with style!
• Seashell-Shaped Catalyst: If you want to take that mermaid aesthetic to its limits, you can use this catalyst to assist your efforts. A seashell telephone can never go wrong, right?

Meanwhile, there's a blowout of more permanent traits!

• Camelids (Uncommon kemonomimi): Including animals such as camels, llamas, and alpacas, these kemonomimi beat the heat in their own ways.
• Red Pandas (Rare kemonomimi): These rambunctious kemonomimi have all the energy they need for seaside fun!
• Fin-Based Wings (Super-Rare visual trait): A trait that's sure to go swimmingly with the new event-based traits, these wings can simulate fish fins in and out of water!
• Jewelry-based/Attached Catalysts (varied rarities): From rings to necklaces to pins and everything in between, these will liven up those starry nights with some glow of your own.

All of these are perfect for our next event...

Summer MYO Event!

Mascot Naming Contest!

We have a Caffae and a Decaff who seem to have known each other once, but things have grown distant. I wonder why?

We have two mascots, created by our mod StormHeart413 (who also created Penny, our lovely shopkeeper!), and the time has come to reveal them and perhaps give them a place in the world of Caffaes.

Submitting information for either the Caffae you see here or the Decaff seen below will earn you a Common MYO, with additional Uncommon Traits depending on the information given.

Information for both mascots will upgrade it to an Uncommon MYO with additional Rare Traits depending on information given.

All of the information submitted will be gathered and placed in a survey for voting, with the winners announced in our June Bulletin.

At that point, we will give out the prizes: Rare MYOs with additional Super-Rare Traits based on what information is being used for the mascots!

You can choose to enter in one of several ways:

• On Announcements: You can comment directly on this announcement on Toyhouse or DeviantArt.

Our first Event-Only trait is that of the egg-shaped catalyst, which is similar to the round orb except...egg-shaped! Great for anyone wanting to put an Eastery twist into their Caffae's look.

All MYOs purchased throughout the month of April will receive this trait for free. This trait will also be attached to MYOs given out as prizes for the other contests below.

Stocking the Caffae Coffee Shop!

A shop on Discord which takes the server's currency, Beans!
At the moment, there are only MYO slots and traits available.

We're looking for ways to expand the in-server shop, and your input could grant you a free MYO slot! MYOs won in this fashion have the egg-shaped catalyst trait attached.

• Suggestions: If taken, you'll be given a Rare MYO.
• Accessories, Items, etc.: If taken, you'll be given a Super-Rare MYO.
• Creating a base for accessories and items will instead give you a Legendary MYO!
• Anything further than the above (such as species pets) can be discussed with the admin.

• Your suggestions will be put up to vote first with the mods, then to the rest of the server through an announcement.
• You do not need a base when submitting your suggestions, but if you wish to make one, please have it ready by April 30th, 2021!
• Entries can be submitted until April 15th, 2021, and winners will be announced on May 1st, 2021, in our next bulletin.

A Special Raffle...?

Users on the Discord can enter a flash raffle on April 12th, 2021 in order to receive an Adopt-Only Trait!

This raffle will be set up on a bot, and will run for 24 hours, starting in the wee hours of the morning and ending the next morning.

The winner will have their Adopt-Only trait added to their inventory, which they can use for any Adopt-Only trait listed in the Trait Guides.
