The summer is easing closer and closer to its end, and so too does the time to prepare your summer event MYO!

All slots expire on 9/1, so there's still a few more days before your MYO is marked as expired!

If you're on the Discord server, you can submit your WIP Caffae and have the slot reserved as "WIP", so you can finish it later.

Autumn MYO Event!

We have an MYO event out, right in a special thread for the occasion!

From now until the end of September, you will be able to claim a special MYO slot for the fall!

Claiming in the thread will allow you the ability to design a Caffae or Decaff with traits up to Rare, as well as being able to select one of the three Event-Only Traits to attach to it.

You can also upgrade your slot to Super-Rare by sharing the bulletin and joining the Discord, and adding Legendary traits by tagging friends (up to 3).

You will be given an MYO number, but watch out -- these special slot numbers will expire on December 1st!

Event-Only Traits

We have three new Event-Only Traits, perfect for the event!

• Anatomy-Shaped Catalyst (Event-Only catalyst): You can make anatomically-accurate hearts, brains, and all the ins and outs of a human (or animal) body!
• Gorgon (Event-Only kemonomimi): This head of hair will be quite slithery! You can also use the Fusion kemonomimi trait to change the hair type, such as to tentacles.
• Ghost (Event-Only kemonomimi add-on): Out of all the ghosts and ghouls in the world, which one would you want to be? This add-on allows you to make your Caffae into a ghost, and the type of ghost is up to you!

Trait Releases

To go along with the new Event-Only Traits, we have also prepared several new traits!

• Coffee Hair (Uncommon visual trait): Some Caffaes find this style of hair a good way to return to their roots...or, in this case, beans!
• Tail Wings (Legendary visual trait): Any wing ethusiast's dream come true! It's cute, functional, and makes your tail 50% more effective!
• Seeping Darkness All Over (Legendary visual trait): Use the darkness to your advantage with this spooky trait!

Prompts: A Good Book, Practicing Piracy, Single-Minded!

We have three new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• A Good Book: September 6th is National Read a Book Day. Does your Caffae have a favorite genre, or perhaps a favorite book?
• Practicing Piracy: September 19th is Talk Like a Pirate Day! Whether it's to prepare for that Halloween costume, or just having some good-natured fun, get ready to hornswaggle some landlubbers and get some loot!
• Single-Minded: National Singles Week is the third week in September, so perhaps reflecting on singles' life is what is on your mind.

Trait Releases!

While we don't have new Event-Only Traits this month, we do have several new traits to offer!

• Peppers (Legendary add-in): Let's start with something spicy, huh? Jalepeno, chili, or even ghost peppers!
• "Edible but Weird" (Adopt-Only add-in): A catch-all for anything that's edible by itself, but you wouldn't put into coffee outside of a dare...right? Right?
• Trichechidae (Rare kemonomimi): Including manatees and dugongs, this aquatic kemonomimi is very friend-shaped!
• Sock Coffee (Rare coffee type): Don't use your gym socks for this coffee type! This method of the making uses a special cotton filter in order to make the coffee.
• Turkish Sand Coffee (Adopt-Only coffee type): With this specialized method, you can make stronger coffee! Just mind that you don't burn yourself with the sand.
• Origami (Rare catalyst): Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It can be whatever your heart desires with this special catalyst!
• Cup (Common catalyst): While this won't give you cool fingergun powers, a cup catalyst has its other uses.

We hope that these traits inspire ideas, even as the summer draws to a close.

Lore and Trait Guide Update!

Sometimes, picking out coffee beans to mix and match is difficult, especially if you're not a coffee person (or prefer to be casual about your coffee).

With that in mind, we've added a new Beans section to the Bean Grinds tab in the Lore and Trait Guide!

In addition to explaining the three main beans, there are several other types of coffee beans presented as a starting point, with a small description and/or fun fact with each.

Prompts: Good Deeds, Happiness Happens, Back to School!

We have three new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• Good Deeds: National Be an Angel Day takes place on August 22nd, but good deeds certainly aren't limited to a single day.
• Happiness Happens: Sometimes, things just...happen! And some are more pleasant than others.
• Back to School: As homeowners have the hustle and bustle of back to school, so a Caffae typically ends up picking up on the hectic mood.

Swimsuit Contest!

It's time for some fun in the sun! Hopefully you've got a swimsuit!

Starting July 1st, you can submit your Caffaes wearing swimsuits! You can also submit entries involving other Caffaes or the NPCs!

You can choose to link them to this bulletin's comments, or submit them in the appropriate channel on the Discord server.

During the month of August, we will run a vote to see whose swimsuits are the best, and announce the winners on the September bulletin.

Trait Releases Part 1: Gun Catalysts!

While we don't have new Event-Only Traits this month, we do have a plethora of new traits to offer!

Firstly, we want to announce the myriad options for a new set of catalysts: guns.

• Common: Handguns; this includes revolvers, hand cannons, flintlocks, etc.
• Uncommon: Long guns; this includes regular rifles, shotguns, carbines, etc.
• Rare: Submachine guns, sniper rifles, automatic rifles
• Super-Rare: Machine guns, assault rifles, battle rifles
• Legendary: Cannons, laser guns, grenade launchers
• Adopt-Only: Rocket launchers, BFGs

And yet, these aren't the only traits we're offering this month!

Trait Releases Part 2: Wait, There's More!

Don't worry if you're not a gun enthusiast; we have plenty of other traits to add in!

• Sprinkles (Common add-in): Have you felt the need to decorate your coffee?
• Food coloring (Common add-in): Maybe you want your cherry coffee to be blue, or your blueberry coffee to be red.
• Griffin (Super-Rare kemonomimi): A majestic cross between a lion and an eagle!
• Hippogriff (Legendary kemonomimi): This chimera-like creature is the result of a griffin crossed with a horse.

Artfight takes place during the month of July, and so, we'll be granting a 500 Golden Bean bonus if you submit any Artfight works for Caffaes during the month.

• Selkie (Event-Only kemonomimi): This special kemonomimi can shift between humanoid and animal-like forms with the use of its pelt! By default, the Selkie is using a pinniped pelt (seals, walruses, etc.), but you can use the Fusion Kemonomimi trait in order to expand your options!
• Pool Float Halo(s) (Event-Only visual trait): It's always good to have something to hold onto when in the water. Disclaimer: Make sure to bring your own pool floats, this one might not be strong enough to keep you afloat.
• Seashell Halo(s) (Event-Only visual trait): It's okay, you can be a little shellfish with this pretty halo.
• Seaweed Halo(s) (Event-Only visual trait): Perhaps you prefer to enjoy your greens?

We have three new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• Paranormal Activity: Paranormal Day is on May 3rd, so get your flashlights and your old musty tomes. It's time to look into the abyss, and pray it doesn't look back.
• Pets in the Home: With National Pet Week in May, it's a good time to reflect your Caffae's relationships with the pets in the home, especially between the day and night.
• May Flowers: With the April Showers out of the way, it's time for the May Flowers to bloom! Does your Caffae have any particular favorite flowers? Or just thoughts as Spring begins to wane?

Bank and Tracker Mascot Contest

We've had two entries, each with a pair of Caffaes for the Bank and MYO Tracker! After the dust cleared and the votes settled, though, we have a winner ready to receive their reward.

Since they submitted a pair and won with that pair, they will receive 4,000 Golden Beans and two Momentous MYOs!

Lucille (she/they) is bubbly, but gets deadly serious when it comes to the ledgers. The first time she worked with them, she spilled ink over an account, and from that point has done her utmost to make sure it's neat. They know a lot of people, being the banker. We have three new prompts out this month! You'll earn 300 Golden Beans to add to your claims by participating in any of these prompts.

• Make a Homeowner: Making homeowner characters is the big new trend spreading across the Caffae bars, with their own tiers of rarity. What’s yours look like?
  This prompt can be taken several times by the same Caffae!
• Spring Cleaning: Homeowners may end up more conscious about their cleanliness during spring, and so a Caffae is likely to find themselves both more concerned and less busy during the spring. How is your homeowner reacting to the season, and how is your Caffae taking it?
• Easter Egg Hunts: The Easter season is upon us! Does your Caffae celebrate, or do they just take advantage of the post-Easter sales for those chocolate bunnies? (I don't blame them.)

Prop Item Removal

When the Caffae species first started, there was a tier of Bean-bought items known as prop items. However, as time went on, the need for these items faded.

So we're removing them!

All items will be tallied and their Bean costs will be given to their respective users. All sheets will remove the Prop Item sections and tallies, and the transaction history will be cleaned up as well.

New Event-Only Traits!

We have four Event-Only traits for this month:
Snake Halos, Clover Halos, Button Eyes, and Clover-Shaped Catalysts!

The Snake Halos are unique in that both Caffaes and Decaffs can use them. Some say that St. Patrick drove all the snakes from Ireland, and summoning these critters takes a certain sort of magic.

The Clover-Shaped Catalyst is said to bring about quite a bit of luck. How lucky will you be?

Clover-Shaped Halos are a Caffae-exclusive trait, and are additions to the regular halos a Caffae has.

Button Eyes are a Decaff-exclusive trait. Whose craft drawer did they get into?

We've added a few new prompts to the Golden Bean Quests, but that's not the only reason this is in the bulletin.

New Event-Only Traits!

We have three Event-Only traits for this month:
Heart-Shaped Catalysts, Heart Halos, and Broken-Heart Spikes!

The halos and spikes follow the species rule, meaning that the Halos belong to Caffaes, and the Spikes belong to Decaffs.

These are added on top of the halos and spikes,
resulting in a rather sweet effect!

Meanwhile, the Heart-Shaped catalyst can be used by both species.

• Navel Piercing Catalyst (Legendary): They say that this placement helps with stomachaches -- is that true?

We hope these traits are just as enjoyable for you to use as they were for me to write the descriptions of.

Trait Overhaul

We've gone ahead and made some adjustments to the missing limbs and missing limbs with prosthetics traits! Now, these traits are split up and reorganized.

Instead of limiting the rarity to the missing limbs or prosthetics themselves, rarity is instead determined by prosthetic materials.

• Missing Limbs (Common): You can now remove as many limbs as you please, without buying traits!
• Wooden Prosthetics (Common)
• Metal Prosthetics (Common)
• Plastic Prosthetics (Common)
• Multi-material Prosthetics (Uncommon)

You, too, can show your appreciation (or vaguely threatening aura) for the new year and all that it brings!

Unfortunately, this catalyst isn't powerful enough to affect time or the passage of it.

• Kopi Joss (Adopt-Only coffee type): Also known as "Charcoal Coffee", this coffee uses a red-hot coal to help the flavor!
• Kopi Gu Yu (Super-Rare coffee type): Known as "Coffee with Butter", this coffee might seem a bit unconventional.
• Flaming Mayan Coffee (Adopt-Only coffee type): A presentation as well as a coffee, this type uses live flames and multiple sauce boats to entertain as well as create!

There's not only one prompt, but three prompts you can partake in during the holiday season! Each prompt gives an additional 300 Golden Beans upon submitting a claim.

The prompts are:

• Snowy Fun: The snowfall is a great time for Caffaes and Decaffs alike to play. Snow angels are much easier with actual wings, right?
• Holiday Havoc: Whether it's trying to figure out the perfect gift, select the best Yule log, or merely getting everyone to sit down for a photo -- sometimes the merriest part of the year is also the most stressful!

We have several new event-only traits, randomly selected with the purchase of any MYO slot during the month of December.

These traits are:

• Snowy Bean Halo(s) (Caffae-only): Stealing a bit of snow to spice up your flavor, or simply to make yourself stand out? A bit of magic can do the trick!
• Christmas Light Tail(s): Replace one or more of your tails with a whole string of holiday lights! They also make for decent climbing rope. (No they don't.)
• Ornament-Shaped Catalyst: Perfect to sneak onto the tree of an unsuspecting human!
• Present-Shaped Catalyst: Sometimes, the best gifts don't need to be opened to be useful.
• Snowflake-Shaped Catalyst: As the snow begins to fall outside, you can become a trendsetter in the winter months with this catalyst!

Trait Releases

New traits are out this month, thanks to suggestions from the community!
