MYO GUIDE
This is a basic guide to design your very own Yumenari! However, this guide only goes over the basics; if you'd like to know more about a specific trait, please locate it in the Traits guide, check the FAQ or ask us in our Discord or through yumenari!
Basic Guidelines
- All Yumenari must have the required traits necessary! If you missed something or otherwise forgot, we'll ask you to add it in or edit it before we can approve the design.
- The design you submit must be a full body reference (Chibi artstyle is allowed)! We also allow on-base designs as long as the base creator is properly credited when you submit your Yumenari to us.
- We accept both digital and traditional references, as long as they are in color!
- All of the traits you have listed must be visible in the Masterlist image. Additionally, if you have multiple images/poses in your Masterlist image, the Yumenari drawn must be consistent unless it is for an "alternate" version (such as shifting hair color, shifting eye color, alternative mask, ect.) or otherwise for reference purposes only (like showing a Nightmare Yumenari without their mask for a reference for their face).
- Your Yumenari is not offical until it has been approved and uploaded onto the Masterlist! Please wait until they are at least approved by a member of staff to upload them publically.
- Your are welcome to turn a pre-existing OC into a Yumenari as long as permission has been given by the original creator! Additionally, we allow AUs, however if you wish to trade/sell the character in the future you must either void the AU, or turn the character into a Yumenari. You may not sell a Yumenari AU character and keep the original version of the character.
Design Rules
- We do not condone R-Rated content in the design. As such we do not allow detailed gore, nudity or sexual equipment in the base design. However, PG-13 designs are completely allowed. If posting a design with PG-13 themes and asking for approval in a public space such as Discord, we ask of you to spoiler the image and add any applicable trigger warnings.
- Do not trace, edit, color pick, or steal/take heavy inspiration from other users and staff unless specifically given permission.
- We do not allow kinsonas or designs based on copyrighted characters (i.e My Little Pony, Minecraft, My Hero Academia, Pokemon, ect), however inspiration and/or taking bits and pieces of it is acceptable.
- We do not allow dark-colored military uniforms, red armbands and black military-style hats, particularly with emblems. This imagery can be associated with fascism even in innocent designs.
- We absolutely prohibit designs with racist, hateful, or "proship" themes. If a character is designed, redesigned, or made without approval with these themes, the Yumenari will be voided and the designer and current owner will be permanently banned from the species.
- Regarding Clouds/Miasma:
- All clouds/miasma must have a soft and fluffy texture unless stated otherwise (eg. Delusion Yumenari's "Smoky Miasma" trait)
- They must gather at the tip of the tail regardless of position and each tail must have its own clouds/miasma
- They must not be in front of the Yumenari's body
- Every visible cloud must have their mobile/drapery and weather visible if possible
- You are welcome to twist/bunch up the tails, but they must be recognizable as different tails (eg. the tails are in a braid and all three tail colors are distinct from each other).
- As of November 12th 2022, we ask that every Yumenari has relatively "human" skin tones. Howvever, Delusions are allowed to have skintones that deviate more from humans.
Traits Checklist

All Dream Yumenari Require...
- At least one tail and a pair of fox ears
- A mobile decoration which hang off the clouds, either by strings or a circular mobile, or both
- Pastel color or otherwise soft hued clouds

All Nightmare Yumenari Require...
- At least one tail and a pair of fox ears
- A mask that covers at least half of the face. This mask may not be removed!
- A drapery decoration which wraps around the miasma or is otherwise on the clouds
- Neon, desaturated or dark-colored miasma

All Delusion Yumenari Require...
- At least one tail and a pair of fox ears
- Spiral eyes and black markings around them
- A veil decoration which are hung off the top of the miasma or be bound around the miasma
- Neon, desaturated or dark-colored miasma that have two distinct tones to them
REDESIGNING
- Redesigns must keep all traits of the previous Masterlist design. The redesign must resemble the original by at least 80%.
- The only exception to the above is if you show proof of ownership of any items you have used on the Yumenari!
- You must have the original artist and/or designer's permission to redesign and edit the original art (if applicable). Designs made by the Owners or Admins do not need redesign permission, but you will still need to ask if you wish to edit the original art.
- Once again, your Yumenari is not offical until it has been approved and uploaded onto the Masterlist! Please wait until they are at least approved by a member of staff to upload them publically.

These are appliciable for redesigning and must be submitted for reapproval:
- Body type edits. Changes must be moderate. Extreme changes in body type, such as making plus-sized characters thin, will not be approved.
- Skin tone edits. Skin tone changes are allowed, as long as the new skin tone is within the same range of the old one. Whitewashing or drastically changing a character's race is not allowed and will also be rejected.
- Hair color/Haircut edits. If you wish to drastically change a character's hair color or length/style, they must be approved and reuploaded onto the Masterlist first.
- Tail color and/or changing a pattern on the tail(s)
- Adding and/or removing traits on a Yumenari. You must provide proof of ownership of every item used when submitting the form.
- Editing any existing trait on a Yumenari. These changes must be minor, otherwise we will ask of you to provide an appicable item.

However these features can be changed at any time without approval:
- Updating/Redrawing the Yumenari's reference image without changing any traits, unless you wish to update the Masterlist image
- Giving your Yumenari different outfits, unless you wish to update the Masterlist image
- Changing the character's gender
- Hairstyle edits. You may change how the hair is styled but do not alter the length, cut or color of the hair. For example, turning a ponytail into a braid.
- Slight color tweaks
VOIDING
- If you wish to void a currently existing Yumenari, you must contact either nothingwitty (through Toyhou.se PMs or Discord through pitot#1939) or yumenari. You must show proof of ownership and character by providing both the Yumenari's Masterlist entry and TH page (if applicable). You cannot void a Yumenari unless you are able to provide this information.
- You must remove all Yumenari traits to void your Yumenari. These traits include: weather / clouds, and miasma / drapery and mobiles / any other traits if applicable
- Your character will be eligible to unvoid if requested.

Some designs may be voided by Owner and/or Admin discretion for the following reasons:
- Offensive imagery. Any offensive imagery - racist, fascist, pedophiliac, etc.
- Copying of other artists. Tracing, heavily color picking or color picking when not allowed, copying designs, etc.
- Dangerous or a blacklisted owner/user
- Anything that doesn't comply with or doesn't follow our Terms of Service
SUBMITTING A FORM
- Currently we only accept forms through yumenari or our community Discord. Forms sent to any other of our social media will not be accepted.
- Please use the forms provided to you and make sure all of the information listed is correct.
- We may ask you to edit or redo some parts of your design if we deem something not legal or need changing!
