Clo-Gal Anatomy & Lore
[ last updated 4/12/24 ]
Loosely inspired in appearance by the kamui from Kill la Kill, Attireans (singular: Attirean, from the word "attire") are a race of shapeshifting aliens who originally came to Earth just to feed off human emotions/interaction, but some of them stuck around because they think humans are neat.
When an individual Attirean attaches itself to a shell, the combined being is then classified as a Clo-Gal!
Clo-Gals can be any gender, not just girls! (Attireans have found that presenting as cute girls tends to attract a lot of interaction, though.)
Shells
Shells are the human-like vessels that Attireans control to blend into human society. All shells have "soulless" eyes and typically have blank smiles. There are two types of shells!
- Organic shell: An actual human body! This was once a person, and they might still be conscious in there somewhere under all the mind control... (Of course, this is assuming that the Attirean didn't outright slaughter the human.)
- Synthetic shell: Robots or lab-grown artificial humans! These are easier for Attireans to obtain, but it's harder to pass off as a human.
- Some have visible robotic lines/joints, barcodes, or other visual indicators.
Anatomy
Clo-Gal anatomy generally consists of:
- Top: Contains eye(s) and vital organs. Eyes can look like buttons, printed designs, or similar. May also contain sharp teeth to "bite" and anchor the Attirean to the shell.
- Bottom: Digestive system. Usually (but not always) short, above the shell's knee, to easily vent out burned energy. Teeth may also be located here.
- Footwear: Defense mechanism. Can transform into a weapon and be used while "worn" (knife heels!) or manually held (your shoe is also a gun!).
- Optional: accessories (gloves, hats, etc.)
Mutations
Mutations can happen if the Attirean itself is ill or if the shell is rejecting the bond.
