A new page has been added to the TH TEF world, alongside a forum. Both revolve around the idea of Telling Bees - a new method for characters to spread information and learn information. The link and provider in this case comes in the form of bees buzzing among the woods! If your character has something going on for them and they would like to share it with the whole Forest, please consider leaving a comment about it under this bulletin, write a message on the corresponding channel in TEF Discord or add a new thread to the forum. Yaidelin's Spring Tips

“At first, the green color appears at the ground level, as wildflowers begin to grow and quickly flower. Then, the shrubs and understory trees begin to flower and leaf out, giving off the illusion that the green color is creeping upwards." Source

foraging

Certain trees can be harvested for their sap in spring, for example maple. Among other plants, your character might be able to forage: stinging nettles, wild garlic, wild leeks, chickweed, plantain, burdock, cleavers and many others.

Gardening

Steps have to be followed in order to grow a successful patch of flowers or crops. It takes time, patience and dedication. The area has to be cleaned, the soil prepared and the sprouts watched. A gardener's almanac can provide all kinds of useful information.

The Forest Writing Prompts

Reminisce about the season, specifically when it starts for your character. What are the signs of the approaching season they recognise? Do they have any spring traditions, customs or beliefs? What significance does the season bear for them? Try to consider all five senses. Add more if the character's magic is sensitive towards season change.

March

Spring is the time of new beginnings. Your character picks up a new activity or hobby connected with the season, for example making or collecting flower crowns.

April

Holiday! Your character gathered the Easter confetti and has decided to do something creative with it before the Spring Rally starts. Can they give it any magical properties?

May

Your character's haunt or maybe even their den turns into a big dandelion. What is their reaction? Do they decide to do something about it?
