The continent that our species inhabits is called Terra Serena, but it wasn't always like that. Before the meteorite fell on our planet, it was called “Amargor”, a completely dangerous and inaccessible continent. This is because there were many creatures and unstable terrains at the time, pushing humans away and preserving their nature.
But what could the meteorite be?
It remains unknown to this day, being described as a giant rock that hit Terra Serena 314 years ago. Its impact, despite not being felt by humans, generated countless chaotic phenomena in the world, such as “natural” disasters where they did not exist. Furthermore, he looked like a seed, carrying several mushrooms within him and spreading red roots beneath the earth and sea. These roots generate powerful ocean currents, allowing squidishes to travel across the continent quickly.
Where we came from?
Our species was the result of an experiment related to the meteorite, which resulted in the birth of Amanita, the progenitor of the Eternal. She has the ability to create squidishes with the pollen that come out of the mushrooms in her tentacles, but she was also able to create Dagr (progenitor of Salamander) and Milk (progenitor of Sanguine), who also have their abilities to generate squidishes. Dagr can create using the scent of his antennae, while Milk creates from her blood.
A curious fact:
Regardless of the differences in how progenitors created our species, they have one thing in common and extremely crucial for this to happen: food. Amanita pollen needs to come into contact with food to generate a squidish, just like the scent on Dagr's antennae and Milk's blood. However, there are specific foods for each person to create a squidish, which is why we have our food table, or menu if you prefer.
“But I have my parents, that’s not possible.”
This is also true. Squidishes can reproduce just like humans, but there is a difference between a squidish created by a parent and one that comes from reproduction. The squidishes that are born today are all from eggs, which means they were born from normal reproduction. Because the parents Amanita, Dagr and Milk haven't created squishies in over a century. When this happened, the squidish simply “appeared”, and could have varying physical ages between children, teenagers, young people and adults, but regardless of that, they have the maturity of a child.

O continente do qual nossa espécie habita se chama Terra Serena, mas nem sempre foi assim. Antes do meteorito cair em nosso planeta, ele era chamado de “Amargor”, um continente completamente perigoso e inacessível. Isso porque existiam muitas criaturas e terrenos instáveis na época, afastando os humanos e preservando sua natureza.
Mas o que seria o meteorito?
Ele é uma incógnita até os dias atuais, sendo descrito como uma rocha gigante que atingiu Terra Serena a 314 anos atrás. Seu impacto apesar de não ter sido sentido pelos humanos, gerou inúmeros fenômenos caóticos no mundo, como desastres “naturais” onde eles não existiam. Além disso, ele parecia uma semente, carregando diversos cogumelos dentro de si e espalhando raízes vermelhas debaixo da terra e do mar. Essas raízes geram correntes marítimas poderosas, permitindo que squidishs viagem pelo continente rapidamente.
De onde viemos?
Nossa espécie foi fruto de um experimento relacionado ao meteorito, que resultou no nascimento de Amanita, a progenitora dos Eternal. Ela possui a capacidade de criar squidishs com o pólen que saem dos cogumelos em seus tentáculos, mas ela também foi capaz de criar Dagr (progenitor dos Salamander) e Milk (progenitora dos Sanguine), que também possuem suas capacidades de gerar squidishs. Dagr pode criar utilizando o aroma de suas antenas, enquanto Milk cria a partir de seu sangue.
Um fato curioso:
Independente das diferenças sobre como os progenitores criam nossa espécie, eles possuem uma coisa em comum e extremamente crucial para isso acontecer: comida. O pólen de Amanita precisa entrar em contato com uma comida para gerar um squidish, assim como o aroma nas antenas de Dagr e o sangue de Milk. Porém existem comidas específicas para cada um gerar um squidish, por esse motivo que temos a nossa tabela de comidas, ou cardápio se preferir.
“Mas eu tenho meus pais, isso não é possível”
Isso também é verdade. Squidishs podem se reproduzir assim como os humanos, mas existe diferença entre um squidish criado por um progenitor e um advindo da reprodução. Os squidishs que nascem hoje em dia são todos de ovos, o que quer dizer que eles nasceram a partir da reprodução normal. Pois os progenitores Amanita, Dagr e Milk não criam squishies há mais de um século. Quando isso acontecia, o squidish simplesmente “aparecia”, podendo ter idades físicas variadas entre criança, adolescente, jovem e adulto, mas independente disso eles tinham a maturidade de uma criança.
