That’s easy. Join in our species events! All events offer opportunities for everyone to join, even if some of you don’t have a squidish. At those events, it’s possible you can grab a squidish! When we are not doing an event, you may buy a MYO on the shop select “MYO” on the left.

Species are fantasy universes that contain a story, world, and characters with unique appearances. They can be open, semi-open/closed or closed species. In the case of Squidishes, we are a closed species, which means that we have terms and rules to follow in order to obtain a character within the species. What can be summed up as “we are not a free species”, you usually have to pay to get a squidish. But that's not the only option, you can also trade or be gifted with a character/MYO.

Squidishes are humanoid characters (which means they have human bodies) with octopus parts and that are inspired by a food. The appearance of a normal Squidish is divided into three classes: eternal, salamander and sanguine. But there are special Squidishes (acquired at events), which are separated into subspecies, such as: Easter, Christmas, Halloween, etc. You can check the Trait Guide to check appearances.

Events are announced on the three platforms of our species: in the toyhouse through bulletins; on facebook through posts and on our discord in the “notices” channel. They have instructions on how to participate in your description, as well as its duration. If nothing is happening at the time you are reading this information, don't worry! Events happen periodically.

Gacha is a type of raffle where you don't know what the prizes are, but everyone who participates wins something. First, an announcement is made of how it will happen, describing how many numbers will be available for purchase, then clarifying the value of each one and the number limit per person. Depending on the event, the prizes can vary, but there will always be Premades or even special Squidishes. Gachas don't happen too often!, so watch out for announcements!

MYO is an abbreviation for “Make Your Own”. It is permission to create a Squidish, whether it's done by you or someone else. You can buy it from the administrators Razaly and Luke or acquire it from someone in the community, through trades or sales. But be aware, there are rules about the value of MYO: you cannot sell MYOs that were acquired free of charge from the administration; you cannot sell a MYO for more than it was purchased from management. But you can also acquire one by participating in events, either as a reward or as prizes!

You can acquire it by participating in events, raffles, rewards for small activities, exchanging with someone in the community or being a member of the staff.

In this case, it refers to the official adoptables of our species, which are periodically exposed in sales. They are squidishes made specifically by the guest artist, on the official species basis.

Participate in official sales when they open, or get one through a trade with a community member.

Premades are squidishes made on the basis of the species, by the guest artist. But unlike adopts, they are usually acquired as prizes in events, gacha, sweepstakes, raffles or auctions.

Stay tuned for announcements of the species, you will always be notified when there will be an event in which there will be premades as a reward. Or some sort of draw like gacha. Also, you can get one through trading with other members who already have it.

Openings for Guest Artist Moderators open every 3 months in our species, so stay tuned for notices to participate!

Guest artist is a position that identifies a person who is part of the staff and who can thus participate in the making of event illustrations, in the creation of official adopts and premades. It is the “official artist of the species” so to speak.

These are products that exist only in the species and that can only be purchased with octocoins. They are divided into categories and are for different things. Modifiers are for you to use traits from other classes in your MYO, Emblems are made for you to gain advantage or benefits in some situations.
