Twispers are fae-like creatures whose original purpose was to listen to their owners. They were created when a powerful being gave items called 'Whisper Boxes' sentience and life. Whisper boxes were part of a self help/care fad where users would decorate their box and speak to it, usually about their bad days. Eventually, after a few weeks(or even months) the boxes would suddenly sprout to life, their appearances being based on their boxes. Users who mostly shared negative dialogue to their boxes have Twispers who are sad, frail or sick, meanwhile those with more positive feedback have happy, healthy Twispers.
