Hello everyone!
Welcome to the Trollhunters Alternate Universe (AU) ARPG!

What does that mean exactly?
Well, it means that though this ARPG is inspired greatly by the Trollhunters world, it does not follow the story line of Jim Lake and his friends. In fact, most of the characters from the show do not exist in this ARPG with the exception of some key canon characters. See HERE for more info on which characters still exist in this AU. Though these character may carry over, most will be changed to fit the AU better. Some may be changed completely, only keeping the same name. These are usually characters that were incredibly important to the lore of Trollhunters and needed to exist in order for the plot in general to work. These Key Canon Characters are being actively roleplayed by reliable roleplayers. If the roleplayer becomes inactive, their version of the character will be taken out of the Trollhunters AU world and replaced by a new character under the same name and roll in the plot to fill the void.

Well, is that all?
Nope! There are some key elements and established universe rules that have been changed from the original Trollhunters show. See HERE for information on that.

What about the Trollhunters Canon Lore?
Much of the original history DID stay the same, but there may be some tweaks here or there to stay consistent with the AU. See HERE for any edits on the Lore.

Okay, that all sounds great! So can I play a character from the show?
Nope! What key canon characters we do have will be played by reliable and active roleplayers. HOWEVER, you may play OC's or inspired characters that fill key character rolls that characters from the show did as long as they weren't one of taken key canon characters (see above link). And though you may have characters that have interacted with key canon characters (within reason), please remember that they are being roleplayed by other individuals. They aren't your character's lover, and they aren't your characters parent or relative unless you've discussed this with them and gotten the "OK" from them. You can see HERE what key character rolls have been filled (such as Troll Hunter, Gunmar's Lieutenant, and ect.).

What's the difference between Key Canon Characters and Key Character Rolls.
Key Canon Characters are characters like Merlin, Morgana, and Gunmar. Their names are almost as important as the roles they play in this world. However, there are rolls that can be filled in the series that could go by any name. Like Jim Lake didn't HAVE to be the Troll Hunter, someone else could have. Bular didn't HAVE to be Gunmar's only son/his lieutenant. Strickler didn't HAVE to be the spy, it could have been any changeling. So that's the difference basically.

What races can I play?
So far, the playable races are listed HERE. There may be limits on particular races on occasion if there's a lack of other races being played. "EXAMPLE: 20 trolls vs 3 humans would mean having to close trolls for a little bit so that there is a more even amount.". Other than that, we will try not to limit people as much as possible within the rules/lore of the AU.

So, does that mean I have to get my character approved before I can join?
Yes, but it's not based on roleplaying or art skill level or style. It's basically just to make sure that the lore for your character fits and follows the new Trollhunters AU rules and guidelines. After that, have fun! This place is mostly to connect to other roleplayers and/or fans of the Trollhunters series, but in a space where your own characters can be explored and expanded upon!

Is there a Discord Group?
