I have had a lot of people get confused with certain traits in the written guides, so I will write extra details out here!
> REGARDING TAILS:
For ‘Draconic’ tails, the tail must look similar to that of an eastern (Chinese) dragon, a dragon-like tail with a line of fur over the top bit, and some scattered body scales across it.
Dinosaur tails are considered reptilian, and are NOT the same thing, therefore they will not be approved. Luminents stem from Draconic ancestry, so this type of tail is cultural to the guide and represents the species. Draconic tails are the ONLY tail type allowed that *aren’t* mammalian.
> REGARDING BODY SCALES:
I am aware that I didn’t write much about the scales in detail, that was a large mistake on my end, however I will place the extra information on them here!
- Where should body scales be placed?
In order to be approved, a Luminent MUST have body scales on their face (right under the eyes- like, on the cheeks!), arms (if they are visible in the ref), tail, legs (if they are visible in the ref), and of course if the ref allows a view of the shoulders, there should be some scales there too!
**Visible in the ref means the reference shows the arms, legs etc. without the outfit covering them up!
- How should body scales look?
Body scales should be placed in little groups here and there in the required places, but separated slightly - they should not look like they are all in a clustered group/patch, they should have some space in between!
> REGARDING SKIN TONE/COLOR:
For additional reference, a Luminent’s skin can be any natural tone/color (like browns, tans, fair peachy colors etc.) and can be all one solid skin color, or if you want yours to have vitiligo, you can do that too!
