This year, it seems that Sakura is sitting on her lonesome - or, as lonesome as one can be with a porcelain Barkpot sitting beside them, occasionally booping their arm with their snout.
She seems a little more relaxed this year, smiling your way as she sets a hand on her little friend's head and scratches behind their ear, earning a delightful little clinking sound in return as the Barkpot's tail thumps delicately on the ground.
You ask the critter's name, and it looks up at you with those big, round, wet baby eyes - Sakura laughs.
"His name is Mason. I'm helping train him."
Ooo, train?
"Yep! He's an ESP - Emotional Support Pot. It was Melissa's idea, because they could help me while I train them. So here I am! Way less stressed and with a shop buddy."
Oh that is so cute.
"It is! Just as well, too, since Adoption Day is coming up. But that's neither here or there - I've got some special items for you! Care to look?"

In the distance, you see a crowd...

It's late at night when the glow of spotlights cast their shine over Modernia. Peppy, sassy music rings out through the man-made fog cast by machines on either side of a massive stage at the entrance to the country, and everybirdie gathers around to see that all of the barriers had been removed, allowing everyone access to the huge fashion event.
This seems... familiar. It's always a strange reminder that you've been in Modernia for a year, now.
Once a large enough crowd has gathered around, a group of exceptionally beautiful Birdies wearing white feathered robes garnished with shimmering gold threads begin a well-rehearsed dance that - though still well-rehearsed and orchestrated - is clearly a different performance from last year. The performance is meant to show off the stage and clothing they're wearing, as well as welcome everybirdie to the show, and from the ravenous cheers of the crowd it's working just as well as before; everyone is eating the display up, and the dancers love the attention just as much. Steam and light erupt on the stage, and two famous ring out, amplified by their Grade-A - no, definitely Grade S, now - microphones.
"Fledglings and Gentlebirdies," Madria and Aternus step out of the smoke in sync, dressed in luxurious fabrics in near blinding whites, golds, and black accents - the Glass & Glamour twins, co-owners of Modernia's most regarded fashion industry, "It is our greatest honour to welcome you back to the most anticipated fashion show of our kingdom! Please, join us as we continue to usher in a new age of beauty - glamour - and innovation!"
Cheers ring out in the crowd around you, and you feel your chest swell with excitement, wings lifting and flaring to catch the beams of light all around you.
It's just as glorious as last year's opening display, and as your hands ball into trembling fists near your fluttering ribcage, you find yourself mouthing along to the twins' next words.
"Open to Birdies of all ages, shapes and species, show off your own brand of glamour!"
Just, the crew of G&G employees that had previously been been dancing have begun passing around clipboards with sign-up sheets and fancy quill pens; the difference now is that they find themselves mingling with the same civilians they had worked with last year, chirping and catching up with friends. One approaches you with a smile, stunning and glorious, and you smile back just as amazing.
"Ready for another show?"
Oh, you know it.

To Participate:
To participate, members must draw a shaded fullbody (with background) of their Birdie(s) wearing an outfit(s) for the show (be it getting ready or on-stage or preparing at home doesn't matter) or else write at least a thousand words about them doing so with a detailed description of the outfit.
There will be votes from moderators on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place from everyone who participated. This would include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes as well as consolation prizes. Voting will not simply be based on quality, but with consideration to the amount of effort put in by members. Consolation prizes will be rolled at random.

Spring is just around the corner!
But the pollen came a week early!

It's bright outside, and a lovely perfume of flowers wafts through the air.
The springtime air has always brought a hectic whirlwind of activity to Modernia -- but this year is an all-out rush unlike any of the spring celebrations of the past. There are Glass Knights everywhere you look, brushing pollen and petals off of their armor.
You make your way toward the heart of the activity, marveling at the sheer number of people swarming the city gates. You don't think you've ever seen this many Glass Knights in one place; as you try to find the source of their frenzy, your eyes land on something that surprises you even more.
Founder Lin and Founder Odyssey are standing near the gate, speaking with someone in hushed tones. They seem rather heated, but you hardly notice their grave expressions in your confusion. It's so rare to see Founder Lin and Founder Odyssey in person that you can hardly help yourself; you amble closer, trying to look nonchalant as you strain to hear what the Founders are saying.
A few words and phrases meet your ears, though they're practically nonsense to you--strange eggs, danger, curse, shortage of Knights. Then, there's another word, one that drifts to you on a whisper that contains a fear so tangible it sends chills down your spine: Menace.
Come to think of it, hadn't Founder Beau mentioned something about a 'Glass Menace' about this time last year...?
Before you can linger too long on this, Founder Odyssey makes eye contact with you and issues a startled squawk, ramming Founder Lin in the arm with the elbow of one wing. Founder Lin's gaze finds you as well, and the deep-set scowl she had been wearing is pressed into a bland smile.
"Hello," Lin says. "Is there something you need?"
You feel yourself begin to blush, embarrassed at having been caught eavesdropping. You tell Founder Lin that you were looking for someone to explain what's happening.
"Nothing of much concern," she replies breezily. "Now, if you'll excuse us, I'm afraid we are quite busy."
Aw... you had really hoped to find out more. Oh well--you can always ask around later to see if anyone else knows what's going on.
As you turn to leave, Founder Odyssey calls after you, "OH! AND LOOK OUT FOR ANY STRANGE AND MYSTERIOUS EGGS YOU MIGHT FIND!!"

Adopt Batch:
For the event, Moderators will be posting a rabbit-themed adopt back that will have a few different methods of obtaining the designs, so keep an eye out for that! This will be a multi-artist effort between both Official Artists and Guest Artists, so make sure to show them your love and support!
The majority of these adopts will be OTA, so as to be accessible to all members!
At the end of the month, the artists of the designs will be able to choose who gets their adopts - or, if they've received no offers, whether or not to keep them! So make sure you get all your offers in before then,; you can offer on as many as you want, but you can only get one!!
Mechanics:
Members must already be on the Inventory to be able to participate in the event. Characters used for the event must be from the species to reap any reward. The event will last until 12AM on May 1st, whereupon any activities will also close. The prepared Adopt Batch will remain upon until either all designs are claimed, or designers decide what to do with anything unsold.
A special event booth will soon be made available for members to participate in. This booth will be posted one week after the event post, and will be free-to-play. Unlike most activities during events, this booth will be a competition between members, and the winners will be decided by the staff team! It will have a larger requirement than previous activities, but will also have a greater set of rewards.
Finally, there are rumours that a special shop will eventually be returning somewhere nearby! Keep an eye out for a special supply of MYO Items, and the smell of cherry blossoms!
Mysterious Glass Eggs:
Special “Mysterious Glass Eggs” will appear at random, with the ability to show up in Discord channels on the Birdie server as well as anywhere within the TH group at any given time. The eggs can contain anything from Fibers to Event Currency, to even MYO Items! There has, also, been a change to the egg hunt system from last year's in an attempt to make things both easier on staff and more fun and inclusive for members!
There are now egg "types", aka eggs that appear different from each other. Each different egg image contains a different prize or prize pool - some even have chances at secret prizes!! - and different difficulty levels to find them. There is no longer a limit on how many people can claim each one, either! If you find it, claim it, everyone can! Certain prizes can only be found a certain amount of times, and as expected the more difficult eggs will have rarer and cooler prizes, so hunt as hard as you can!! You'll get help from staff via a channel in the server called '#egg-hints', so keep an eye out there, as well.
We don't mind people telling where and when they find one of these eggs, because sharing is caring and we love when our members interact with and have fun with each other! There's plenty of fun prizes to go around, so please make sure to give a quick look around every day and have lots of fun!!
Event Currency: Gourmet Chocolates.
Special chocolates that are just too good not to share. While some see them as a great way to tell someone they mean something to you, others are willing to accept them as forms of payment. They're very popular on Delivery Day!
They come in many flavours, but the most popular is a simple milk chocolate with a cherry pressed into it. It’s common knowledge that sharing this specific flavour with someone means you love them.

After the last few festival shops, you're kind of expecting this one to be on the outskirts of the Glass City - or even outside of it, altogether. Surprise finds you easily when you're told that it is, in fact, located within the Glass Castle itself.
The trip inside is intimidating - what with the vaulted ceilings and stone pathways, and your escort being a Glass Knight of seemingly higher rank - but you find yourself strangely relaxing as you walk down just one more hallway. The further down you go, the sweeter the air becomes and the thicker the fog in your head, the more you want to step beyond the wooden door that the Knight stops you in front of.
You're confused when she gives you a quick once over and shines a light in your eyes before smiling at you and telling you it's alright to go in, but you heed her invitation anyway and smile back before entering.
Upon doing so, your smile softens out around the edges as the perfume within the shop engulfs you. You look around to find whoever it was you came here to do business with, the sound of flitting insect wings dancing around your ears with a sort of sparkle or fizz - that same sparkle dancing around your vision occasionally - until you hear a bump of a table near the back of the room.
"Sorry for the wait!" A young, light masculine voice calls out, and you hear a slight fwoosh and shimmer before the man himself stands up from when he must have been crouched. You're taken by his boyish beauty when he turns around to greet you with a wide smile, brows raising on their own accord, "Had to put a few things away and relight some candles before anyone else arrived! I can't stand the stink of this city, so I always bring my own fragrances, hope you don't mind."
.....
Wait, what?
"Not that it would matter much if you did," The doe-legged Birdie giggles, tidying a few things on the way over, "You're here to buy, not smell, right? Cough up the marbles and tell darling little Cupid what you want, and maybe I'll actually give it to you."
Okay, wow.
His shirt slides off one shoulder as he bends over his desk to leer up at you, heart-shaped eyes twinkling with a kind of mischief you suddenly don't feel like you want to trifle with - even if the smoke from the freshly-lit candles is beginning to dull the call of warning bells in your mind. His ear flicks as he sticks his tongue out playfully at you, the chains rattling with the movement.
Before you can even get a word out, he interrupts you.
"So are you gonna buy or what, sucker? I don't have all day."

Around the block just a few minutes away, on the outskirts of a majority of the festivities, a mini golf course has been set up. If you remember correctly, it seems quite a bit bigger from last year! They must have gotten more funding from.... somewhere. Logan, the Head Janitor of Modernia, comes up to greet you.
"Welcome! The golf course is open to anyone who wants to play! Just- just mind the children running around. Ever since the golf course got a bit bigger few had a few more... tripping incidents. N-Not to worry of course! We have everything handled." They sweat a bit as you hear a crash in the distance.
"I-I uh, should go check that out. Have fun and don't hurt yourseeeelf!" They quickly run towards the location of the sound. Looking around you can see a few golf clubs and balls you can get started with, for a small glass marble fee of course.
How to Play: Members must either draw or write about either an NPC or their created Birdie trying to play minigolf.

A square tent booth is set up to the side of one of the festival paths. It has three rows of cutouts of Glass Fledglings attached to little sticks. The waterguns on the countertop are designed like canons, adding to the underwater theming.
An elderly birdie with peppermint streaks in his hair and beard comes out from behind the tent, patting his beard dry from some water. Nik spots you and smiles brightly, waving you over in invitation.
"Well there, young one! How do ya do? Come on over, no need to be shy, all are welcome to play!" He pats one of the watercanons, a jolly laugh shaking his short frame.
How to Play: Members must either draw or write about either an NPC or their created Birdie trying to win the race by shooting their target. They can get either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes.
Requirements: 1 Halfbody & Simple BG | 600 Words Repeatable
Cost: 25 Glass Marbles
Tucked away from all the noisy activity of the festival, a decently hand-built stalls stands just outside the shade of some trees. The pale wood and blue fabric are eye-catching, standing out well against the field's green grass and warm-coloured flowers.
Manning the booth is the Head Midwife herself, Kitty, who grins cattily at you as you approach.
"The Emberlings all but forced me to take a break," She chuckles wryly, gesturing to the stacks of bottles behind her, "So I figured I'd dig out my old carnival booth and see who wants to take a crack at it. I brought a few special surprises, but don't let anyone else know, alright?" Kitty sets a small change bowl in front of her, "Just 25 Marbles, hon. Go at it."
How to Play:
Members must either draw or write about either an NPC or their created Birdie trying to knock down all three stacks of milk bottles.

Crossing through the Chalk Zone and gazing around at all of the people taking part in the activity, everything comes into greater focus as you stop in front of The Wheel. There's a moment when the world seems to narrow down between you and the seven-foot-tall colourful glass structure in front of you, when you remember how well it treated you last year.
And now the secret was out as to why.
With a heavy beat of wings and one outstretched talon, you look on with wide eyes as Founder Beau drops to his feet beside The Wheel and tucks his wings to the side, offering you a smile.
"Ready to spin?"
How to Play:
Members just have to ask for a spin! They can be in-character if they'd like, but it's not required.
