Joining the world is not required if you own an Sealomimi, however, you are still held accountable for recognizing these rules. ๐ Keep venting, hate, ranting, politics, rumors, drama, namedropping, whining, guilt tripping, begging, self-derogatory comments, etc strictly outside of the species. Please use content warnings as intended for sensitive subjects.
๐ We have a zero tolerance policy on any immoral/illegal content (pedophilia, nazism, incest, beastiality...etc) and discriminatory content (homophobia, transphobia, racism...etc), and any user found in possession/participation of these things will be banned, regardless if a Sealomimi was involved in the content or not.
Participating in inappropriate behavior, or anything that causes or threatens harm to others at all, will lead to a hard ban from the species.
๐ I kindly ask please do not make or bring NSFW into the group as we intend to be a SFW species.
We will not tolerate NSFW or sexual content created by underage users or of underage characters. Minors found creating or possessing nsfw content regardless of character's age, adult users creating or possessing nsfw content of underage characters, or anyone found distributing nsfw with an underage user, will result in an immediate ban regardless if a Sealomimi was involved or not.
Users of legal age can create or possess NSFW content/concepts of their character if they so wish, but please use content warnings/maturity locks as necessary and keep it private and outside of the species. Characters with NSFW content cannot be traded to minors.
Please do NOT submit NSFW references or designs with suggestive/nsfw clothing when approving a design. Barbie-doll nudity, meanwhile, is acceptable.
๐ Plagiarism in art and designs is strictly forbidden from the group.
Submitting traced, heavily copied, AI (artificial intelligence generated) images, and stolen art is not allowed, and can lead to a ban from participating in the species.
๐ Our blacklist. We politely ask users do not interact or offer sales/trades/gifts/etc involving Sealomimis with these individuals for your and our community's safety.

Closed Species meaning that you may not make your own (MYO) without a MYO slot. You may not make adoptables using my species name without permission either.
๐ ALL SEALOMIMI MUST HAVE CREATOR CREDIT SENT TO Sealomimis !!
This will be proof of your Sealomimi's authenticity within the species! As long as the profile has this, then you can trust the Sealomimi is official.
It is recommended all Sealomimis owners have a TH account, and avoid selling/trading/etc to off-site users or deleting the TH profile as it will remove the authenticity verification system toyhou.se provides that is utilized for this species.
If you are looking to upload your Sealomimi as a tab instead of a new individual character (such as for the reason they're an AU version of one of your OCs), that is possible! You can still change the creator credits of tabs in order to give your Sealomimi it's official stamp of verification. To access the ownership page of an individual tab, add /ownership at the end of the tab URL, and you can send creator credits and add designers from there.
Please assign designer credit under Designers in the ownership tab.
๐ It is REQUIRED to update the Masterlist when a Sealomimi exchanges hands.
Please refer to the masterlist for proof of ownership, and make sure the current owner is the owner listed here before obtaining a Sealomimi secondhand to avoid scams!
๐ You are free to customize and storybuild your characters however you wish in any appropriate context! You do not have to keep your character within lore of the species.
We only ask you to avoid plagarizing others' character writing and to be culturally sensitive; MYO designs and stories should avoid incoporating harmful stereotypes, poor representation/depictions/research of real-world cultures, or generalizing unique cultures into an "aesthetic."
๐ RESALE RULES:
You may trade and gift your Sealomimis freely. You may only resell/voucher for a higher price than obtained for if your Sealomimi has NEW artwork YOU yourself have obtained for them. This covers both commissioned and quality personal art. Trades, gifts, low effort sketches, art the Sealomimi previously came with, or, if DTA adopt the DTA art shouldn't be factored.
Sealomimis/MYO Slots can be traded for the in-species currency, IC, freely. IC does not have an equivalent real world currency value and thus transactions with it is counted as a trade.

Free unused MYO slots may only be traded or gifted. Paid unused MYOs may be resold/vouchered max at price purchased for. Unused MYOs cannot be resold for money higher than obtained for.
๐ Sealomimi designs are intended for personal use.
However, Sealomimis may be integrated into personal stories, webcomics, or other works (youtube videos) that may be published on a digital platform, with credit and clarification that Sealomimis are a Closed Species and others may not make their own without permission. Sealomimis may not be used for direct commercial profit, such as commercial VTubing or mass making prints and merchandise to sell.
NON-Sealomimi alternate versions/AUs of a design may be allowed to be used for commercial purposes at the discretion of the original designer's TOS and permission.
๐ Co-ownership will not be officially recognized by the group.
Only one owner will be listed on the Masterlist at any one time.
๐ You may integrate a personal OC you own into a Sealomimiย with bothย a MYO slot andย permission from the designer.
If the designer's TOS mentions they allow changing their design's species, that counts as permission; otherwise please ask the designer directly first! Please provide this proof when submitting a Sealomimi MYO based on an OC you haven't designed yourself. Vice versa, making alternate versions or AUs from a Sealomimi is allowed (it's still recommended to ask for permission from the original designer out of courtesy).
Please understand that all versions of the design are LOCKED to each other and may not be sold/traded/gifted/etc separately, as they are essentially the same character.
Sibling/family designs (where the new design intends to be heavily based on an existing design) may only be created if you have a new MYO slot, and bothย the current owner andย designer of the Sealomimi in question permit it (proof must be provided). These designs will then be locked to each other and cannot be separated.
In the case the designs were owned by two different people at creation- say person B made a sibling to person A's character with their permission, if person A happens to want to rehome their Sealomimi to person C, person B is not obligated to also rehome their Sealomimi to person C. However, both person A and B must confirm the transfer on the Masterlist to person C to authorize the ownership transfer.
๐ Design plagiarism/theft can result in an immediate ban.
Please do not heavily reference otherโs characters; there cannot be anything heavily resembling a copyrighted character from a franchise or other's ocs in any Sealomimi design or work submitted to the group (eg, official prompts). Please do not make "Sealomimi AU OCs" out of copyrighted franchise characters or other's ocs you do not own. You may not base your Sealomimi designs directly on official assets (eg, pets) without express permission.
๐ For design edit and redesign rules:
Sealomimis may be edited as long as the new design remains recognizable to the old design and doesn't look like a completely new MYO. If a redesign looks significantly distinct (such as they can pass as a sibling design instead), then please check in the design just in case!
You may edit the free-for-all traits freely without official approval: changing hairstyle, hair length, outfits, gender, or any other minor detail shift. Note, disrespectful edits such as whitewashing/erasing minority representation/etc, will not be allowed.
Altering Traits: To add new higher rarity traits on your Sealomimi, you will need Trait Upgrades. Swapping an Uncommon or Rare trait for another in the same or lower tier is allowed for free, as long as the trait is in the same category: ie, ears for ears, tails for tails, textures for textures (however, CB/Mutation traits cannot be swapped for a completely different CB/Mutation). Dropping any trait to common rarity is free at any time.
Editing how a Crossbreed or Mutation trait presents itself (eg, how much coverage it has) or dropping a CB/Mutation trait is allowed for free. CB/Mutation traits can be edited more drastically in appearance, but should not deviate and appear as a totally different design. More info here.
If making any of the above trait edits, you will need to draw updated artwork and send it in to Sealomimis to approve! If editing art that isn't yours, you MUST receive permission from the artist and provide it as proof during MYO approval.
๐ You may void a Sealomimiย from the species if you wish to.
To do this, please send a PM to Sealomimis titled "Sealomimi void request" WITH a link to their masterlist and TH Profile! The latter of which is needed so the creator credit to Sealomimis will be removed and passed to the designer of the character. The image will remain on the masterlist for logging purposes, however.
The design may return back into the species later again with a MYO slot/applicable items, unless if otherwise stated or requested by the original designer. Please note, voiding does not refund you a MYO Slot or trait upgrades you have used.
As a small side note, I politely ask Adopts are not immediately voided upon obtaining! If that is your main interest, then I politely ask you to refrain from buying an adopt from me.
๐ If one is banned from the group, owned characters will NOT be revoked, but will be voided from the species and no longer be recognized as official Sealomimi. Depending on the severity of the ban, the Sealomimi may not be allowed to be unvoided.
