*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Pilots˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

What are Pilots? ❁ They are the lifeforms that occupy a Karurium's terrarium!

Can I mix and match pilots? ❁ No, every Karurium has a max of one species of lifeform, or else their body will fall into unbalanced ruin.

How many pilots can a Karurium have? ❁ Only one species per Karurium, however you are free to have many duplicates of that species within their terrariums!

Can flower pilots have different colors in different terrariums of the same karu? ❁ The flower colors can be different as long as it’s the same species.

Do fruits count as plants? ❁ Yes!

What rarity are reptiles? ❁ They are rare.

Are marine mammals rare or Uncommon? ❁ All creatures under the mammal category are rare!

Can microorganisms or bacteria be used as a pilot? ❁ No. These do not fit into the already established categories.

When we buy a pilot from the shop can we use an albino version of it in our design? ❁ If the shop item does not specify a specific variation then yes!

Can you replace a Karurium’s pilot? ❁ No. Each karurium is crafted specifically to that pilot and to remove or replace it would be fatal for both the pilot and the machine.

Do pilots for MYOs need to be real or can they be made up? ❁ Made up creatures and mythological creatures fall under the legendary trait.

Are extinct species plausible for common/uncommon/rare or would that be Legendary? ❁ Animals that were extinct before human civilization, like dinosaurs, etc. would count as legendary. However more recently exist animals are okay to match the normal rarities.

Do pilots who usually function as colonies have to be drawn together? Ex: ants, bees, etc. ❁ You can but it is not required. You do not have to draw multiple of the pilot if you don't want to!

Can Karus interact with the pilots inside their terrariums? ❁ The pilots in the terrariums are technically the karurium themselves- or at least part of the karurium that isn't an AI, it's a very symbiotic relationship.

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Materials˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

Do I have to use both a metal and a gemstone or can I use two gemstones/metals? ❁ The materials that accent a Karurium can be any combination of the two. Metal/gem, gem/gem/metal, metal/gem/metal, etc. are just a few of the possible options- basically the combination doesn't really matter!

What are the rules for types of materials? ❁ The material must be able to hold a solid form. However, organic materials do not work. Bonse and pearls will work! If you can play Janga with the material then it will be okay to use!

Can gems of the same kind have different colors? ❁ Because gems don’t have a “species” they are specified by their color so if you want to use a different color of the same gem type it would be uncommon. However, slight shades of the same color are fine to use!

How much of the materials can we put on our designs? What is the point of the materials? ❁ You can have as much and as little of a material or materials you want and place it wherever you choose. The material is what helps in building the karurium.

Can you replace a karurium’s material? ❁ No. But you can add more! Once a karurium has a material attached it cannot be removed or replaced.

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Terrariums˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

How do things like horses fit in the terrariums? ❁ Inside each terrarium is what could effectively be called a 'pocket dimension', where the pilot gets to enjoy their preferred habitat and save space. How neat!

Do terrariums have to be enclosed in glass or can it be a little cage that plants may extend out of? ❁ The terrarium does not need to be enclosed in glass! With the encroaching flora trait, plants can extend out of a cage and around the karurium body.

Can terrariums have additional things with their pilot? Ex: water, glitter, snowflakes, etc. ❁ Yes! The terrarium can look as pretty as you like as long as their pilot is the main focus. The terrarium is a little pocket dimension and is suited to accommodate each pilot accordingly.

Can animal traits, wings, horns, etc. be used for terrariums? ❁ Yes they can! You can even put terrariums in the eyes!

Do terrariums need to take up the entire limb/body part? ❁ No, just as long as they're somewhere on the area!

Does water in terrariums need to be naturally colored? ❁ No! It doesn’t need to be naturally colored.

If an entire body part or section is made of terrariums would it count as 3 terrariums? ❁ Yes. For body parts wherever there is a joint in the middle (elbow, knee, wrist, etc.) then it will count as more than one terrarium.

Can a single finger (without the palm) be terrariums? ❁ Yes. Each finger would count as one terrarium. However if you use the whole hand, palm connecting all fingers, it would be one whole terrarium.

Do the pilots in Karus need veterinarians or such? ❁ I would say veterinarian would be a vital job, but only for species outside of terrariums! Mostly because once something goes in the terrarium.. it is not coming out, but don't worry about pilots getting sick or anything! Karu terrariums provide a perfect habitat for whatever species they're housing and will be in perfect condition unless something bad happens to the karu itself!

Especially during the end times for humans where a majority of everything was ill or wounded, there was a bit of a frantic rush to create karus in a desperate attempt to preserve what they could.

Which sadly meant that many sick, feeble, or wounded pilots would get made into karus- which meant that the karu itself would probably be working overtime and require an excessive amount of extra energy keeping their pilot alive- on top of feeling like garbage because their pilot was in the worst condition possible.

But!! If they somehow manage to get over the worst of it, I think pilots would eventually recover from whatever illness/injury they have if given enough time...it wouldn't be an instant process and it's still hard on the karu, but there is still hope for them! Especially since the condition inside the karu's terrarium is so well tailored to the needs of the pilot, that as long as the karu is running smoothly (and plenty of extra energy...) there would be a sort of healing process after a while,,

Though you could also just avoid all the grief by using healthier pilots! So I think that would still be a viable job!

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Optional Traits˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

How do new traits/features work in the Shop? ❁ New traits/features will be sold as it's own shop item. So you will have to purchase the specific trait in order to use it for a shop Karu. Unless otherwise specified by the trait/feature.

How do the rarities work for the encroaching flora, floating terrarium, and energy aura traits? ❁ Encroaching Flora is tied to common rarity as it only applies to plants. The Floating Terrariums follows the number of terrarium rarity. The energy Aura goes with the rarity of the Pilot.

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Untraited Features˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

Do I have to have ball-joints showing on my Karurium? ❁ Nope! Karurium come in all shapes and sizes and builds, so ball-joints are not necessary to be shown.

Can my Karu be an animal, or does it need to be humanoid? ❁ Karurium were made in the likeness of human beings, however they can include many traits of anthros and animals. Feral animals (as in a four legged creature), however, are not one of their design options.

How do I get a legendary Karurium? ❁ Legendary Karurium will be offered via special event only!

Can Karus be blind or otherwise have disabilities? ❁ Robots have the ability for their sense to malfunction, so it is possible for a Karurium to have a disability!

Are animal traits limited to rarities or traits for MYOs? ❁ No! Whatever cosmetics you want you can add! The only limits are on the traits of pilot, material, and amount of materials. Any add-ons do not have to match the pilot either so you can have cat ears on a non-cat pilot Karurium.

Can body parts float or be detached? Can the terrarium be detached? ❁ Yes body parts can float as these are robots that can use magic or a magnetic system. However, the terrarium must be attached to the body unless with a specific trait to detach it.

Can Karuriums have non-human limbs/ body parts? ❁ Yes. Karuriums can have other limbs that are not strictly humanoid.

Can karuriums have holographic limbs? ❁ Yes as long as there is no terrarium in the hologram.

Can karuriums have scars? ❁ Yes their body can become scarred and damaged.

When giving Karus parts like wings, do they actually work? ❁ Yes they can work!

When giving Karus pets, do they have a “rarity” or can we choose whatever? ❁ For pets, it does not matter what rarity they are since they are strictly mechanical and can imitate any creature.

Can a Karu have two heads? ❁ As long as it's cosmetic then yes!

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Other Design Questions˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

Can you make an already existing design into a Karurium? ❁ Yes you may turn a pre-existing design into a Karurium as long as you have the original designer’s permission! And as long as all the traits are added and such to the reference.

Can we upgrade MYOs by buying parts in the AU shop? And can we use shop items to upgrade a Karu to legendary? ❁ Basically there are two ways you can use the MYO parts from the shop!

1. You can collect all three different item parts (a material, a terrarium, and a pilot) and combine those to create a free MYO, however you will be restricted to using the traits of the items (for example, if the material item is the amethyst one, then you have to use amethyst in your final design, as well as the type of pilot that the purchased item is- u cannot change the shop item traits!!)

2. You can "add-on" the shop items to an already existing character or MYO. For existing characters, you can add on only materials and terrariums, since the character already have a pilot that cannot be changed- but with a MYO that has yet to be drawn, you can add a pilot MYO part that is a higher rarity to technically increase that rarity of the MYO, but you'll have to use whatever species of pilot that the item lists (you don't necessarily need to add the material and terrarium items to the MYO since common MYOs already have 1 of each- however you can "increase" the rarity in the same way)

As for using Shop items to make a Karurium legendary, no. Shop items cannot be used to make a legendary Karurium. However, there are rare moments when legendary pilots will be sold!

Can we draw one-off art of non-Karu characters as Karus? ❁ A one-off drawing is totally fine to us! However, if you were to want to make an existing character a Karurium AU and draw them as a karu more often/participate in events, it would require a MYO and masterlist Dex #.

What slot rarity is needed for a crossbreed MYO? ❁ A legendary slot is required for crossbreed!

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Karurium Lore˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

Do Karurium have genders? ❁ No, Karurium inherently have no gender, nor do they have much concept of it. Many imitate how humans presented themselves and others have no attachment to it.

How do Karurium reproduce? ❁ Karurium are incapable of reproduction, though they can create other Karurium by craft- a special technique that's been passed down to the knowledgeable.

˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*❁*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚

Am I a Karurium? ❁ Yes.

So Karurium have one gem OR metal, what's the rest of their body made of? ❁ They're made of a sturdy porcelain-esque material painstakingly developed by human scientists to withstand the ordinary damage sustained from day to day life.

Can I choose where my Karurium lives? ❁ At the moment, all new Karurium will reside anywhere in Elisium, however, events in the future will allow you to create Karurium from all over Inecia.

Can I make a Karurium that's from outside the city? ❁ Outside is far too dangerous for any normal Karurium to simply wander around, but the same answer reigns true from the question just above. In special circumstances, you can always consult a moderator to work out some lore for your character!

Can I make a Karurium that kills other Karuriums? ❁ Though some Karurium do display violent tendencies due to their rambunctious pilots, they all have an internal failsafe system that prevents them from gravely injuring any form of life. There is no way to bypass this system as we know it, but the future holds many opportunities...

Does the Karurium universe/time period have holidays? ❁ The Karurium time period tends to mimic traditions and cultures from the days passed, though only dedicated historians have a somewhat accurate view on human culture. Many Karurium have taken it upon themselves to start their own holidays and celebrations whenever they feel like it.

I want to make an evil Karurium, is this possible? ❁ Karurium merely display the wants of their pilots, so they are not inherently peaceful, nor are they inherently violent. Their personalities can vary immensely but in the end are most influenced by the nature of their pilot.

How do karuriums feel emotion?❁ Karurium feel differently from humans, though it's not like they feel any "less" than humans- just differently. Karurium are fundamentally structured differently from humans (being commanded by a non-human pilot after all) and what could be considered instinctual emotions and feelings to them are related directly to what their pilot already feels and experiences as that non-human organism.

Any trademark "human" emotions are all learned firsthand from humans (or other karus) or installed behaviors (since they also have an AI). Emotions and feelings foreign to both the pilot and AI will have to be "learned", and that applies to many distinctly human emotions and feelings. Since Karurium are very non-human at their core, many of these distinctly human feelings and experiences will be unknown to them.

I wouldn't say that they're "less able" to experience emotions but there are definitely types of specifically human emotions to them that many karus don't inherently grasp based on their pilot (like love or mourning or jealousy) but karus generally are quite enamored with living what humans lived and feeling what humans felt even if at their core the feeling doesn't seem necessary to them- to many karu, they wish to recreate the human experience as closely as they can.

Like karus most likely don't inherently know what love is in the human sense (human dating rituals for example) but as shown in the valentine's event there are a Large portion of karus who want to relive/mimic the human experience, and also a large portion who don't care about the human experience, so everyone develops their way of how to "feel" differently.

Can Karuriums power off and back on again? How does it work? ❁ They can do it willingly, but also as an emergency life preserving method! "Sleep" to karus is mainly this function, and any sort of powered-down mode for them is basically a stasis where they neither gain nor lose power- in this case they can just set up a timer and get "awoken" automatically, or get woken up by somebody else waking them up.

In an emergency, or where the karus feel like they're in an area where they might not be able to gain power/a dangerous situation/super low power in general, they might have their emergency life preserving mode kick in, where they enter that stasis mode where the body's priority is to keep the pilot safe. In this scenario, the karu would not wake again, potentially for forever, unless someone else comes along and wakes them up.

There is also a manual shut off where someone else could turn off a karu, but probably only the creator of that karu since they would all be built slightly differently from one another.

What happens when a Karu is damaged? How do they heal/are they repaired? ❁ Yes they can certainly get cracked and broken after suffering from serious physical stress! however, most karu will be perfectly fine- unless their terrariums are compromised (which is a big no no!!!)-- most will kinda just be inconvenienced until they can get it fixed by karurium who specialize in restoration! there are many karus who dedicate themselves to restoring parts and such.

Could Karus replace their limbs willingly? ❁ TECHNICALLY YES to this question! they can interchange parts and such (excluding terrarium parts)- but on a more technical level it is preferred if a redesign voucher is used when making drastic design changes like that!

Do Karus need anything to survive? ❁ Yes, they all require different types of energy to keep running!! while sleeping doesn't "recharge" them so much as it puts them in an energy stasis/where their energy doesn't deplete, many karu find different ways of recharging be it solar power, lunar power, straight up electricity, etc. etc. though it certainly depends on the karu for what their preferences are!! plant karus might prefer solar power, while nocturnal animal karus would prefer the lunar variant ... and so on.

Can Karu’s eat? ❁ They don't eat in the traditional sense since most types of food would involve harming living creatures HAHA but there are definitely a few dedicated to reproducing human cooking with...say...other synthetic materials made in a way that a karu would actually gain energy from it- like a battery or something.

if there's a karu determined enough i suppose the closest they could get was model recreations of food but yea they don't inherently need it so besides replicating what humans did synthetically not many are very interested.

Do the Karus’ pilots need to be fed/watered/etc.? ❁ Nope! the pilots will function as long as their karu functions, which means all their needs will be taken care of, basically this means that the energy from the karu is what sustains the pilot and vice versa.

However, karu might display traits of how their pilot would usually restore their energy instinctively (example: plant karus might be seen sunbathing and enjoy being under water...some karus might hibernate if their pilot tends to do so...and so on) even if it's of no benefit to them.

Are Karuriums AIs? Or do they become sentient through the pilot species?❁ Karus are ai built off how humans acted but their pilots ultimately influence them more.

Are Karus affected by age in any way? ❁ Karus can live for a super long time and aren't affected by age! Usually they only break down when heavily affected by other outside factors that render them inoperable.

Can Karuriums use gendered pronouns? ❁ Yes. Some choose not to adhere to the human idea of gender but there are quite a few that do follow it. It is up to your karurium.

Is there a limit to how old a Karurium can be? ❁ Karuriums are technically immortal as long as they aren’t destroyed so there are many from the time when humans were around!

Can Karus get drunk? ❁ They are robots, so probably not alcohol. There may be some substances out there that can fry their circuit boards just like alcohol does.

Can Karus feel weather effects like temperature? ❁ They can! Since they were created to essentially resemble humans in every way and are very advanced, they do feel cold/heat! It can be hacked out, though, if the Karu doesn't want feelings.

Also, the little guys inside of the Karu would probably not last through something their outer shell wouldn't! So, like, if your Karu fell in a volcano and their materials and shell melted.... Well... RIP.

Can any Karu learn how to build another Karu? ❁ Pretty much anyone can learn as long as they can find someone willing to teach it! It isn't a particularly well guarded secret or anything, there are a couple of scholars dedicated to karu creation that I'm sure would love teaching those who want to learn!

Do Karus suffer from wear-and-tear? ❁ Karu are very sturdy! They were specifically made to be very durable and withstand ordinary day-to-day wear and tear- i don't think many creators would create karus with easily breakable parts that wear down easily.

Since it's also very advanced technology and karu were made to last a suuuper long time, most karu won't see their parts breaking if they take care of themselves/occasional check up maintenance. Of course in abnormal conditions they could probably be easily torn apart but that's like if they walked into a violent storm with no protection.

TLDR: Karu are very sturdy and built to last a super long time!

Do we need to put the Karus into their canon world or can we use them wherever/however we want? ❁ You aren't restricted to just their world, if you'd like your own karu somewhere else that's perfectly A-Ok!

Can we mention non-approved Karurium characters in approved Karurium’s backstories? ❁ Yes, mentioning other undesigned Karus in your bio is perfectly fine! They just won't be an "official" character until you procure a MYO for them and get them approved.

What does the world look like currently? ❁ It has been a significant time since the extinction of humans to the point that the Karu have been able to rebuild. The city of Elisium specifically is rather nicely built with their buildings incorporating plant life in as many places as possible.

Since the air outside is still toxic, each city is made to be a giant dome with energy shields to protect against any storm and in order to help stimulate healthy atmosphere for life in general.

Human ruins do still exist outside of the rebuilt karu cities as well but those are in a state of crumbling rubble. The storms and toxic air have certainly caused a lot of damage.

What does the magic of Karus look like? How does it work? ❁ There is some magic that karus can wield...it's kinda a cross-cross situation- but their power usually comes from the gemstones that power them. Wait the term is. Half and half. Technology and magic.

Basically just any type of rpg-esque magic!! Destructive, healing spells sort of deal ... We typed out an example list a while ago so let me toss that here as inspo.

Elemental - Fire, water, earth, air, light, dark etc.

Conjuring - Summon things be it items or creatures. Could be limited to things that already exist or even possibly made up ones?

Illusional - Make environments and scenarios out of thin air. It doesn't create anything tangible.

Rune - learned spells from ancient sources. Complicated and takes time to master. Must know the runes to each spell. Could be something where you write it in the air or on a surface and once its complete one presses on it for activation?

And more...this was just us brain storming random stuff. Ofc the competency of your karu at magic depends on their magicae stat and many many karu choose not to learn magic at all. So while some karu may have potential for magic, others don't, kinda deal.

Can pets for Karus be “legendary”? ❁ In terms of real pets they're about as rare as actual mythological creatures are- like barely exist level of rare (but since magic exists here, plausible), though many karurium like to imitate mythical creatures with robot critters and the like so probably not for the common use as a pet but an imitation of one is A-ok!!

If a Karu has a pet, could they use that to build a new Karu with the pet as the pilot? ❁ They could, technically, if the pet is alive!! A lot of karus like keeping robot pets if they can't find a species they like but yes in theory they could take a pet and make it into a karu. Given they actually know how to, since it's usually a complicated skill set that you have to be mentored for.

As for whether or not it's considered unethical...many karu will think that it is, simply because there might be a belief system where they wish to keep nature in its purest form and see karu as helpers/assistants to protect nature, not as the end goal.

However, karus were technically meant to preserve all kinds of nature, so others might view it as the solution to help protect those species! And then others simply might not care.

But as a whole, i don't think society has a particularly negative view on it- also since karu would probably see pets as more their equal than humans did (since they are also technically pet species) they would treat them far nicer.

Are there restrictions to backstories and stories featuring humans? ❁ Making human characters for backstory is fine! As for what it was like, by the time karus were being made and all to the extinction after, it was pretty much a gradual dystopian with the introduction of violent storms that took out a majority of the population, with the stragglers not surviving for very long after.

Inconclusion it would be ok for non-event submissions as long as a karu is involved somehow. Since there isn't much public lore about human society revealed yet.

Can a Karu have two Ai's? ❁ No. A karurium is meant to be the ideal environment for its pilots. All pilots are willing to live with one another and function as a collective conscious. So there cannot be 2 Ai's otherwise the karurium would be unfunctional. This would also apply to two-headed creatures. Collectively they would function together not separate.

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚About Elisium˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

Is there a government or otherwise ruler? Are there laws or rules like them? ❁ Basically any system that resembles a judicial/ruling system is simply a mediocre mockery of what the human system used to be; obviously a lot of human values that shaped the way ruling/judicial systems are now don't apply or make sense to karus, so any system that does exist doesn't really have a solid structure enforced by a majority of the city (most karus don't care for ruling or government).

So yes there is a type of "ruling" system, but only the karus who were trained in it or study it are the ones who manage it or enforce it, and there's no "one" ruler or set government system or anything! I know it sounds chaotic and disorganized, but karu society isn't very turbulent enough to require major court systems or a "government" and the reason it would mainly exist is because of other karus passionate enough to continue the work that humans had in the past.

If it helps, you can imagine a lot of karu society is just roleplaying what human society was like, a majority of them don't truly understand it since their motivations and ideologies are different simply because of how they're made. Of course this can lead to some conflict but also a majority of karus aren't violently inclined and some are just neutral about everything.

Yes most karus can just figure out their issues by themselves pretty much! but definitely law enforcement and judge karus exist from being trained by humans and would definitely love to help karus out too.

What does Elisium look like? Do the districts have any clear divide? What does the barrier look like? ❁ So Elisium I imagine is kinda hybrid metropolitan and european city so I'm sure there would be quite a few buildings with many stories...however since it's built off ruins i imagine a lot of the extremely tall ones have long since toppled over or were rebuilt to be smaller...or just begrudgingly built up again if anyone really felt like it!!

I'm not exactly sure how to answer the "how many floors" question because it seems too specific and i don't really know the size of high story buildings in relation to everything else, there's no more massive skyscrapers anymore, but it's not like every building is 1 or 2 stories only either.

"Forests" can exist and are more like small portions of the city that have been overtaken by flora that can definitely be found further out in the city (exterior district/outskirts for example) but the inner city is more habitable for karus, though still with dedicated gardens and occasional overgrowth or what not.

Adding onto this, karus don't think of overgrowth as detrimental so there's definitely plants everywhere- they're mostly just concerned if it's growth that threatens a building's infrastructure etc.

The districts don't have a clear divide (no walls or anything) and are more or less just concentric mapped city zones based on current karu development (inner being most developed and outer being least developed) developed in this case meaning repaired or generally cleaned up since Elisium was rebuilt on top of previous city ruins.

Karus can get close to the borders but it's generally recommended to stay a fairly large distance away from them in case any freak accidents happen- there's not like guards or outposts out there but it's more demolished buildings and overgrown plants and most karus should be reasonable enough not to try to tread out there.

No wall around the city- the barrier is magic. Karus can see what's going on outside but visibility can be very poor when a storm is ongoing- though they don't engulf Elisium.

And the city is incredibly large, being the largest and most developed city in the country, it's very bustling and has a ton of room- though not because it was specifically built over one city in particular, but rather a spread of area that the storms don't go near in general (which happen to include many city ruins).

In the past the storms were much more frequent and engulfed more of the country which is why ruins are prevalent, but the posted map in ❁species-lore (that i also posted here lol) details the current general storm path and generally where the other settlements are in inecia (but lorewise at the moment only elisium has been covered).

How technologically advanced are Karus? ❁ They are pretty technologically advanced since their humans were also very technologically advanced to the point they could make karus in the first place.

Are there living animals outside of terrariums? ❁ While there have been slow attempts to reintroduce animals into the karu's cities it's certainly not bustlin and hustlin like you'd consider today (no mass pet ownership for one) and some karu are so terrible at taking care of things that it's quite trendy to own robotic pets and what not.

That being said, there is definitely 100% animals and life wandering around only in the protected karu cities (more abundant near the heart of the city/inner city since it's safest)...stuff near the outskirts is pretty barren since even animals are alarmed/unsettled by the storms that are constantly brewing out there.

Is there still weather inside Elisium’s barrier? ❁ Elisium is a nicely build up city with plants incorporated in as many places as possible. So you'd see plant walls, vines, planter boxes etc. Since the city is protected by a shielded energy dome to ward off the storms and toxic air, plants can be found outside of a terrarium. Gardens exist, tended to by various karu, and the city does have mild weather like rain and snow. Just nothing too terribly extreme to be detrimental to its inhabitants.

What is the situation with literature for Karus? Do they create their own work or only what’s left of humanity? ❁ They can make their own, read what's left, anything.Karus can be creative and have their own emotions and be self-sufficient, too. Karu writings just most likely wouldn't be about the same kinds of things that humans like us have. Like.. They'd probably be more likely to write some cool sci-fi about the way things used to be, or philosophical things, than they would be to write a romance novel, but anything is possible!

What does communication look like in Elisium? ❁ So as long as the communication is solely inside Elisium, it should be fairly decent! Phones with short distance connectivity and such, letters, etc I can imagine it all works fine! The storms just are so powerful its near impossible for signals to make it through! Inside though karus can message each other through technological means too though!

What are the other cities in the world like? Is there a diagram for the protective barrier-domes? ❁ So information about the other cities at this point is purposefully a secret! The species is operating on a system where more lore and information about karurium history and the country is unraveled through the lifetime of the species, so the longer it goes on, the more will be revealed about aspects like that! So at the moment the cities outside of Elisium are mystery zones and will be revealed more about through lore-related events and announcements!

Now, lore-wise, all karurium in Elisium don't know of other settlements outside of their city, as all outside contact with the world has been lost with the introduction of the violent storms and general untravelable-ness of the landscape.

How much of humanity did survive? How are things salvaged if they (currently) don't leave the city? Are they, at this point in time, stuck with learning about the past, and can only go forward, make their own assumptions? ❁ So there are some electronics left over, especially within the inner city. However the storms ravaged the world and cut off communication heavily- thus the internet is also quite primitive if existing at all… for now. Karus are stuck learning about the past from artifacts and literature left over- but nothing like what existed in humanity’s time. A lot is assumed or guessed in their world- perhaps hotly debated too! As for radio signals, all short range and limited- especially impossible past any large storm. This isn’t to say the future won’t hold interesting possibilities though.

Do Karus use AU as currency like we use our money? Is AU paper bills/coins? Do Karus work rather with trading and favors rather than exchanging money for goods/services? ❁ Karus are most definitely copying the human money system even if they don't entirely understand it LOL!!! and coins! and for the last question it definitely depends on the karu some think it's kinda stupid for them to follow a system nobody really understands/doesn't benefit them and others just like copying what humans did in the past.

Can we make up places and such in Elisium ourselves freely? ❁ Yes, you can totally make things up within Elisium! As long as it doesn't branch outside of the city and respects the general city quadrant guide then anything should be good!!

Can Karus explore outside of the barrier domes? ❁ Currently, the general Karu is not equipped enough to venture outside of the city just yet. And most that do... never return. The storms and unknown dangers that await keep the Karus safely tucked inside the city for now. However, with advancements in offensive/defensive technology and increased armor, there might be a way. You'll have to wait and see~

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Aulium and the Shop˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

What is Aulium? ❁ Aulium (AU) is the species currency for Karurium!

Now what is Aulium? ❁ AU comes in the form of little golden leaves, expressed in this emoji (which you will probably be seeing everywhere)

How do I earn Aulium? ❁ Aulium can be earned through the following:

❁ submitting art and literature in non-event-submissions channel

❁ participating in events and submitting in event-submissions channel

❁ using the !work or !crime commands in bot-commands channel

❁ trade for AU in item-and-au-trade channel

❁ advertisement of our species, including discord server, adopts, events, etc will be rewarded with 10 AU each

❁ referring a friend to join our server will be rewarded 100 AU

❁ boosters get 500 AU per boost

❁ guest artists and event team members get AU according to the number of adopts/events created

Can AU be converted to real-life currency? ❁ Nope! And it will never ever equate real-life currency, you cannot purchase AU.

How do I use the shop? ❁ Just use the !shop command in ❀⸙͎۪۫piscis-trader ! Don't be afraid to ask for help if you run into any trouble.

How do I use items? ❁ Let a staff member know what items you are planning to use and we will personally come and help you out! Do not use the !use item command unless you've double checked with us first.

How often will items in the shop be updated? ❁ Once every 2 weeks!

Can we make tiny changes to bought items from the shop? ❁ I’d have to know what the changes are, but minor things should be alright as long as it loosely matches the description! But say for instance you got a heart halo, but you want to make it look more like a broken heart, or change its color to a darker color that would be perfectly fine!

*•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚Stats and Equipment˚•̩̩͙❀•̩̩͙˚*

What are Stats? ❁ Every Karurium has point values assigned to their three stats; Vi, Magicae, and Auxilium. MYOs start with 0 points in each category, while adopts and event Karurium may have even more!

What are Stats good for? ❁ At the moment, they serve as lore and character story purposes only, however...there are big plans for the future, so keep your eyes open

What is the max Stat point value? ❁ Stat points cap at 10.

What is equipment? ❁ Equipment can be purchased in the server shop, and will be included in the shop restock every week. Each equipment has a different stat bonus.

How do I equip equipment? ❁ After purchasing some, head on over to ❀⸙͎۪۫karurium-update and fill out a character card with the equipment you'd like to put on your Karurium! Stat changes will not be recognized unless they are done via this method.

What is Vi? ❁ Vi is the stat for strength and endurance related abilities. This can apply to stamina, high power, running or jumping skills...pretty much anything that falls under the 'strength' umbrella.

What is Magicae? ❁ Magicae is the stat for knowledge and magic related abilities. The Karurium can be either book smart, know magic, or just be logical and wise...pretty much anything that falls under this umbrella.

What is Auxilium? ❁ Auxilium is the stat for support and social related abilities. This can apply to healing and mending skills, social skills like charisma, or anything that doesn't fall under Vi or Magicae.

Can we equip multiple of the same items to stack their stat boosts? ❁ Yes. but it will be horribly inconvenient since it's more beneficial to purchase the higher stat items instead of 10 of the low stat ones.
